Amazing hotel and amazing experience! We were staying in the family suite with its own terrace where you can have breakfast with the views of the sea and St. Tropez. Very friendly staff and beautiful pool

- if you are tall, going to the bathroom at night can be a problem :) we were regularly hitting our heads against the beams of the sloping ceiling - the smaller room of the suite didn't have an AC conditioner so it was getting a bit hot at night - this one is definitely not the hotels fault but I would love to know that sooner: when you look at the map you think that it is around 15 mins drive to the central part of St. Tropez but because of constant traffic jams pls plan around 1-1.5hours each way (I am not kidding). They have a wonderful beach nearby though so I would plan to stay mostly there.

I have stayed here before and wanted to come back because the location is so lovely. It's only a small hotel, which I prefer, the staff are friendly and helpful. The views across the golf of St Tropez are lovely. I love Ste Maxime but prefer to stay a little distance from the noise and bustle. It's just a short walk along the seafront to get into town.

I think the floors in the room could have been a little cleaner and the floor on the terrace needed a really good clean! Everything else was clean and lovely though. It's hard to keep floors clean in a seaside hotel though.

This is a wonderful small hotel. It has a lot of charm and very friendly owners and staff. You cannot beat the view from this hotel which is literally on the water and the food is very good both in terms of breakfast and the lunch and dinners. The pool is fantastic and it is great to be able to go in the sea directly from the hotel although a wooden jetty would have made it easier to get in and out of the sea.

I guess it is standard in the South of France in this sort of location and this time of year (we were there in mid July) but the price is very high for the quality of the hotel (decor etc) and the size of the rooms. Our room was in the loft and the access to it was along corridor with very low ceilings which were about 6ft and I am 6ft 5 and the bathroom had a number of beams at my head height so I did hit my head a couple of times!

The hotel is very welcoming. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food is exceptional and breakfast offered top quality ingredients. The location is perfect for a short 5 minute walk into town. Parking is available

I liked everything about the property. Perhaps the only minor point was we had the suite. This is an old building (super cute) and I understand there are restrictions in height levels in the roof space where the suite is located. However, at top rate pricing, I maybe would have suggested an upgrade in the bathroom design and add a walk in shower. Clever design would definitely accommodate this. Overall, though, we had no complaints!

The staff were very helpful and smiley ,the view from the room is charming ,the swimming pool is like a dream amazing.location is near everything walking along the beach to the centre is about 7 minutes.the breakfast room was amazing with panoramic view of the sea.

There is no too much choices in the breakfast buffet it doesn't deserve the €22 .

The property is right next to the sea, so great If you do not want to leave the hotel. It is very chill and relaxed and the pool was great. The location is also great. If you wish to take a ferry to St.Tropez, it is 15 mins walk from the Port. The staff are super kind and informative. My partner had food poisoning ( ate at a restaurant outside) and they did their best to find us a doctor. We really liked the clean towels and the super clean room and our room was very spacious. The parking is free and each room has 1 parking space.

We stayed at room number 1 which faces the reception and starting from 6.30 am onwards we heard every single talk and it was super loud. After working all summer long we wanted to have some peace and long sleeps. So do not get room number 1 If you are looking for silence. Bathrooms need to be renovated and I am 1.70cm tall and my head was touching the ceiling when taking a shower. My partner is 1.90cm tall and unfortunately he had to sit to be able to take a bath. You have to give your keys to the reception every-time you go out for a long time, which was a bit awkward. We wished we could have some sort of snacks at the seaside, not just the drinks.

A lovely hotel set right on the sea with great views across to St Tropez. We enjoyed the pool area it was a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of St Maxime which was only a short walk away. We would recommend the restaurant for dinner.

Beautiful location . Easy walk to st maxime . Infinity pool is lovely . Very friendly staff . Restaurant menu looked amazing although we didn’t eat there . Restaurant itself is stunning overlooking water . We had a fine big spacious room ( family room ) . I think I’ll book a room overlooking water next time . No problem parking

Shame there was no bar

The breakfast, the view from our room and the staff all were exceptional. Loved the style and ambience of the hotel.

Dinner was not as good as we were expecting. The room we had was a bit small for our 3 night stay. We should have asked if there was a larger one available so that was down to us.

Everyone raves about the infinity pool that rises from the sea overlooking St Tropez, and the first class cooking in the panoramic restaurant. And it's all true. But what surprised us the most (particularly given some negative comments online) was the warmth and charm of all the staff. There was no hint of snobbery or stiffness. We are clearly no glitterati, just two frazzled parents making the most of having the grandparents look after the toddler :) When we arrived we were a sweaty mess in backpacks and t-shirts, but Corinne at the front desk gave us the best welcome, she showed us around the whole place and invited us to take a dip immediately. She arranged a table by the window with a glorious view and all the waiters and the chef were so attentive and kind, even though we ordered no starters or wine. The room was rustic but the bed was good and the balcony was stunning. The 12pm checkout gave us a chance to enjoy the wonderful breakfast (steep at 20 euros but includes lemon cake, french toast, a boil your own egg machine, fruit salad etc) and lounge around the pool and tiny private beach to our hearts content. Thanks to everyone at La Belle Aurore for a lovely stay.

It was high season but the room price was very steep even for the area (over 350 a night). Breakfast should really be included in that price... Kettle in room would also have been welcome. The bathroom was functional but old.
