Blue Bay Hotel

Exceptionaly friendly and helpful staff, great location just outside the town centre. Best view of any hotel in Scala, especially our room and the breakfast terrace and bar. Good and varied breakfast, especially the pies. Very clean frequent towel change.

Very little really. The shower curtain was slightly short. I was worried about the lack of a lift but our room was on the first floor and the layout wasn’t suitable, so this was no real handicap. More of a problem if you were on a higher floor. A request to Irieni ensured that she was aware of my problem and made adequate provision.

The location of the property is very good as it is on the edge of Skala, so is very quiet, but within walking distance of all of the restaurants, bars and shops. The hotel's common areas are very good and well maintained, better than expected. The receptionist Eirini (Stella) is exceptional and very helpful. Her command of English is very good and was interested in talking about Greek culture and had immense knowledge of the area. She is a wonderful asset to the Hotel. I asked for a clothes drying rack which she promptly supplied. Nothing was too much trouble.

I felt the room I was allocated was not as good as other rooms in the Hotel. It had obviously at one time been a store as it was built into the hillside with a stone floor. There was only one plug available that could be used so charging items was difficult. It was fine for the time I was there, but would not have wanted to stay in it longer. The beds are very low and no mattress covers were in place.

I had an amazing time at the Blue Bay Hotel in Patmos! The view from the hilltop location was breathtaking, providing panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscape and sea. The breakfast spread was delicious, with a variety of freshly prepared dishes to satisfy every palate. The hotel's convenient location, just a 5-minute walk from the town center and a 3-minute walk from the ferry terminal. The rooms were comfortable, and well-maintained by the attentive housekeeping staff. The highlight, however, was the exceptionally friendly and helpful hotel staff who went above and beyond to ensure a fantastic stay. Overall, my experience at the Blue Bay Hotel was great. I would definitely stay again if I came back to Patmos.

I am used to softer beds, and the beds at Blue Bay are more traditional e.g harder. But that is my own comfort level. Additionally, the way to the hotel is on the side of the road, nothing to do with the hotel, just be mindful there are no sidewalks.

The staff Is super helpful and friendly. They gave me good advices and helped me also to book another hotel since i made a mistake in my reservation. The location Is really few steps from port and Village in a quiet area. Breakfast, sweet and salty, can be enjoyed on the terrace Rooms are basic but super clean. Recommended

The hotel Is in an old building and rooms are not really soundproofed and you can ear every kind of noise from corridors and other rooms. Not really a problem for me but there Is no lift and can be tricky if you travel with lot of luggages

I loved staying at the Blue Bay Hotel. Our ferry arrived at midnight so we were grateful that we could walk to our hotel and even more grateful when we were graciously welcomed. My room had a fantastic view! We also enjoyed the breakfast served on the terrace overlooking the sea. Above all, we appreciated the cheerful assistance by everyone at the hotel.

I loved my room as it had a fantastic view however it was on the 3rd floor. The view was worth the hike up the stairs. If stairs are a problem, you probably should ask for a room on the lower floor.

The views really are as beautiful as they look, from the hotel room balconies and across the island. Aside from all of the obvious things, like the walkable hills, pretty buildings, tasty fresh food (and the lovely staff at the hotel), there are little steps down to the sea dotted along the road to the right (as you leave), as well as elsewhere around the coast, so you can snatch a moment's peace by the waves. You can find great fish, meat, salad, etc. all around, but if you're looking for good food that's also cheap and still in a nice location, Tri-Gyro kebab shop is in a cute alley and Kardasia pastry shop is on a cute corner of a side street.

If the buzz of the mopeds on the central stretch of waterfront road would bother you, you can find pretty spots with good food in quiet spots in the streets behind.

Amazing location, close to port and to many restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops as well as main bus stop plus comfortable and nice room with a beautiful sea view (room205). There was a nice gentleman, I forgot to ask his name, I think part of house keeping staff, made sure that the reception lobby area is clean, assisted the guests during breakfast and helped also with the key when receptionist wasn’t available. I’d like to thank him, despite not knowing English he was so friendly, smiling and helpful 🙏🙏🙏.

unfortunately it is extremely noisy. Due to the ferry arriving and leaving the island between 3-4am. Guests check in and out with in this period woke me up every night😕. Also I had to wait for the reception staff a lot.

I was fortunate enough to have stayed at this very clean, peaceful and beautiful hotel, overlooking both the sea and port of Patmos, and green mountains on the other side. It's placed very close to the port, minutes walk from the centre of Skala, yet slso somehow far away enough away in its positioning do as to maintain a peaceful atmosphere. My rooms were spacious, very comfortable, cleaned to the highest standards, daily freshly laundered sheets, soft towels and bathroom refills. All communal areas of hotel are of similar high standard. But what made my stay at Blue Bay Hotel truly special, and exceeding other hotel stays were the 3 members of staff in the front desk, Irene, Chryssa and Giorgos, who worked tirelessly and did all to ensure our stay was a very happy one, from the momentum arrival going out of their way for us, no request too much. All 3 always with a smile, and such goodwill as well as being professional. We hope to return to Patmos one day, and to stay in Blue Bay Hotel . Highly recommended

You can see the hotel from the ferry when you come into the port. Get off the ferry, turn left and its 300m up the road, a good quiet location just outside Skala town. My room was clean and airy, with a great view over the bay. There was a really good buffet breakfast available (extra cost) which could be taken outside or in the cool dining room inside. There was also a good lounge area. All the staff were friendly and helpful and they had a small room for keeping bags for early and late check ins and outs. A very enjoyable stay at Blue Bay.

There was nothing to dislike.

Stay here most years. Great views over the Bay, convenient, quiet, fantastic value breakfast, very helpful staff. Best VFM on Patmos.

Set against the hillside so the rooms at the back have lots of steps => not for the mobility impaired. Otherwise nothing.
