This hotel was exceptional. It has been beautifully restored and is family owned and run. It is located just outside the walls of the old ‘castle’ and is a very short walk to the Main Street, eateries and the lake. Despite its central location it was very quiet. The rooms were comfortable with a small, well stocked fridge, ample space in the bathroom and was very clean. It was a nice touch to be greeted with a piece of baklava in the room when we arrived. Ioannina, we discovered, has many lovely pastry shops which specialise in baklava and you can find it in all shapes and sizes! Breakfast offered a range of foods including cereals, breads and hot offerings and showcased some of the local specialities such as yoghurts and the cheeses which the Epirus region is famous for, local pastries and cakes. The staff were friendly, informative and eager to ensure that guests had what they needed. Leading up to our stay, staff were prompt in responding to emails and answering questions. As we did not have a car, the hotel arranged for us to have a taxi take us on a couple of excursions and we saw some amazing sights in Ioannina and neighbouring villages. We also took up the offer of private transfers in the hotel’s Tesla (thank you Fillikos!). I had a very relaxing and rejuvenating facial treatment by the lovely Dimitra in the hotel’s spa. A big thank you to Dionysia and Maria who greeted us with a smile each morning and every time we walked in the door and who helped to make our stay a memorable one. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Ioannina.

The location of the hotel to the walled city was excellent and also very close to the vibrant nightlife of bars and restaurants. The rooms and all other guest areas were decorated to a high standard. Breakfast was exceptional. As well as a buffet-style abundance of everything you could ask for the staff were on hand to cook eggs any way you wished, either scrambled fried or an omelette with whatever filling we desired. The spa was value for money and we felt looked after our whole stay

We were not made aware that the hotel offered drinks on request during our stay. It would have been a good addition to having wine lists on display. However, our room fridge was well stocked with complementary drinks during our stay.

Amazing feeling inside, like stepping back into time but still in a lovely comfortable hotel with great beds.

The breakfast was extravagant but also not super tasty -- at least the ordered eggs I mean. Mine were burnt but still served to me. The spa facilities were nice but could use a sauna or at least a room to relax between hamam and jacuzzi. Both of which were nice, but too "wet" to do one after the other. masseuse / facialist was super nice and sweet, but definitely could use some more training. It felt like I was one of her first clients. Hoping things improve a bit on that front -- and I'm sure they will because this place is very nice and professional.

I want to give a big compliment to the staff - it has been a long time since I have encountered such professionalism and friendliness. All of you have made our stay very speciial - thank you! Also: perfect location, cute room decorated with love and care, and an amazing breakfast with a selected choice of pies, bread and eggs made on the spot to your liking.

It is not really a dislike, just a heads-up: the hotel does not have a lift. So if your luggage is heavy and your room is on the first/second floor, it will be a bit of a struggle to transport it. Also, if you arrive by car, you might get lost finding the parking and hotel, as it is in a small side street. So prepare for that.

I wish I could rate higher than 10/10. This place is a gem!! Amazingly decorated both inside the rooms and all other areas, traveling you in another era. The location itself is very central and quiet at the same moment. The room we stayed was amazingly beautiful and at the same moment so practical, that is usually a difficult combination to achieve. So well equipped, that you will not miss anything! Breakfast is really awesome with great variety, highlighting the local products. Of course the best part is the staff! They did everything possible to make sure we had a great stay! Thank you very much!!

Are you kidding?

Lovely boutique hotel with superb, innovative decoration. The breakfast was fantastic. The location is perfect for all the Ioannina tourist attractions. Unusually for a town centre hotel, there is secure parking. The spa is small but offers excellent treatments plus a hammam and jacuzzi. All the staff are friendly and helpful.

Nothing we didn’t like. If you have limited mobility the stairs are quite steep and there is no lift. (this is not a criticism - it’s a historic building!)

The hotel was marvelous. From the first moment before you even enter the premises, hotel's staff was so helpful. The hotel is such a unique building and room's made you travel to another period of time. I appreciate a lot that we had a 3year old boy in our visit and the staff were so helpful day and night to assist his mother, providing in time proper food. Also i want to mention that it is very quiet and easy to find, and there is a vast space for car parking. Finally, its location is such that cannot be compared to others. It is literally located in the heart of Ioanning main centre and thus highly recommended.

The only thing(that is undoubtly considered a small detail) which I would advise hotel is that, although breakfast is very good, some people (including me) are lactose intolerant or in some type of lactose intolerant. I noticed that all type of cheese were inside one dome and not separated. Just a detail that me found as negative and prevented me from trying to taste.

Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast (including handmade delicious traditional food), flawless rooms service, unique traditional style in all spaces, cleanliness to the maximum, minibar with nespresso coffee system (daily resupply), very comfort bed mattress, high speed internet wifi connection, very convenient location (no need to take the car except for small round trips), car parking (important as city center is usually congested)

Would not change a thing, sufficient attention has been paid to all small details already

Amazing building, like a work of art in each and every room. Great location close to restaurants and nightlife in Ioannina but also quiet in the hotel area. The most AMAZING shower I've ever had! Nice touches like baklava in the room, minibar inclusive. Spa is open until 22:00 so was able to have an amazing massage when we got back after a long day. Breakfast was extensive and very nice. Only stayed 1 night, wished we had longer.

Well decorated, cozy, clean room spatious enough, not so functional but rather design oriented utilities but it is what it sells for. Top location and parking available, wife told me the spa personell was fine. Very polite and helping personell in general.

I would prefer consistency in the breakfast options. And the breakfast should be layed down in a more consistent space.
