Worth staying just for the location which is very impressive. Rooms were clean with good quality finishings. Staff were very helpful and we thought the. evening meal though not cheap warranted the price and was of a very high standard with excellent service

Tea and coffee facilities in the room were poor and did not match the quality of the rest of the hotel. You can only park inside the fort between 1800-1000 or risk a fine from the police, this wasn't mentioned on the website though you can park in the public carpark which was full when we got there on a Sunday PM

Stayed here before and in a good location after a mid-morning crossing from Folkestone on the way to the Black Forest using D roads. If you do not know where the entrance is it could be difficult to find but just follow the signposts for the Fort. Very good to see how they have made comfortable rooms but kept the integrity of the old Fort buildings. Also had time this trip to do the Chateaux visitor tour and found it interesting and worthwhile with a lovely bar located at the end of it. Good breakfast and just a short walk into the old town for dinner with plenty of options.

This hotel is a part of the massive Sedan Castle. The room window overlooked the castle courtyard through two feet of stone wall. There is plenty of free parking just outside the castle main entrance. The room was fine: clean and functional. The breakfast was a little pricy for what it was but the dinner -- reservations strongly recommended -- was excellent. A neat place to stay if you are overnighting in Sedan.

The Wifi didn't work in the room -- no doubt the signal had a hard time getting through all the stone -- but down in the lobby -- which had a bar -- Wifi worked well.

Location, 2 mins walk from centre of Sedan, good parking inside the fort, but only from 6pm to 10am, staying in a fort experience

Small room, but we did book the cheaper room, no aircon, internet very poor, its is 2023 isn't it?....we didnt have any breakfast as it was €14 extra each, we looked into the restaurant and the breakfast wasn't 'help yourself' so we thought it would be small and expensive so gave it a miss, same as the evening meal.

Not often you get to stay in a fort! Incredibly well done, loads of character. Staff on reception were very helpful. Room and hotel was very clean. Hotel is definitely the gem of the entire city!

Room was hot, but having window open was not an issue and surroundings were very quiet. Didn't try the restaurant for evening meal or breakfast as was hard enough to even order a drink at the bar. Shame bar staff let down a fantastic team in the rest of the hotel. Bed on the firm side for us.

We liked our room, esp. the painting above our bed, the bed was excellent. Unfortunately we cannot judge the restaurant, since we were in town (there was a fair that evening), but the breakfast next morning was really satisfying.,

Of course we knew in advance that we were visiting a former fort, but still it looked like a gloomy medieval fortress and we were a bit disappointed at first sight.

The hotel is in the most beautiful location and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern but in keeping; just right. The restaurant is absolutely outstanding and, surprisingly, reasonably priced.

The hotel took full payment on our day of departure AND also charged my card held on the booking.com website for a similar amount. I am hoping this will be rectified quickly.

Was a unique experience to stay in the top of a castle. Our room had a door that opened onto the ramparts allowing us to walk around in the evening. It was off season so hardly any other guests there. Restaurant and bar were closed but a short drive put us at a recommended restaurant. The room was modern and comfy and quiet.

The remainder of the castle was not open in off season so we could not go to the museum.

The fortress is massive end daunting and amazing stay obviously architecture is a fortress one ;) but a superb experience and very nice rooms

difficult access to the fortress, you need to pay attention to the exact address or ask for help from the hotel the gps navigation have difficulty to find the fortress entry but what a monumental entry once there ;)

This hotel is full of character, as it is built into the Fort itself. There is plenty of parking and the location is on the edge of town where there are many restaurants and eateries. The welcome from the staff was excellent and the rooms were really nice , also having a dividing door and corridor between the bedroom and outside corridor keeping the bedroom isolated from outside noise.The restaurant was nice and breakfast good. We took the opportunity to do a tour of the old fort too which was interesting. Definitely worth a stay

The bedroom was very warm so both couples used the provided fans to cool things down. This was a minor inconvenience. As we are also normally at breakfast towards the latter part of the session, food stocks were not being replenished enough, so we had to ask. However the staff actually brought what we needed to our table which was nice.
