Room was quiet, well heated and very comfortable bed, good bathroom/shower. Breakfast was very good as well. Wish I'd upgraded from a single room. Only stayed for two nights on business but will use the hotel again, hopefully everything will be open.

No decent chair in the room for sitting and reading. Be warned off season the bar and restaurant are not open on Sunday and Monday nights, so you have to eat out, but most restaurants seem be closed on a Monday night..... I was in Room 110, it would have been good to be warned about the two big steps down into the room right at the door, or at least have a sign on the door to warn you, as the room lights are off when you open the door you've no idea the steps are there.

The hotel is in a really nice pedestrial street that is one of the main streets of Montabaur. The entrance of our room was in a side street but was perfect since we were travelling with kids. It was very quiet. Montabaur is a nice place and is very convenient if you wanna visit Koblenz. Only 20min away by car. We booked a room for 2 people+baby and there were actually two rooms: one quite big with a small kitchen and a sofa converted into a bed, and the bedroom with the bed and the bathroom. Everything was clean. The bed and sofa were confortable. Breakfast was good, one could choose what to have.

It would have been nice to have dishes and cutlery in the room from the beginning but if you wanna use them you could always ask in the recepcion.

Nice village, cute old centre, great hotel with personal touch... not the average shoebox hotel! Building from 1673, imagine all the history these walls have witnessed... Outstanding diner - fairly priced in a relaxed covered and secluded outdoor, which is a real bonus after a long day work. Great breakfast. Just few minutes from the highway. The hotel has annex parking which is small, but 2 minutes walk there is another huge parking from the hotel. Definitely great value for money. All with all: just a nice treat to stay here for a (business) trip...

Nothing wrong, but the hotel is in a nice historic building. It would be great if the rooms would reveal a bit more of this nostalgy ...

The hotel is right in the centre of a very pretty town The food was good and The ambiance was nice. Room was clean. Staff were helpful.

No aircon. No lift, and we were on 2nd floor with heavy bags. The hotel is on a pedestrian street, and sat nav led us down a v. narrow street to the rear of the hotel. The car parking is free but is 5 minutes walk away. If you want to load your luggage directly into the car from the front of hotel get there before 11 AM. Small gripe.

The room we booked was huge and had a window that opened out to the picturesque main street below. When you opened up the bathroom window as well, the airflow was really nice. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful as well. Overall, it was a great stay.

Last minute booking due to traffic trouble in Germany. A nice little gem of a place, glad we did! Tasty food at the restaurant, and great service. Room was super comfy and great for a small family. A worthwhile diversion for an overnight transit through Germany.

Parking was impossible at the hotel, but given it's in an old town, not a surprise. We parked a 5-10 minute walk away for a very small cost.

Great location, friendly staff and a very good restaurant

The rooms were small, not a big problem really but it was a bit tight. It's an old building so my assumption is that the rooms are all different and perhaps we should have checked before arrival to get the best room possible. Overall ok though for one night.

Great location in the beautiful city center of Montabaur. Spacy room (at least mine was quite large). Excellent breakfast plus a restaurant which serves nice variety of meals.

Don't get me wrong but I really didn't like those narrow stairs to get to my room. Other than that hard to point other important disadvantage of the hotel.

Really beautiful location in an old building. The room was spacious and bathroom comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. Also having a drink outside on the terrace was a treat. And very clean!

We asked for Oropax because we read in some reviews there would be noise. There was none (or might have been the Oropax 😆) Third bed (sofa bed) a bit hard.

Very nice and comfy rooms. Old building in old city center, but the room was modern and fully equipped. The restaurant for dinner was exceptional! And the staff is super friendly!
