Best Western Plus Hotel Am Schlossberg

The rooms were very clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Parking was excellent and under cover and easily accessible. The reception staff was very helpful and went out of his way to book us a restaurant nearby.

There was no bar or restaurant which was very disappointing as we had travelled quite far a d it would have been nice to have come down after getting cleaned up to be able to have a drink and a meal, it did state that it had these facilities otherwise to be honest we would have chosen another hotel! However the guy on reception managed to book us restaurant nearby.

We stayed here while doing a bicycle tour on the Neckartalradweg. Although it's mainly a business hotel, it is bike friendly and has a securely locked bike storage area in the parking garage. The hotel is easily accessed from the bike route via bike lanes on the nearby streets. Our three-person room was large and nicely appointed, and the air conditioning was welcome at the end of a hot day of bicycling. The front desk staff was friendly and compentent, checking us in quickly and answering our local-area questions. Breakfast is very expensive (20 euro/person I think), so we skipped it. The main part of town is a short walk from the hotel. For dinner we ate at Schlachthof Bräu, which is highly recommended. Good food and a nice biergarten area (also good inside seating).

It was as we expected. Generic business hotel, but well executed. The price was a bit high considering that breakfast was not included.

The room was spacious, and had water and gummy treats for us on the day of arrival.

The AC kept shutting off and it the room was much too warm! The tablet said to call the desk if the AC wasn't coming on and I called at least 4 different times -- one time I was even told that it was an automatic and he could do nothing about it. The pool in the hotel was ice cold, and was a bit tricky to find.

Staff was very attentive to the COVID rules when other guests weren't wearing masks. Breakfast was very good but the price is a bit high but I think this is the norm for hotel breakfast buffets. They even had a dog goody bag! Nice extra touch!!

We didn't want to eat (buffet) at the hotel, but the receptionist didn't seem to know where we could go in the area. Little did we know that just a few meters from the hotel, we could have eaten Asian or Döner. At least now we know for our next visit.

We stayed for one night on our way home, the hotel was ideal for this. It’s close to the motorway but in quite a nice town. Nice modern room with very comfortable beds. The pool was refreshing. The breakfast was brilliant!

Clean, quiet, spacious room. Bathroom was excellent with lighting and mirror arrangements perfect for shaving! Shower was excellent and perfectly behaved for power and temperature. Large room window with good options for slant or fully opening with garden views. BBC news channel in English available on the room TV too.

The room was clean, the bar is nice although not the easiest to find. The breakfast had a good selection of fresh fruit and a heated buffet. Staff were pleasant. Overall a good stay.

Very nice location close to restaurants and the river. Secure car park. Big clean rooms. The fish pond in the lobby was a lot of fun.

A bit old. No carpet but only hard floors that made a thumbing sound when walking and an awful screaking sound when the overhead rooms were cleaned in the morning.

The heating is bit tricky. Not easy to control the room temperature. (Could not raise the room temperature when it gets cold at night)

This was the second time we stayed in this hotel on our way south. Good place to stay in a nice village.
