Victor's Residenz-Hotel Saarlouis

The rooftop Sauna with outside terrace is a perfect place to relax after work. Need to ask at reception before going there. You have a good view on the city and surroundings from the top of the building.

Rooms have old fashioned heavy keys (instead of key-card) and lights do not switch on and off automatically. Depending on guest discipline, this can cause waste of energy, leaving lights and television on when the room is not used. I also found the noise level from the other rooms and the aisle very high. Recommend to have ear plugs in your luggage.

This hotel was quite a pleasant surprise. A number of previous reviews that we read were not very positive and we were a bit cautious in booking but we were glad we did . The hotel is immediately off the bike trail and easily accessible. Reception was very easy and pleasant and the young lady who greeted us was very very pleasant , helpful and just a delight to speak with . Bike storage was in a large locked cage in the parking garage . Lift from parking garage to our really nice , clean and bright room (110) made it easy to move our bike panniers . Bathroom had toiletries , was very clean and quite large . Good room lighting with a large window in the room . On site restaurant had great food choices for dinner at a very reasonable price point . Breakfast was one of the best breakfasts that we have had in a hotel over our many years of bike adventures in Europe . Many food choices - both hot and cold . Will definitely stay here again if our bike trails lead us this way again .

Everything was great

Good location, few minutes from the highway. Very silent and well maintained apartment. May be bit pricey for the place but worth it. Breakfast was good but very limited options A grocery store (Aldi) just behind the hotel.

They charge extra for parking which was unexpected. Breakfast was bit expensive for the options they have. Apartment is outside of the main hotel and on the other side of the road, so need to cross for breakfast.

The receptionist was really nice, the check in was quick and easy. The room was exactly what I choice and everything was clean. The room was cozy and the bed really comfortable. We park in the garage where the hotel have an agreement and everything goes well. The location of the hotel is really close to the train station like 5 minutes walking and around 15 minutes walking to the downtown.

I didn't like the 2 separate blankets, but I think is normal in Germany.

Excellent female staff on reception with free sparkling wine and free cafe latte’s on arrival plus fresh milk on for our English tea

Everything was geared to occupying our small children especially the play area and real Westland helicopter not to mention the geese , ducks and chickens and of course the swimming pool too

The location is very convenient (very close to the train station, yet far enough where it is not too loud, and a 20-minute walk to the city center), the hotel clean, and the staff very friendly. The breakfast is amazing, as are the bar and restaurant open for dining in the evenings. It is the best hotel option around.

Everything was fine. Some of the rooms are maybe a bit small but they are serviceable. The price is a bit high but anything cheaper available around is far below this hotel in what they offer, so it is fine.

The hotel was above my expectations .The room was spacious and bed was nery comfort. Reception staff were very kind and helpful. I didn;t have breakfast or dinner at the hotel .

I had a room to the back-side and therefore was very quiet. The room is big enough and comfortable. Breakfast has everything needed and was more than enough.

I enjoyed the breakfast very much. good quality, enough variations and friendly staff.

I had come in from Portugal (for work) and with the Covid requirements, it was different. Everyone at the Hotel was totally amazing, trying to do whatever they could to make my stay as comfortable as possible, while staying in a room for 5 days. Once I received my negative test after 5 days, I was able to enjoy the property, the breakfast, etc.. They really went the extra mile and there are so many people that I wanted to thank. Definitely recommend this Hotel. The location, being that close to the train station is a huge plus. The Aldi is just outside the back entrance so if you need something, there is no issue!!

Nothing! - maybe nicer weather, but there is nothing anyone could have done better!!

My room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the breakfast buffet plentiful (at least at 7:00). Very friendly team from reception to restaurant. Walking distance from the train station. Quiet room even on the street side. For me, still one of the best hotels in Saarlouis.

No complains. Everything was fine.
