A great little hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is well linked to public transport, including the cheap and easy to use metro. But as the hotel is situated close to all the main attractions we enjoyed walking, soaking up the environment. The location is excellent, for example the Acropolis and museum is an easy 15 minute walk. Other historic sites are reasonablly close by. The immediate local area feels safe with many great restaurants, cafes and bakeries, to suit all appetites and there are many handy small grocery and gift shops. A friendly, welcoming, safe hotel in a friendly welcoming area.

The hotel's reception staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable with very good air-conditioning which kept us cool in the heatwave that was going on while we were there, and a useful fridge. The location is excellent as a base to explore Athens, with a metro stop very close by to get to more distant parts of the city. Also in a lovely, quiet location.

We only went up to the breakfast room once and it was unclear what to do. We didn't know whether to just sit down or wait to be seated. We didn't see any staff to advise, other than a lady who passed us without speaking, and we left and went to a local bakery instead - probably just bad timing on our part. As with most hotels there was only one small pillow per bed but we improvised by using blankets under the pillows to make it more comfortable.

The location is great, the street is cute, near the Acropolis and it feels safe. The staff was really helpful and nice. We had a late check-in and were flying late the last day and they made our lives really easy. They have a lounge on the last floor with a view of the Acropolis.

If we had to say anything, we would say that the room is a bit old, but comfortable.

This was the second time we had stayed at the Art Gallery. After a week in the Kalamata area we came back to Athens for one night to catch our flight back to London. We had two twin rooms which were both very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The rooms were quiet too. The staff are amazing! They speak English better than many English people (especially the young lady who was behind the desk sometimes!)!! All were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble it seemed. In fact, the Greeks in general are the most welcoming and friendly of people. Great little pedestrian area just down the street for great food etc. Obviously one of the big draws around the hotel is its proximity to the Parthenon and the museum which take only a few minutes to walk to.

The "no paper in the toilet" thing is a bit annoying but is not something that the hotel itself has control over; it is apparently the old and undersized sewage pipes in old Athens.

We stayed again at the hotel because we liked it the first time we came to Athens. It’s small and cozy with friendly people at the reception. The hotel is well located and has everything we needed and for a good price.

The bathroom is ok but the shower had difficulties getting rid of the water, however I’m sure this is something that will be fixed soon.

Staff was friendly, helpful and provided much information. They provide decent breakfast for the price they charge. However, there are more choices within 100 meters on the street outside the hotel.

The connection to the internet was sporadic. Probably not the fault of the staff, but it was inconvenient. The street was quite noisy during the night.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights, on two different occasions. Staff was super friendly, helped us get taxi for early in the morning on both times, and explained everything that we needed. Room was comfy (the second one we got was bigger and better). Shower was ok, air was working well (which was good for the warm days we got in Athens). The location is perfect, super close to the Acropolis and full of nice restaurants around. There is also a nice terrace on top to enjoy if you want and you can see the Parthenon.

Nothing in particular, but the first room we stayed was very dark (because it was an inside room). Not a big deal, but good to keep in mind if you want a hotel to chill and enjoy the room, that was not ideal (the second room had a balcony and was better). The building is older (like most in Athens), so you pipes are a bit loud and you hear other rooms. Again, not a big deal. Overall the pros make this worth ;)

Fantastic location. Walking distance to acropolis & new museum. Very close to city metro trains. Pedestrian area with restaurants extremely close. View of acropolis from breakfast balcony. Staff all very warm and helpful.

Pillows were firm

The hotel is perfectly located, 5 minutes walk from Metro station Syngrou-Fix and within 10/15 minutes walking distance from Acropolis site. The district is pretty safe, no problem walking alone, even at night or early morning. A part from the Acropolis, everything could be visited easily by walking. Arriving and going from and to the Airport needs around 1 hour of commuting with Metro. Around the hotel, there are many restaurants, bars, and even supermarkets to buy food. In the room, there's a small fridge too. The staff was extremely friendly, always helpful to answer my questions, even adding extra advices. On the 4th floor, there is a big room with tables and a terrace which can be used by the guests. I stayed only two days, and I went upstair just twice, but it was a good possibility to enjoy "fresh" air from the top and socialize a bit with fellow travelers!

The shower in my room had no hook to hang the shower head.

The location is excellent - so close to the acropolis and such a fun area. The family room is big and it's nice how the bedrooms are separated by a door. The view from the 5th floor over the city is gorgeous.

The elevator is really dangerous and our children were afraid of it. The curtains (50% of the walls have windows) let in so much light which made us all wake up really early.
