Everything was great here. Check in was easy and we were a little late at night. Parking is at the back of the hotel and easy to find once explained at check in. Language is a little hard if you don't speak Deutsche, but they are very polite and you will get through. The staff are very helpful and patient, which is rear in Germany. The room was clean and tidy. Everything was comfortable. Breakfast was good, of course German style, and they even ask you how you would like your eggs cooked. Overall good experience and would stay again when pass through this way.

The only thing I noticed is the carpets in the stair well could do with a professional clean. Everything else was good.

A wonderful place to stay, the hotel preserves the structure of the old post house with beautiful wooden planks, it is right next to a little stream, lots of birds, lush vegetation, pretty neighbourhood, spacious room and bathroom, very comfortable bed, very quiet at night. Restaurant serves excellent dinner, great local beer in the evening. Breakfast is delicious with fresh rolls, great selection of all kinds of cold cuts. Very friendly staff.

A minor inconvenience - there is no elevator. The parking area is behind the hotel and it is not very easy to find your way to the hotel entrance if you arrive in the evening. Not suitable for vegans.

A very cosy old house in the middle of a beautiful old village, very friendly staff, excellent service, lovely setting, big rooms with all necessary facilities!

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We all got over the language barrier pretty quickly.

Nice building in the center of Dannenberg. The bathroom and the room were very spacious and everything was clean. There is also a restaurant in the building. Overall, the accommodation was not bad and for one night very sufficient, but considering the price, I can't rate it better.

The accommodation was problematic: no one knew about us despite the confirmed reservation, but it was resolved after a few phone calls and we got the room. Bicycle parking: in the unlocked garage behind the hotel, which serves as a storage room. Breakfast very poor (only the most ordinary cheese and salami, one glass of juice, a little eggs, even greasy). There is a restaurant downstairs in the building, we went for dinner. From my point of view, the most expensive restaurant we visited in Germany and the quality of the food does not match the price. There was no shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom, we received few towels (two were missing). The sheets stank of mustiness.

It is located in an old building, giving you a travel to the past feeling. The restaurant offers some traditional german food and the schnitzel was really good.

The mattresses are made of cheap, soft sponge. Poorest breakfast we had in years of traveling. At 162€ per night you would expect a more generous meal.

great location and comfortable and clean room

I asked to have my boarding pass printed as I had at short notice arrived for a family death ad they would not, even though the printer was right there at reception. I also booked for three nights but mentioned at check in that most likely I will stay for only one or two nights. Sadly my grandmother passed away on the first night so I did not require the other two nights. I was not offered any compensation. I then had to leave at 6 am the next morning and was not offered any breakfast or coffee even thou that was included in my rate and I only stayed 1 of the three nights I paid for. Very disappointing! After check in I went down to go out and eat something ( I wasnt offered to dine at the hotel) and another guest arrived which the receptionist was trying to check into the room I have already been given. I mentioned to her and the guest that I am already staying in that room and they moved the guest. Shame, as the hotel is actually really nice, but the staff is terrible.
