Arabella Alpenhotel am Spitzingsee

The dog-friendly lake in front of the hotel is amazing: clean and easy to reach. Most welcomed facility was the dog shower in the garage, our dogs loved it very much and the extra blankets and bowls for them in the room were the "cherry on top". Also we loved that the restaurant had option for family traveling with pets. There is a special room where one can dine with their dogs without disturbing others.

For a trip with two medium hight dogs, the room was a bit small, we didn't have much space to move but the room's balcony helped with that shortage.

The location is nice on the lake. The breakfast was really good.

When I arrived at the hotel they wanted to give me a lower room at same price and when I said why they offered to make a 20 euro discount from 300 euro claiming is booking fault. I was very dissapoined about the approach especially that I went there from Munich and it was only to sleep. When I said that I will solve it out with booking because I don`t find it fair the price suddenly they said they can give me an apartment.

- floor of walk-in shower was completely even without any incline, thus water was running out and whole bathroom floor got wet. - value for the money could be better

Perfect location for hikes and exploring. Anything you can think of is available at breakfast. Spa and pool very relaxing and mainly quiet. Great food and drinks available at the Bar and restaurants. Hotel lawn has easy access to the lake. All staff very polite and helpful especially the receptionists.

no parking was available onsite, check in wasn’t 100% smooth (long wait, key to room in seperate building didn’t work so we had to trek back and line up again to get it resolved) but overall a great stay

Great location, very friendly staff, superb wellness facilities and pleasant restaurant. Perfect for a weekend-break away from the city.

It is difficult to find something that could be improved. Only thing that comes to mind is maybe improving access to ski storage, which currently you can only reach from the underground garage - very good if you take the car to go to the slopes, but a bit inconvenient if not.

Booked the restaurant beside the hotel, but affiliated to the hotel. Atmosphere wasn’t great and neither was the food.

The staff deserves an extra grade how helpful they are. The location and private beach are crazy good. The rooms are above size. (they actually need a bigger TV since the room is so big). The first fill-up of the mini-bar is on the bill which is not a bad thing when you arrive from travelling. TIP: You can go grab a drink at the alm and carry it to the beach, you just have to do it by yourself.

Note, this was a visit during cvid rules. You have to wait to go into the restaurant. The Sunday breakfast was over-capacity. We had to wait for a spot inside since it was full. Next (work) day was much better. Room with garden view is a bit misleading.. you are directly above the restaurant balcony so you don't use the balcony as much since people downstairs can see you. The view is still into mountains and nice but not completely silent with balcony door open because of the same reason.

Excelent location! Everything looks new and modern, very comfortable rooms.

The restaurant at dinner had excellent food, but prices are a bit higher. So not something I didn’t like, just one observation about the property.

Wonderful location, cozy room with nice view on the lake. The only thing that one might want to pay attention to, is not to get rooms on the road side, since during the day the road seems to be quite busy for such a "secluded" place.
