The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We had several requests and all of them were handled immediately. The apartment had everything that we needed for a 2-week stay, and was cleaned regularly. It it in a quiet location, and the swimming pool was nice and there were enough sunbeds. The restaurant at the property was good too, we really felt welcome. There are also enough free parking spots.

The wi-fi was working well only in one room, that can be improved. The road to the beach is quite steep, so it can be hard for the people with health conditions on the hot days. But we knew about it when booking the apartment, so it's not really a dislike, just good to know.

The owners were very hospitable, treating us as members of their own family and we were sad to leave. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. The homemade food and drinks were fantastic and the room was clean, comfortable and our room had a great balcony. Thank you Stella and family for a brilliant stay, you really made this a great holiday for us. We'll certainly recommend anyone to stay here and will use you again when we come back to Crete. Thank you for the memories and the Raki 😄😄

Nice sea view, friendly staff

The apartment is a little bit two small for 4 people. In the photos it was shown that there will be one double bed and two single beds. However, the 4th bed was drawn out of the bottom of another bed like a temporary bed and it took a lot of space in the room. It was blocking the door entrance. For a short stay it's ok, but in case of staying longer, I'd consider finding a bigger place. Also there were hundreds of mosquitos biting at night. In the bathroom the shower did not have any doors, so when showering the kids there was water all over the room.

Beautiful location with a lovely swimming pool where the view overlooks the sea and Agia Pelagia below. Stella, Nikolas and family were always very friendly and helpful. Nice home cooked food and bar available on site. 2 beaches within a 5 and 10 minute walk. We had an amazing time at Pennystella Apartments.

The Pennystella is a family run hotel and you can really feel a family welcome. The hosts are always available with helpful advice and recommendations. We regularly returned to the hotel's restaurant as the food was delicious and home made. The views from our studio and from the swimming pool area are magnificent. You're only 15 mins walk (walking slowly) from the beach where we enjoyed daily and nightly swims. We highly recommend Pennystella and Agia Pelagia: we had a wonderful family holiday! We will certainly return.

We enjoyed a lovely week's stay at Pennystella. The staff were friendly and welcoming, helping us with local information whenever required. The food was home cooked and we enjoyed whatever we sampled. The pool was clean and spacious, sometimes you had it to yourself even in August. The location is on a hillside with great views which does mean some leg work back from the resort beaches or restaurants but we managed fine even with young children. Thank you for our week with you there.

very welcoming hosts who took great care of us. The hotel is close to the beaches, the city and the airport. The room is spacious, with a kitchenette, a bath, a balcony and a great view of the sea and mountains. Very nice pool and great restaurant. I highly recommend!

Nikolas, how wife Angelina, daughter Stella, could not have done anything more to make our stay more memorable! I cannot even mention the delicious food and friendship formed! This is one place you must come !

Delicious and varied meals, taken from the terrace that has outstanding views thanks to its high location. I enjoyed the daily dishes and the barbecues arranged for guests and customers by Stella and her family. The location of the restaurant terrace in relation to the swimming pool and accommodation is excellent, with someone always on hand to help.

I'd have loved some small tables at the pool loungers, to place a book on or sunblock etc.

The location was perfect! Hosts were super friendly and coffee and food were perfect! Also loved the pool and views from it. Room was a good temperature with the AC on hot nights.
