Everything was great and extremely convenient for the location, from free parking, to a very large variety breakfast, offering all sorts of delicious choices, for all tastes. In addition, enjoying you meal while sipping on your morning coffee view a garden view and listening to the birds singing, what else ? We had a comfortable room and direct passage to very nice, clean and modern thermal baths, that we enjoyed all our stays. My husband and I were in a high need of a relaxing long-weekend and this hotel met all our expectations. Not to forget about the nice staff (who by the way speaks very good English) and the very friendly night barman (I’m sorry I didn’t get your name) who made sure we were well served and enjoyed an evening drink in the coziness of the place. Tip: if you’re a beer lover, make sure to order a Freiburger beer (which is a local beer that’s very tasty).

The room we got to book didn’t have A/C on and the nights (even in the Black Forest) tended to get a bit hot for a comfortable sleep. However, the hotel staff made sure they found a solution for that as well and placed an electric fan to cool down during the night.

No air con in the rooms meant it was absolutely boiling in there. Opening the windows only helped a little. Given this, probably slightly overpriced.

I was delighted with my stay this time. I think it is excellent that the Therme (pool) price is now included in the room price. I also appreciated the possibility of using the big gym/therapy room. The latter is a bit overheated as is the pool, but this is understandable due to their primary use (therapy, relaxation). I was always happy with the rooms also during my stays in the past. Very good service at the bar the evening I ate there.

Just be aware that the water in the pool is very warm (for lane swimming) as is the big exercise room/ gym - but that is understandable (see above). Thus, for cardio exercise, I recommend a bike tour or a run/walk in the woods around the hotel.

Room was very hot even with fan provided. Some items on restaurant menu a little overpriced / not enough options for lesser budgets. Mandated nudity in saunas not explained at outset by reception and no English signs in the sauna area, so not clear until member of staff beckoned us out of sauna room and asked us to leave ! Slightly embarrassing.

Tasty breakfast except coffee - the maschine was not up to care for so many people and had to be filled with something or other all the time (I was told that it was a substitute), room with great terrace and wonderful ways for walking around the house, short distance to Freiburg, I liked the gym very much, and the closeness to the Therme.

The shower was even, and something was not built in the right way, so the whole room was flooded after one of us took a shower. Also the bathroom had a glass door, which we found inconvenient.

Staff was excellent high quality hotel and rooms excellent breakfast and super clean and easy parking

The rooms don't have air conditioning they have a portable fan , it gets hot at night and the terrace is not very private the next room is very close and able to see your room once they are at the terrace. The entrance to the dorint thermal baths is with fee and not included in the stay

A lovely relaxing place to stay with plenty of trees and walking trails in the area. The huge terrace is a delight for a drink, lunch or dinner.

The hotel is quite close to the highway so there is a bit of traffic noise. Though the many trees and birds in the area helped to make up for that. And it is quite a ways outside Freiburg, so if you prefer staying in town, this probably isn't for you.

Very calm and quiet surrounding. The rooms was very quiet also. The spa is above and beyond. Very good gym. Great place to relax, come to peace and exercise.

Check in took quite a while. On arrival there where a few hair on my bedsheets and pillow case.
