Charming hotel in a charming town. The restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices. The breakfast is tasty and plentiful. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly and offered to help carry our suitcases. If going during the summer holiday period, I’d recommend booking the restaurant in advance, as it’s quite popular.

There are only ten parking spaces, so it’s best to book one in advance. Otherwise, you need to park by the river (2 to 5 minutes away). There are other hotels/restaurants near the river, so parking there can be tricky (you might need to go further along the river to find a spot). There is no lift, however, the staff offer to help carry your cases up. There is no air conditioning, but fans are provided. We did not find the room too warm.

Had an amazing stay, staff was so kind to us. The room was clean and tidy. It is very modern but with an old feel to it to match the theme of the hotel. Staff in both the hotel and the restaurant are very kind and the food was divine. Located in the centre of the village. The theme around knight Jorg really gives the hotel a nice vibe

The only thing i can think of is that our room ( facing the courtyard) was basicly next to the kitchen of the restaurant. For light sleepers this might be a problem. We didnt mind and loved the bustling sounds of the guys laughing and teasing.

The village is lovely and the hotel is centrally located . It is a very nice stop and an opportunity to walk around and try the local wine. The bedroom has been nicely decorated, and the bathroom is large and modern.

Parking at the hotel is limited and costs 9 euros. There is free parking about a 150m away, which is not far, but cobbled streets are not ideal for pulling suitcases.

Superb medieval village. Great restaurant in the hotel. Good breakfast. Spacious rooms with good beds. Not a lot of parking space at the hotel itself but several free parkings quite nearby.

Ventilator in toilet kept turning without use of the toilet which gave some annoying background noise. Pillows are very soft so an extra pillow could be handy.

few little points : =the parking was full when we arrived, and its not authorized to park in the main street, so will be good to advise your customers to prebook the parking place from the hotel,if needed, =the beds were very nice, but investment on new pillows is needed - We missed a water cooker in the room to be able to drink tea or coffee

We really liked everything especially so nice and helpful staff will do stay longer just for guests satisfaction.

We liked rooms little bit more before renovation because they were more in spirit of the village, but they nice also now. Could be a little more space in them.

Location, friendly service

There was no air-conditioning, with 31 degrees celcius this was a bit rough. The building is probsbly monumental so they can't have AC units, but that is just a guess.

The room was spacious enough, modern and very clean. Wifi signal was excellent. Breakfast was nice , the restaurant is also nice in the evenings. The tiny village and surrounding vineyards are lovely. I especially liked to walk around the city walls, where people have their vegetable gardens.

Parking at the hotel itself was pretty vague, who gets to park and who doesnt, anyway, Sommerhausen is surrounded by free parking outside the walls so after dropping off my luggage i put my car in P3 . The restaurant seemed a bit understaffed at times, because it took a while sometimes for servers to notice you (for seating and ordering)

Location excellent. Bathroom amazing as was the room. very clean and comfy. The receptionist stayed on late to ensure we checked in. Fab restaurant, good food choice for evening meal.

Excellent ample breakfast. Great location and a rustic ambiance. Friendly staff.

The double bed consisted of two singles that slid apart during sleeping. Just a minor detail, it was comfortable.
