The balance between price and quality was exceptional. Our room offered a breathtaking view of the vibrant square by the river, with charming sights of the church and red house. The spacious room and bathroom, complete with a relaxing bath, provided a touch of luxury. Despite the proximity to a nearby waterfall, the well-insulated windows ensured minimal disturbance. Additionally, we had the fortune of being there during a delightful music evening, which we could enjoy from the comfort of our room. The breakfast was delightful and perfectly complemented the overall experience.

During our stay, there was a minor hiccup regarding a dinner reservation due to a miscommunication. It turned out they don't accept reservations for outdoor seating, something we weren't aware of. However, the hardworking staff resolved the situation in a positive manner.

This perfectly located, historical hotel was just what we were looking for for a few nights away. Our comfort room was large, clean, and the bathroom had great, old-fashioned tiles. The breakfast was good and we were able to have dinner in the restaurant. Our room looked out over the little river and the church. I didn’t find the church bells ringing at 6 am too bothersome.

Considering the fact that it is a historic building, the inside was very “new” and rooms were comfortable. The location was also excellent, in the middle of the old town, close to shops and restaurants although due to covid many were closed during the week. The staff were super friendly and flexible. The continental breakfast was served in a different cafe/bakery around the corner (due to Covid) and the service and choices were also good. You just had to ask for what you wanted in addition to the traditional bread basket.

at the time we stayed the road just in front was being redone which made our lunch at the hotel’s restaurant quite noisy and it was a bit difficult to get to the hotel. Another small comment is the TV in the room. The way it is positioned, is not possible to watch it from the bed but with such a beautiful city outside who would spend much time watching TV?

Location was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. If you bring a motorcycle, ask at the front desk where to park it :) they have the perfect spot for them.

Can only really complain about the shampoo/soap but that’s always tough to be happy about in hotels. I’d recommend both staff and guests to be more specific about reservation times for the restaurant, as it seems the language/cultural barrier can play tricks on both parties.

The location of the hotel is in the most landmark views surounded by the beautiful stream inbthe middle of the city.

I thought the water bottle was included in the price but it was not. Also the drink was not include in the book together with dinner. They should anounced before to know. We did not know and we already check out. They should put normal water insted of bubble water bottle or both in the room. The rest was perfect.

The room was great! Clean and well provided for. Breakfast was very good. The location is amazing. The only downside -but this no fault of the hotel or it's staff - is that after 9pm the whole town was dead. But that was because it was a bit off season so during the day you had lots of people coming in. But after dinner they'll go home. You do not open a bar for perhaps 20 guests. That is understandable.

The staff was helpful particularly as one had to get parking tickets for the large car parking lots from the Tourist Office to which we.were given clear directions. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The bathroom connected to the bedroom was super clean and bright.

Breakfast was poor. The attic bedroom ceiling was very low.

The location was great. We could at the same time walk around the old town but also escape to the forest. Also pets are allowed.

There is not always someone at the reception desk so we had to search for. Also it was not clear that the main hotel door would be closed early (we did not know how to enter a bit after 21.00). Be aware that there is no lift.

Absolutely wonderful location, right in the heart of Monschau. Not that easy to find as some of the narrow lanes were blocked due to roadworks, but definable worth the slight confusion! Very friendly staff who made sure we knew how to get in, although we arrived later than check in allowed, due to delays in travelling there. Comfy beds, clean rooms. Good breakfast. Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning.

Some staff need to realise that even though you can't speak the language, body language says a lot!! No tea or coffee in room although water offered and struggled to get just coffee in restaurant downstairs
