A great little hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is well linked to public transport, including the cheap and easy to use metro. But as the hotel is situated close to all the main attractions we enjoyed walking, soaking up the environment. The location is excellent, for example the Acropolis and museum is an easy 15 minute walk. Other historic sites are reasonablly close by. The immediate local area feels safe with many great restaurants, cafes and bakeries, to suit all appetites and there are many handy small grocery and gift shops. A friendly, welcoming, safe hotel in a friendly welcoming area.

The hotel's reception staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable with very good air-conditioning which kept us cool in the heatwave that was going on while we were there, and a useful fridge. The location is excellent as a base to explore Athens, with a metro stop very close by to get to more distant parts of the city. Also in a lovely, quiet location.

We only went up to the breakfast room once and it was unclear what to do. We didn't know whether to just sit down or wait to be seated. We didn't see any staff to advise, other than a lady who passed us without speaking, and we left and went to a local bakery instead - probably just bad timing on our part. As with most hotels there was only one small pillow per bed but we improvised by using blankets under the pillows to make it more comfortable.

Art Gallery Hotel was the perfect hotel for my stay in Athens. The hotel is in a great central location with easy walking distance to the Acropolis and many nice shops, restaurants and bars. The street feels safe and I had a nice balcony overlooking the leafy street. The staff were so friendly and provided plenty of helpful recommendations on transport and great places to eat/drink. The room was very big, it was spotless when I arrived, and the air conditioning worked well in the middle of August!

Its only 7mins walk to acropolis. Staff are very helpful. Alex messaged us a day before that there will be taxi strike the day we arrive and send us different option how to get in the hotel which we really appreciate.. They provide towel and toiletries.

Hotel is quite old. Bed is not that comfy, they only offer 2 very thin pillows. They charged 9€ for breakfast , and they only serve few options. Only 1 person with luggage for in the elevator.

Great location in a vibrant area of the city, but on a relatively quiet street. Lots of great restaurants and shops nearby, and a short walk to the Acropolis. Clean room with air condition, helpful in the heat of Athens. It was nice to see a communal bookshelf where you could leave a book you've finished and take a new one on your travels.

Hallways smelled a little bit smokey, but the room didn't smell like smoke at all, thankfully.

The location is great, the street is cute, near the Acropolis and it feels safe. The staff was really helpful and nice. We had a late check-in and were flying late the last day and they made our lives really easy. They have a lounge on the last floor with a view of the Acropolis.

If we had to say anything, we would say that the room is a bit old, but comfortable.

Location. Friendly and helpful staff. Cleanliness of the room. The Aircon was amazing, we were not prepared foe the humidity. Many food options near by we were spoilt for choice.

The shower didn't have a shower head. The road can get noisy as well as other guest coming in late at night.

This was the second time we had stayed at the Art Gallery. After a week in the Kalamata area we came back to Athens for one night to catch our flight back to London. We had two twin rooms which were both very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The rooms were quiet too. The staff are amazing! They speak English better than many English people (especially the young lady who was behind the desk sometimes!)!! All were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble it seemed. In fact, the Greeks in general are the most welcoming and friendly of people. Great little pedestrian area just down the street for great food etc. Obviously one of the big draws around the hotel is its proximity to the Parthenon and the museum which take only a few minutes to walk to.

The "no paper in the toilet" thing is a bit annoying but is not something that the hotel itself has control over; it is apparently the old and undersized sewage pipes in old Athens.

We stayed again at the hotel because we liked it the first time we came to Athens. It’s small and cozy with friendly people at the reception. The hotel is well located and has everything we needed and for a good price.

The bathroom is ok but the shower had difficulties getting rid of the water, however I’m sure this is something that will be fixed soon.

The hotel is conveniently located close to many cafes and restaurants. It is also a quick 7 minute walk to Acropolis. The staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful. They are happy to assist you with any questions you may have and really go above and beyond! Would definitely recommend staying here.
