Rooms The ambiance is set up in a very touristy manner with boats, woodwork, spices clothes, mirrors, etc. They have deluxe rooms - Rooms on the higher floors have a better view than ones below; as you get too close to the ground and below ground floors it's too close to the river and trees block your view. The cottages are ideal for celebrating couples. They have two restaurants - one is a dining area known as Keraleeyam and then a lounge bar ideal for small cocktail parties. Nearby activities Service: The staff is really friendly. The spa has both Ayurveda and Western therapies - including scrub, cosmetic, muscle, and aroma. They have a play area, a huge pool. Activities that can be planned with the help of staff is - archery, houseboat (individual or group), and cycling. The only thing missing is Valet parking - which is not a big deal. If the hotel is overbooked - you will find yourself hunting for a parking spot. Food & drinks Food is average. Kozhikode is famous for its cuisine and eating joints, but Kadavu misses that edge. They can do better on this front. The breakfast buffet is scrumptious with both Kerala and western spread with live counters.

bathroom lock in room no.401was little hard. The dinner buffet menu can be improved by including some more continental options. many of Indians prefer masala tea in morning. I would have appreciated inclusion of masala tea bags in room.

The property is right on the backwaters and the views are extraordinary. it is somewhat very close to the city and not far away. The people were very accommodating and very caring. Special mention to Siyad at the restaurant who took care of us really well. The pool was really big and nice.

The rooms are a little dated but was clean. we had booked the breakfast,lunch and dinner plan. Breakfast was buffet style when we were there. Breakfast was good. Due to lesser number of bookings in the hotel, they gave a set menu to choose from - for lunch and dinner and there was no buffet. They gave the same thing for two days and was very boring and not worth the price. We had to select one soup, one main course (veg or non veg) with rice and breads and one dessert of choice. ( they had 4 soups, 4 desserts and 6-7 items in main course ). they gave the same set menu to choose from and we did not like it at all. If you are booking, just take the breakfast plan and don’t go for full board. They have fishing as an activity but the fishing rods were broken. The gave maida as bait :)

The staff are eager to help but lack training. The property looks and charges like 5 star. But staff do not know to deal with a request for cashews and almonds. They insist on spelling out the bill before my guests. Staff lack personal hygiene - in Summers they need to be extra careful.

Unpleasant Lower and middle Staff interaction. They appear adamant. " your card declined !!" When it was a network error .

The food was fantastic! We are vegetarian and that doesn't help in Kozhikode. However, all the dishes we tried at Raviz were delicious without exception. Simple dishes like vegetable stew were so so good.

Property is old and the bathrooms are showing their age. That is the only gripe I have about the place.

The stuff was really extraordinary helpful. I was on the way to airport and took a 3 days staying in that 5-Star Hotel. I had some over weight baggage witch I had to send then 6 kg back home by parcel. So the stuff organised a delivery sevice who came to pick up the parcel to send that to Europe. I was so happy, because organising something like that in India is little bit time taking, and I had my last days in India, and wanted to enjoy the hotel staying. I love this beautiful Hotel with all the very friendly stuff. Love you and who knows one day back to Calicut!
