Rooms were excellent, the standard 4 - 5 star types... nothing to major to complain about. All amenities and standard of facilities you would expect from a Grand Mercure were there. The restaurant was great and food was really excellent. Surprisingly we also found that it was quite reasonably priced (comparing to the prices we are used to seeing in Pune / Mumbai at places like these)

The hot running water in the bathroom was a bit of a hit-or-miss. Sometimes it was great, other times I got a sudden cold shower in the middle of a Luke warm bath (which I actually wanted to be nice and hot) Another thing I can point out is that the restaurant is quite a chaos and is seriously understaffed at breakfast times. Service was bad, the waiters were either confused or even forgot instructions and orders. This can be quickly fixed though

Great hotel. Fantastic location. Good facilities. Me and my entire family thoroughly enjoyed. Room is so spacious for 3 of us in a room but was manageable. Bath room is bit cramped but again we managed. Bed is comfortable to get a good relaxation overnight to get charged up for work the next day. Buffet dinner is awesome and oen should try. it may be bit expensive but worth.

One of the lift was not having any security system while other is having. Staying in such facilities will have some expectations. Attending to minute details especially on security systems can be added value.

Location breakfast specially Ms. Babita. She made us very comfortable. Very soft spoken and carring. Happy to see such staff. She Should be rewarded.

My special request was not served on time. I had booked for twin bed however I have been handed over with king size bed. When I ask reception to check over my request she said it will take 15 min to provide us the required room however after 45 min to 1 hr I have got the room that the staff has shifted us while the room was still getting cleaned and we were waiting out side the room till they finish. As we travelled from dubai to bangalore and from bangalore airport to the hotel and this extra waiting made us more exhausted.

Well my kid liked the place and wife did not have a reason to complain, so thats half the battle won. Room was clean. Attached balcony with a full size french window made a lot of difference with morning sun coming into the room. Service was polite and prompt in the hotel as well as the restaurant. The restaurant(La Uppu) is quite good. The outside seating of the restaurant has good shade and overall cool feel to it with some activities for kids. Would recommend to anyone and will prefer staying here again on the next visit!

the soundproofing between rooms was not all that great. We had a door which connected to the next room. The door was locked. But we could hear kid crying there at night

The staff were very courteous, from the reception team to restaurant/spa. Room was spacious. Breakfast was very diverse, fresh omelettes, fresh coffee however would recommend to add some tags with spiciness (some dishes were really spicy).

I would recommend a deep clean in the bathroom - the sink/taps and the shower window, taps had a lot of limescale/calcar spots. Toilet itself needed a deep clean. In addition the curtains had a funny smell, might recommend washing those too.

I stayed at the Grand Mercure between 26th Jun'23 to 28th Jun'23 with my family. Pros: 1) Amazing food, we ordered the dinner for two days from their dine in menu, very good quality and quantity and taste and well. 2) Their breakfast speard is decent.

Cons: 1) We were given two interconnected rooms, but the hotel authorities did not even bother to check if the doors work. We were very tired and wanted to rest but had to wait for 45 minutes as the technician had to make sure that the doors work. 2) The housekeeping staff are not up to the mark, when we went out on the second day, the bedsheets were not even changed. Not expected from such hotel! 3) The shower gels were not even filled.

The hotel and it's services were excellent. I stayed at a Mercure Hotel after many years. I used to frequent this group in Europe many years ago. Now, what could be improved? Well the fact that my Accor card wasn't recognised. I was under the impression that it has permanent validity, but was told otherwise. Second, while mopping the floor in the restaurant and other places, it is good to keep a WET FLOOR sign. It was not keptat 6.30am at the restaurant and I had a big fall, although it was as smooth as can be and I did not suffer any damage. I know that your people were only doing their job, but they should be provided a d told to use the signs. This is not so much as a complaint, but just a genuine feedback.

The hotels breakfast spread was excellent. I love Indian food especially for breakfast. We had a problem with dinner on Christmas eve. Since we didn't want to have the Christmas brunch that was on, we opted to go out for dinner. The reception suggested us few places but they were all full with people in long queues, Finally we had to get take away masala thosa. We requested for two plates from room service which never came. I think the hotel should treat the in-house guests better.

The Breakfast menu is quite spread out and one can have option to choose and have as per one's choice. Rooms are clean and well maintained . The Restuarant serve great quality and tasty foods. The Roof top dining "By the Blue " is good during weekend with Live music, else on weekdays its little boring unless you are in a group. Food served in the restaurant are tasty and mouthwatering. Appreciate the Glass Water Bottles (Sealed ones) provided in rooms in lieu of the regular plastic bottles which just creates unnecessary environmental hazards.

The Towels provided are little old and hence have lost its original brightness, can be replaced for better feel good experience.

The hotel is located in close proximity to most of the attractions in and around the Mysore City viz. the Mysore Palace, Railway Museum, Railway Station etc. Commute options are easily available. The property also has a small play area for the kids with some toys including an Archery set and also has a XBox in the lobby as well. The breakfast has a good spread and there's especially a separate Tea stall that serves both coffee and flavoured (read Masala and Ginger tea) and being a Tea-lover, I absolutely loved it. The property is environment conscious and have tried to minimize plastic use at the hotel. Even the complementary water bottles given in the room and in the restaurant are made of food grade Glass. Cost-savings or not, but this is an excellent move though we had to ask for some regular essentials which were promptly attended to. The swimming pool is located in the terrace with a open-air restaurant and the same floor also houses a Gym and Spa as well.

The service during the breakfast was a little slow and we had to remind atleast 2-3 times to get our order. And this happened when there weren't many guests around, so a bit disappointed there. Personally, I thought the cuisines could have carried a more regional flavour as for me the spice levels were too low (could be to cater to the international travellers).
