Great stay for one night. The staff was so kind. Reception id open until 23.00 which was not standard for the neighbourhood. Definitely value for money. Car park entrance is from the main road, free parking was helpful. Staff is very polite and smiling, not that you see in every hotel in Germany :)

No elevators if you have heavy luggage. But staff would be happy to help. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room looking to the garden.

Checking out early the only issue Was to get rid of the keys- no Concierge, reception closed, no letter box. We just left it in the room.

That they didn't have a 4- bed room anymore, but this was a late booking so not their Faultier. Also card payment is only possible from 20 Eur up.

This hotel is a lot nicer than it looks from outside. I arrived in mid-afternoon to find the hotel closed up and looking a bit depressing - it's on a fairly busy street opposite Emmerich station. Not a beautiful neighbourhood. So I took a walk around the town (nice by the river, but not a beautiful place otherwise) and wasn't expecting much of the hotel when I came back. It was a very pleasant surprise to walk into a nice, warm, well-decorated dining room with a lot of happy-looking people eating meals, be welcomed by the very nice owner, and go up to a warm, clean room. After that it was an easy decision to eat in the hotel. The food was really good solid German food with lots of Croatian options, with very friendly service. All the customers seemed to be happy, which was nice. I had a good night's sleep, got up and had a nice buffet breakfast in the hotel dining room.

The mattress was a little bit soft, but some people will like it. The WiFi signal was quite weak at the far end of the room.

Shower too small, no air conditioning or ventilator in room (it was very hot when we were and without A/C or a fan it was impossible to sleep).

Nice place in a very convenient location for our biking trip. Has a good restaurant and beer garden on site. Staff was great, spoke English, and generously stored our bicycles for safe keeping. Was also able to get a triple room. Would definitely return.

Very friendly staff and relaxed setting. Good internet, secure bicycle parking. Strongly recommend for cycle tourists!!

Very nice stay and a great location just down the street from the train station. Very nice Beer Garden and the restaurant was excellent as well. The morning breakfast was very nice and the owners were very friendly.
