Breakfast was superb with fresh baked croissants made by the chef's daughter who is a certified baker. My wife and I took a cooking lesson with the chef/hotel director. The original monastery was built in the 11th century and sections of the original building and adjacent chapel/church remain. Restaurant is of Michelin star quality with an incredible tasting menu.

Swimming pool could have been cleaner. Staff forgot to give us the hotel entry code for which the director severely apologized. There is not much to do locally in way of activities so you are "lost" without a car.

The building is amazing and the rooms and setting was great. really interesting Plaimant cooperative just round the corner who also own the building.

booking.com page for the hotel didn’t state they were not open for food on the Monday and the spa was not open the Monday or Tuesday. We were only informed a week before the stay and this was after the free cancellation had past. tphe staff did put on a salad for us despite being closed which was very nice of them but quite frustrating to stay at somewhere where the food and spa are one of the main attractions and not have access to either.

Excellent breakfast

We requested a twin room as our adult children were sharing a room. It was a double room - when we asked if it could be changed the member of staff said it could not be done until the next day. We asked if they had spare sheets and we could do it but we’re told no - it was too much of a process. All it needed were the beds separating and remaking which we would have been happy to do. The next day ( after we had separated the beds and used the bottom sheet folded over for one bed and the duvet cover folded over for the other bed) the beds were made up but one still without a top sheet. They only made them up properly for the third night.

The hotel and location itself are stunning. If you like the intimacy of a small hotel in a beautiful location in a drop dead gorgeous building/monastery; this is it.

Within this price range one would expect a few amenities to be included in the rate. Breakfast (Euro 16,00 p.p) is not included. There is no coffee machine in the room. But what struck us most was the lack of a warm, welcoming team. All very professional but, at least when we were there, genuine interest in us, the guests, was missing. When you stay in a such a beautiful place, the team can be the final touch. It wasn’t and that’s a real shame.

Amazing....stunning renovated building with carefully thought-out positioning and decor. Béatrice et Jean-Paul were exceptional hosts, accommodating our every need. The dining on the terrace is divine and the cuisine... definitely Michelin star. We had a wonderful whirlwind stay and hope to visit again!

This is one of the most lovely places we have ever stayed at, and we have travelled a lot during the years. The most lovely staff (family run hotel), amazing food and such beautiful surroundings. This place should be on your bucket list!! Stayed for 3 nights and loved every minute of it.

The staff was amazing. Late Dinner and Check in went flawless, fastest no hassle check in ever. Beds were super comfortable and dinner was amazing. Location is gorgeous and the monastery is really beautiful.
