From arrival until departure I had a wonderful stay - in fact, even after departure, as I was allowed to leave my rucksack there all day (there being no left-luggage lockers at the station). The (I presume) owner was friendly, kind and helpful; the room was ideal for me and perfectly comfortable; the bathroom - though TINY - had everything and, given the space constraints, was exceptionally well laid out; and in the morning the breakfast was quite simply the best and most imaginative I have ever had, with interesting and exotic homemade preserves, an abundance of fresh, hot bread/rolls, cheeses, hams, good coffee and - as well as the usual good-quality fruit juices - a delicious homemade elderflower drink. All in all, a hotel and a breakfast not to be missed.

Strictly speaking, there was nothing I didn't like. But it might be worth mentioning two things: first, the hotel is well situated for the town, but is a very long way from the railway station! And second, although I liked the bathroom it really is TINY and requires the occupant to slalom sideways - to take account of the basin and the towel rail - in order to get from the door to the toilet and further to the shower.

Room was nice size, great bathroom Staff where absolutely lovely Breakfast buffet was wide ranging and very tasty All in all a small quirky hotel in a beautiful building, in gorgeous surroundings close to the town centre

Only problem I had was I found bed very uncomfortable and kept waking up in pain during night, wasn't helped by tiny duvet. Shame really hotel was lovely but If I can't get a decent night's sleep sadly it will be my last visit. Be aware though beds are a very individual thing and other people probably would have no problem

Location is good.. close to the centre... lovely little balcony to have a drink on in the room.. breakfast was lovely.. nice mix of cold meats and various cheese and healthy foods... very nice... staff were very friendly .. secure parking for my motorbike..

Not a complaint.. just an observation... when I arrived in the room I went for a shower and the water wasn't hot, that was ok as I'd had a long day on the bike in the heat I wanted to cool down... next morning it was the same... I mentioned it to the staff and the owner/manager very quickly sorted it..the water heater in the bathroom was turned off... hey presto hot water... maybe it should be checked when the room is being prepared.... again not a complaint... it's also tricky to find, well it was for me and my satnav...even after meeting the owner who gave me directions from the top of the laneway, I missed it.. again not a complaint.... I'd recommend the hotel... :)

Such a beautiful and lovingly decorated little gem right next to the old town centre. And so peaceful and quiet, it was quite magical. And everything from shopping, sightseeing and nature walking was within a short walk’s distance. The breakfast buffet and extras to order were were all very good and lots of choice.

I couldn’t find anything missing. But I only stayed one night and didn’t meed very much and didn’t need to use the wifi, so I don’t know about those things.

We spent a couple of days visiting the Christmas Market in the stunningly beautiful town of Celle and the St Georg was a perfect spot to do it from. A short walk from the hotel to the centre of town, the hotel is in a peaceful location. The room was large and comfortable and all went well.

It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room but otherwise everything was great

The location is wonderful - a quiet, leafy street a few minutes walk from the centre of Celle. Very well lit rooms - (most hotels are badly lit). Excellent breakfast with a beautiful view from the breakfast room. Parking for the car (our host parked and fetched the car for us) at very reasonable cost. Friendly personnel.

It was not a problem for us but (as should be expected in such a beautiful old building) there is no lift.

Very friendly owners who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable - including kindly arranging for bikes for us. We would definitely recommend this lovely comfortable hotel in a delightful, quiet location just a short distance from the centre of Celle.

This is a lovely little family hotel we stayed at for the evening. It is centrally located and it is easy to get around Celle old town on foot. The staff were welcoming and helped with every question we had.

There are not lifts but that is to be expected in a traditional hotel. However we had a lot of luggage to move and the staff helped get it up but we had to get it all down!

This is a charming little hotel, situated in a quiet neighbourhood within walking distance from the city center. Breakfast was very good indeed; eggs are made at your request. Speaking about food, in the vicinity there is a restaurant where you can get the famous Rohe Roulade. In summary, the hotel can only be recommended.

This is a charming hotel in a very quiet street, it is walking distance to the main town. It is cosy and very clean. The room was great and well equipped. The owners are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was superb. Highly recommended.
