At first, we were disappointed that we were given a studio uphill from the beautiful house pictured here, but soon found out that it was a new elegant and spacious room overlooking the lake with our own terrace. To offset the 5 minute downhill walk in the morning for the breakfast at the main house - prompt at 7 am, a pre-breakfast box was delivered! What a lovely gesture! The breakfast at the hotel was included in the price and was magnificent. Every inch of the breakfast and restaurant rooms is a master carpenter‘s delight. In our room was a book explaining the history of the marvellous Black Forest hotel’s 40 year (from gut out) rebuilt Hotel direct on the Titisee. It is a fascinating story and makes the Alemannenhof a unique and wonderful vacation experience.

Breakfast was excellent. Guest card and High Black Forest discount card was very helpful. Need to stay more than 2 days though. The staff was very accommodating. Even before breakfast the staff put a continental breakfast box in front of the apartment door every morning with fruit and croissants. Breakfast was in the main building. We had an apartment on the hill. Even though it is mentioned that the apartments are away from the main hotel building, what surprised us how far and a steep climb was necessary to reach the apartments. Not a problem for fitness minded people though. Great parking space in front of the apartment. And for those that don’t enjoy hiking steep slopes after breakfast one can drive down to the main hotel building for breakfast. That building also has regular hotel rooms.

Not a huge problem but the apartment has the living area on the top and the bedroom and bathroom down stairs. Good to know.

We took 3 rooms with breakfast and dinner. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, with good view to the lake. The breakfasts had wide variety of foods (meats, cheese, breads, fruit, yogurt, fish, etc.) The dinners were phenomenal! Every evening the menu changed, and everything we tasted was delicious. The dinners are a 4-course meals, and during our stay we got to taste the beef steak, rabbit leg and chicken breast for the main course. In addition there was a lot of parking space and a sauna that was perfect for the cold days. The receptionist helped us with receiving the Black Forest Card. This card gave us 20% discount on tickets to the nearby water park (Badeparadise) and several free attractions (such as a boat tour on the lake). On our last day we needed to leave before the opening of the dining room, so the hotel staff organized us bags with fruit, water, pastries and sandwiches!

The showers inside the rooms are designed weirdly - there is a glass wall facing to the whole room with a thin transparent curtain on the outer side for "privacy" - not optimal for staying with a parent or sibling. The shower also lacked a door, so the floors would get wet. The hotel's pool was too cold (note that we tried it only once during the evening).

We got a separate appartment a few meters away from the main hotel which was very nice for longer term stays as it had a small kitchen and full patio, though as we were just staying one night a room in the hotel itself would have been better. Private on site parking was a great bonus as we were traveling by motorcycle. We had dinner (famous blackforest forelle) and breakfast on the lovely terasse, both of which were delicious.

Everything was exceptional. Staff 5* food 5* room 5* location 5* not fully occupied which lets you enjoy your peace and quality time in the hotel. Location is great also to the city center. Great walk tour is a must alongside the Titisee lake.

The apartment could be a little bit closer to the main building as we were with a baby and climbing on the hills was not easy with a stroller. But we handled it by car most of the times instead.

The view is incredible, the building looks like a movie location and it is close to the lake, even though you do not have access to it directly. The pool had a maintenance issue, I said during the check in that this would impact my stay and they gave me a voucher that we really enjoyed to compensate. Very nice staff. And the breakfast was very good as well.

I believe the wellness area could be better, but I guess maybe that is not their main focus.

3rd visit in 3 years and same (only) issue - on arrival the staff at reception insist there is no room for you as a resident in the restaurant for dinner because it is fully booked and when pushed are insistent (rude?) about there being absolutely no way they can squeeze you in........ 3 hours later a quick visit to the restaurant whilst dinner is being served (and every table outside was full, every table inside was empty!) and a quick chat with the head waiter and, amazingly, they offer you at table at 8pm.... absolutely no need to upset guests on check in like that when there is obviously capacity and time for additional dining slots

A very cosy hotel directly on the lake. The rooms are modern, spacious and comfortable while keeping with the traditional style. Breakfast was good.

The prices in the restaurant for al a carte were extreme. At breakfast, any warm dishes aka eggs, had to be ordered. Even just hot water for a tea had to be ordered which meant there was a wait.

great stay at Alemannenhof ! we stayed there 3 nights at one big and one small studios. both are located up in the hill. both rooms are spacious and have a stunning view. Since the location of the studios is bit away from the main hotel, a small appetizer have brought to the studios in the morning. very attend. the restaurant serves very nice food in the evening. the hotel has a small private stone- beach.

Very clean facilities. I regularly stay in hotels all around the world and Alemannenhof understands it’s business. Also I want to point out the cuisine which is doing a superb job. Our dinner experience was simply brilliant. Thank you. We will be back and visit again.
