Location by the river Rhur is very nice, you can go for a walk and enjoy the scenery. Rooms are modern, nice and spacious, everything is clean. Breakfast is served from 6am, which is great if you have an early check-out. A lot of food to chose from. Receptionists are very friendly and staff in restaurant as well.

Parking lot is busy in the evening, you have to park your car outside (parking is availiable, but it's from the store, so you only have 1h of allowance - but during the night is free). Considering the price guest should receive at least one bottle of water per day in the room, everything is payable.

Breakfast was very good with a lot of choices. The evening dinner was good and service was good. The outdoor beer garden was nice and prices reasonable. The walk path along the river was beautiful. Parking was a reasonable price.

There was a very small bottle of water on the table with two glasses, which I assumed was complimentary like in most 4 star hotels. Instead, when asked if I took anything from the minibar, I said no, just the free bottle of water on the table. The receptionist said that was not free and was considered a minibar item and charged me for it (I couldn't read the German notification with the water). I didn't know, or I would not have drunk it since I had my own water. I was surprised a 4 star hotel would be so stingy for large expensive room with a balcony. It was not the amount that bothered me, but the principle.

The location and surrounding area was beautiful. The activities nearby included mini golf, beer garden, river walk, and boat ride were just some of things you could enjoy. The breakfast had all that you could hope for and reasonably priced. The bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing. Parking outside was only 4 euro a day and pretty secure. Garage parking would have been 8 euro a day.

The expresso was not from real Italian espresso style roast and did not taste very good. Just get real Italian roast beans to roast and that would solve the problem. Other than that there are no complaints.

Beautiful location along the Ruhr River with views. wonderful grounds with a bier garten, lawns with lots of tables and chairs, mini-golf and a small Children’s playground. Restaurant with garden view dining, room with balcony and river views.

Spacious room, spacious bathroom. Enough car spots, small library, you can go for a walk along the waterside. Exceptional breakfast, with everything you want and more

At night there was a disturbing noise in the background, probably coming from a technical room. Certainly not the ventilation of the bathroom. It's in the background and easy to ignore if you're tired enough

Beautiful river view and wonderful to wake up with the birds singing in the morning. Very clean spaces and good breakfast.

We have asked several times to get the sauna warm, without success. Pity as this was one of the reasons we have chosen this hotel.

local surroundings are among the nicest for a few square miles...

Two weddings (well past midnight) and a hotel graden kiosk (until midnight) were sources of noise. Kiosk noise (music, bottles) continued past their closure time. Music was stopped after a call to reception - but that call shouldn't have been necessary.

As a motorcycle traveler I really appreciated the underground garage (costs a bit extra, but is worth it) - I could unpack and the pack back up in the shade and my I knew my bike would be safe. The room was spacious, very clean, comfortable and had all the needed amenities. Had a great rest on my travels.

Breakfast had a good choice. The room was excellent with a wonderful view towards the river, the bridge and the woodland. The room was bright and with plenty of space. The location is excellent and was convenient for us.

We were very happy with our stay.
