Everything was really great - the host, the room, the restaurant (both: dinner & breakfast), location, etc. We arrived by car, with a dog and a baby. Managed to check-in without problems, were greeted by the welcoming owner in the restaurant, all nice and easy.

Unfortunately, there was one big problem for us. We chose this hotel, as it offered the baby crib - we asked for it during the booking process. Till the arrival, we were not informed that the hotel had only one crib, and it was not reserved for us. It was given to another family, who checked-in earlier than us. We ended up sleeping in one bed with our 1.5 year old daughter, who is not used to that - meaning I managed to sleep around 2-3h tops. As we were travelling another full day, this become a bit of a problem for me as a second driver.

We arrived very late, why we used a machine for our check-in, which I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was! The room was nice and clean. Spacious! The bed was comfortable and I'm usually really picky when it comes to my bed-comfort. For breakfast we were greeted by the manager or owner I believe. He was so lovely and took our breakfast order as we arrived. We drive an electric car and could charge during the night and pay for at checkout, which was really helpful. Overall a very pleasant stay and much recommended!

There wasn't really anything other than our toilet, which spilled a tiny bit of water when flushing. No biggie really.

Check-in was automated, so we arrived really late yet we got in. Breakfast was really enjoyable, filling and energetic. Smiles all around us. Clean and decent for the price.

Dear reader, please be advised that this is an exceptional case with us arriving at 11.30pm: Dear stuff: When expecting arrivals really late to the point that they have to use the automated check-in, and the weather is misty, please close the windows to not let the mist in. We do understand that this was a requirement for the room air to feel fresh. But it happened that we arrived really late and the room was mist inside. That comment is made with all the good intentions for the facility to improve their services, We loved our stay!

The host was super nice, the breakfast was excellent (very very nice omelet and cake). The hotel in general looks quite new, all the equipment in the room was convenient. 24h self check-in was also useful. We were travelling with children and booked a family double room. It was great, it had 2 connected rooms, additionally a seating area, the room was nicely decorated and had plenty of space.

We arrived very late at night and it was a bit difficult to park (the parking was full). All the rest was very good, nothing to complain about.

The room was reasonable, with everything you would expect. Breakfast was good with a nice selection to accommodate most people. The location is quiet and is just out of the town.

Parking is full if you come late, but the owner allows for extra parking to the side of the motel after moving his cars. Our room was a little cool as it was in the basement, which isn't specified when you book the room.

The location was very quiet. The breakfast was good quality and quite tasty. Staff at breakfast nice and attentive.

It would be good if Reception was maned until at least 23:00 in case of a guest needing assistance or some answers. Also the room, although it was clean, is in need of refurbishment.

First of all the owner, who is as very nice and open person. He himself prepared us a delicious breakfast and a very good coffee. The room was very tidy and the beds were super comfortable. It is not very far from the highway so if you travel via Germany and want to really rest it will be a great choice. Thank you Adrian for a great morning!

The only thing I would add is some vegetables to the breakfast :-).

Calm area. Very modern self check-in terminal. Breakfast ok. Lucky we got the last parking. Otherwise I believe you need to park further away Cute decorations. 2 small water bottles included.

Personnel tried to come into the room in the morning without knocking on the door or asking if someone is inside. Very annoying. Self check-in terminal: sometimes the screen blocks or for example you think you finished and you click "finish". But actually it does "cancel" everything you did before. So the words used by the machine are not adapted (in German: beenden vs. abbrechen. Room was in the cellar: no view. And not good to open window or stores as everybody could walk in or look into. Power cut in the morning of about 1 hour. We couldn't really open the window stores for light as we were in basement and people could look in/walk by.

Very easy and convenient self-check in, you can arrive any time during the day. The hotel is very clean and well-maintained, decent breakfast. Family apartment was composed of two rooms, quite spacious and very comfortable

If you arrive quite late, most likely you will not get parking spot (only few parking spots belongs to the hotel) and will have to park around the nearby streets. There is no fridge in the room, at least for the family room it would be really useful.

This was my second stay at Ambiente while travelling to France and again, it was a perfect stay. I am definitely under the spell of the owner. He is so welcome, so kind and so caring about the guests (and the guests’ dogs!). We arrived late and were very hungry, he stayed longer at night and prepared for us a delicious dinner. It was a pleasure to return, I instantly felt at home. We will definitely come back next year.
