The Hotel enjoys a stunning location, but off the beaten track. Its setting above a Attendorn is a delight, bur accessed by a winding road well worth the journey. It is in a genuine castle (Burg). Our room was large and airy, well maintained and clean. The beds were comfortable and spacious. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Meals taken in the hotel were of good quality and of generous proportions. A delight to stay there!

Early arrivals had the best parking, but we got to see the farm animals. Watch out for the geese, they think they own the place!

The buildings and grounds were wonderful, a perfect place to sit for a drink and dinner on a beautiful summers evening. The food was excellent with plenty choices to suit everyone for dinner and breakfast. A number of things seem to be grown/made on site, the jams at breakfast were lovely. All staff we met were very friendly and helpful. Loved that this a working castle with geese, the family cat and donkey wandering around. The location on top of the hill gives great views. Rooms were spacious and clean. Plenty parking.

What a great location and what a friendly/attentive service by all staff. On top: rich and balanced breakfast buffet in a stylish breakfast-room. We booked the towerroom, which was great however (not surprising) not on a 2023 standard. The bathroom however is complete, and rather new/modern

A unique and wonderful stay in beautiful surroundings. The hotel was clean and beautifully decorated. The restaurant on site was fantastic amazing food. Breakfast was a large buffet with plenty of healthy options. Staff were wonderful. My dog was welcomed like part of the family, with her own bed, bowls and towel in the room for her. Coming up to Christmas time so fairy lights and decorations dotting the place really added to a gorgeous atmosphere. Close to plenty of nature walks. Would love to stay again.

The restaurant was fantastic, the service was very friendly. I was sitting outside in beautiful surroundings. I had burger and sweet potato chips which was delicious and my room was big and very nice.

The parking was a little bit tricky, not much space unfortunately. Apart from that there is nothing bad to say about this hotel.

Wonderful location for a quiet getaway. Clean, comfortable rooms. Fully stocked mini bar. Great food at the restaurant. Lots of walking and biking trails. I was there for a quiet, relaxing family weekend, to escape loud neighbors and busy schedules, visit the Atta cave, and enjoy some easy nature trails. We didn't want to be in a noisy family hotel, so chose this location. Bonus: my 9 yo princess could sleep in a real castle! We only stayed 1 night, because my kids would get restless after a couple of quiet days, but it was wonderfully refreshing for that short time. Burg Schnellenberg would be perfect for a romantic getaway, or even a solo trip for those who just want to get away from the hustle of everyday life.

The accommodation was excellent and the dinner and breakfast were both superb. The public rooms are all beautiful and perfectly in period. The staff were friendly and efficient. We only stayed the one night but would love to come back for a longer period.

I liked the rooms and their style. the evening meal was great and worth the money.

The breakfast was understaffed - we had to queue for a table and then wait 10 minutes for coffee. the hot water for tea dispenser didn’t work and when I mentioned this to a young member of staff he said “that’s not my department, you will have to tell someone else” which I thought was the wrong answer! But the food was good and was regularly topped up.

amazing and unique experience in a beautiful beautiful castle in the woods. definitely a recommendation!!! the staff is very friendly, especially the older lade at the breakfast. a wunderful woman with excellent service.

the restaurant is somewhat expensive for the quality of the food.

Staying in a real 13th century Castle is like a dream. We felt like medieval royalty, but with a comfortable bed and a super modern bath! The views and ambiance are magical.

Not one thing..well, parking is a challenge, but then again castles were built with cars in mind!
