This was only emergency stay for my husband when his car broke down on the way to Slovakia and was the closest accommodation he was able to reach by foot. I would like to thank receptionist to help my husband contacting the repair shop due to his lack of German language knowledge even though it ended up them being scammers unwilling to help him, but that is another story that has nothing to do with this hotel. Breakfast was very presentable and of good taste.

we appreciated the location, ability to walk to everything we wanted to see, including Schloss Montebaur & the outlet stores. Nice to be near a variety of restaurants. A very relaxing area to stay.

we found the floor of the shower stall a bit slippery. we were sad to find the restaurant closed early on Sunday, & closed on Monday. We heard good reports on the food- but didn't get a chance to sample it. there are lots of stairs, not an issue for us but could be for some.

Location was perfect as plenty on your doorstep which was a pleasant surprise for our last minute overnight stop.

We were lucky enough to be allowed to park in one of the 4 spaces round the back of the hotel, but the understanding is that usually you need to park a fair walk away. We had our dog with us and a lot of luggage that couldn’t be stored in the car overnight so this would have been a nightmare if we hadn’t been so lucky.

Excellent centrally located hotel in a pleasant shopping street / entertainment district with beautiful half-timbered facade. Free parking is a little further away, found after some searching thanks to a friendly and helpful desk hostess. Old hotel, somewhat dated (creaking floor, sloping walls, many stairs) but spacious, clean room. Extensive and excellent breakfast. Close to the motorway exit, ideal as a stopover.

All was good, place is charming and good equipped. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Free parking option reserved for the hotel in a 3 min walk.

We were arriving at night, and the instructions given on how to find the room (in another building that was not labeled) were not easy to follow after a long trip in the dark. Simple map would be a great help. No remarks other than that, we totally enjoyed the stay.

Good Location, Friendly staff, Good breakfast, Clean rooms with good bathrooms (seemed fairly new in both rooms). Would recomend based on location and value for money.

Nothing bad to report, though do not expect a lot more than basic good clean rooms with modern bathrooms as this is an old building with fairly basic rooms. Lighting could have been better in one of the rooms we staid in.... but other than that all good :-)

The location was excellent, close to the highway and with restaurants and bars in walking distance. The hotel is in a beautiful characteristic building. Good breakfast. Note that the parking is not immediately adjacent to the property, we had a small overnight bag to take with us and left the larger luggage in the car.

The pillows were too thick.

Room was quiet, well heated and very comfortable bed, good bathroom/shower. Breakfast was very good as well. Wish I'd upgraded from a single room. Only stayed for two nights on business but will use the hotel again, hopefully everything will be open.

No decent chair in the room for sitting and reading. Be warned off season the bar and restaurant are not open on Sunday and Monday nights, so you have to eat out, but most restaurants seem be closed on a Monday night..... I was in Room 110, it would have been good to be warned about the two big steps down into the room right at the door, or at least have a sign on the door to warn you, as the room lights are off when you open the door you've no idea the steps are there.

Property was in a lovely location, close to the motorway but far enough away to see what a stunning town can offer. The property has a lovely entrance and the room was basic but clean and proved d everything that was needed.

The ‘free parking’ location could have been advertised a bit better. We couldn’t find the location so needed up parking elsewhere where

The hotel is in a really nice pedestrial street that is one of the main streets of Montabaur. The entrance of our room was in a side street but was perfect since we were travelling with kids. It was very quiet. Montabaur is a nice place and is very convenient if you wanna visit Koblenz. Only 20min away by car. We booked a room for 2 people+baby and there were actually two rooms: one quite big with a small kitchen and a sofa converted into a bed, and the bedroom with the bed and the bathroom. Everything was clean. The bed and sofa were confortable. Breakfast was good, one could choose what to have.

It would have been nice to have dishes and cutlery in the room from the beginning but if you wanna use them you could always ask in the recepcion.
