Nice old manor style house in lovely order with nice garden. We stayed in the annex which is a modern building. Rooms were good size with good facilities. The locality is quiet with one local bar. We took the evening meal for E25 which included a free 1hr bar.

We enjoyed an Easter gateway, and the stay was great for a short trip. The hotel is in a great location to explore surrounding villages by car/train/walking. The breakfast was good (typical German buffet) and the sauna was a great addition. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

The room was basic but sufficient. The beds and linen could be more comfortable.

Getting there is a bit of a hassle with road works blocking the only way in. Luckily the staff guided us via a "locals only" route.

Ample breakfast with possibility to sit outisde on the upper balcony terrace; room was large and very quiet - with a full bathtub - very welcome

Internet signal was weak and unreliable from the HS hotel part; service personnel were not always available at reception causing delays in check in/out

Was disappointed with the evening meal. The goulash was awful. I had the same meal in another hotel of the same chain and it was delicious.

The carpets in our room needs cleaning!

After a long drive we were looking forward to a good meal. €19 for the buffet was not a bad price. Parking was on-site and to the rear of the new build. Room was fine but no wifi at all. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast arrangements were --> choose between 07:45 and 08:45, or 09:00 - 10:00. Food was OK. Views from the balcony were nice.

Sauna is a great feature!

On arrival our booked room was not available nor was our booking found in their system. As a result instead of spending a night in the castle we got a room in a soviet style concrete side building. Average service and breakfast were quite good but reservation handling was poor.

Travelling with a dog, access was easy and lots of green areas around for walks, internet working well. Staff at reception was friendly, but had to wait for 20 min for them to show up, despite ringing the bell. Pretty little village, nice surroundings.

Room was very hot without AC, no window in the bathroom with just moderate light, located in a separate apartment building next to the hotel. Room was dated, carpet worn, so not sure if old or new stains. Breakfast was simple, cheese and cold cuts right from the package (you could still see the packing marks). You have to book a slot for breakfast, and one would assume the breakfast is ready by then, but we had to wait for eggs for about 30 mins, and the girls in the kitchen didn't really seem to bother when people asked about eggs. Coffee machine was either broken or ran out of coffee beans, so just hot water with a hint of coffee flavour.
