The receptionist Jonathan absolutely made our stay. Welcoming, charming, informative, helpful, he brightened up the dull reception area.

The hotel needs to be redecorated, the towels need to be replaced. The air conditioning needs to be replaced. The artwork in room 16 should be binned. Dreadful taste. Breakfast very basic for 12€ Price invoiced by Booking considerably more expensive than the rate announced at the reception. I would appreciate an explanation.

Hotel Playa was very close to the harbour which is the focus of the town, The hotel was very clean and the room was very comfortable. the air conditioning worked well. The reception was attended all the time. I call the hotel a "nearly hotel" because it was nearly a great hotel. Little things let it down, for example, the breakfast room is a main feature and is a prominent picture in their showcasing of the hotel yet it is very underused. We had breakfast in it one day and we were the only people using it and there was little or no evidence to suggest that others had used it that morning. We met several reception attendants during our short stay, all were lovely, but one was slightly negative. However, I must stress that I found Hotel Playa to be very good indeed, especially for St Tropez. It is now my hotel of choice for that town. I noticed it on a previous visit and am not disappointed

The breakfast was a bit expensive but that's St. Tropez. Whilst I liked the breakfast my partner didn't. The coffee wasn't good and the croissants could have been a bit crisper.

Hotel Playa was the best 3-star I've been at in a loooong time!! Although it's an older building, it was perfectly clean, no odors, no peeling paint and an excellent location. Excellent value. My top floor room was large, the king bed was large and very comfortable and the bathroom was a good size. The simple decor was acceptable with yellow accents. At the reception, the gentleman was super friendly and cheerful. The woman needs to be more patient, friendlier and more caring.

Unfortunately the first night the smoking alarm started to ring at 4.30 am for about 10minutes, waking us up. We had very hard time going back to sleep we were scared because people were drunk and nobody explained us what was going on… at 6.15am the alarm rang again. Later that day the reception explained us it was due to drunk girls celebrating something.

The room was nice, clean and very well decorated. It had a big and comfortable bed with amazing pillows. Bathroom also good and has a bathtub. Location is amazing! Walking distance to the Parking at the Port, also to comercial streets and the Vieille Ville. The neighborhood is super safe, cute and well located. The staff was also very nice and friendly.

The wifi was a bit slow and sometimes it just didn't work. Besides that, breakfast was ok, but it could have more items like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, fruits, things like that. It basically only had bread, pain au chocolat, croissant and liquids

Very convenient location, no available parking for the hotel but staff was helpful to advise where we could park. We also were able to check-in slightly earlier when we arrived. Comfortable beds and clean. Good value for St Tropez and all the staff we interacted with were helpful and polite. Very happy with our short stay there! Thank you.

The room is on the small side and you can hear the road noise as well has other guests from the floor on top if you are a light sleeper but it was not a big problem for us at all.

The price was higher than it should be: for this room 150€ (80€ less than I’ve paid would be perfect)

Excelent location. Staff was nice. And overall excellent value for money. Don’t expect a 5 star hotel but is an excellent option if you want to be in St Tropez center with everything walking distance.

Had a third floor room (3 out of 3) and doesn’t have elevator. Was a bit annoying with luggage as you have to carry it yourself.

Location was great - smack downtown! Couldn't have asked for a better location and great water pressure in the showers as well! All in all good for the price!

The lady at the front desk said we weren't allowed to hang on to our key when we left and made us keep it with her when we'd go out to grab food. Made us a little uncomfortable.

The staff was excellent and very helpful. The location was stellar and the room was clean and nicely decorated. We were very comfortable.

Not the hotels fault, but there were some very loud gusts who had multiple rooms and were yelling as they jumped between rooms at 4 AM. But..no points off for that. Only comfort issue was that the king bed was two single mattresses together. By the middle of the night there was about an inch gap between me and my girlfriends sides of the bed.
