Staying at the Chateau was a dream come true! The castle, its furnishings, surroundings, and atmosphere were all exceptional, Our hosts made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. If you are interested in having an authentic castle experience, this is the place. We hated to leave and would love to return. We appreciate our hosts and the lovely stay we had at Chateau des Martinanches.

Beautiful chateau in beautiful countryside. No dinner options but our request to picnic in the garden was met with enthusiasm and we were supplied plates/cutlery and wine glasses - and had a choice of “dining” locations throughout the grounds. Incredibly peaceful location.

Location was lovely and hosts very accomodating. The tour of the château was an added extra! Loved it that the owners have tried to keep the old nature of the place but with modern facilities .
Bearing in mind the remote location was disappointed that no evening meal available. When in France it's nice to have wine with a meal but if you have to go out there's driving involved!

The owners were very accommodating and nice. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. Their centuries old chateau is full of history and beautiful furnishings. Breakfast was tasty with lovely dishes from Limoges.
the wifi was practically non-existent, due to 3-4 foot thick walls.
