What an amazing family that greets you in their home - It is so fun with them! If you want to go to Sibayak volcano, it’s a perfect starting point. If you want to rent a scooter - they will get one for you. I personally didn’t mind the cold shower - there are rooms with hot water. The room could use a little refreshment, but good value for the money. And they do prepare amazing food - try to get the passion fruit juice, definitely my favorite! If the weather is good, use their amazing garden for relaxation.

I had an amazing stay here in this rest house. The room was clean en big, the bed was comfy. The location of this place is perfect, it’s just outside the busy city together with the garden makes it a peaceful place. The food is amazing and there are plenty of options What made my stay amazing was the family. I only booked for 2 nights and ended up staying for a week because it felt like home. The family is lovely and welcoming, it’s like you are part of the family. Winnie and Karina took me out to see the nice places around Berastagi. This is so far the best place I stayed here in Indonesia.

This property was a very nice stay and starting point for Sibayak as well as Sipiso Piso. Our room (particularly bathroom) wasn’t very clean and you could hear everything during evening and night but everything else was amazing! The owners are kind, the food was delicious, they exchanged our money, washed our clothes, booked a guide for the whole day trip (we don’t know his name but he was the best), and organized a transfer. All in all, very nice. Thank you!

You really feel like home over there! Family business since 3 and almost 4 generations, the staff is amazingly kind, fun and lovely! The food is delicious and affordable! The location is perfect to go trekking, and the place is very relaxing.

Just miss the hot shower, otherwise it would be perfect

Huge lawns at the front, the pine trees and the fishponds in the hidden bowl like depression at the back of the property . Small sit outs in the garden, a couple of swings and benches give enough space to everyone. The family that runs it bring on an additional positive vibe. As they say, came as a stranger left as a friend

Quiet place with a very nice garden, big rooms and welcoming owners. Very closed from the city center, the karonese museum and fruits market. Ideally located for the access to Sibayak volcano 🌋

We spontaneously gotten a room in the sibayak multinational guesthouse because there were some problems with our primarily accommodation. When we arrived Winnie and her mother received us very friendly and showed us the budget room and the deluxe room so we could decide in which room we would like to stay. We choosed to stay in the deluxe room which was very spacious. Everything was clean, the bed very comfortable, the shower has hot water 24/7 and from the balcony we had a great view over the property which is very green with a lot of trees and some swings and seesaws. Perfect playground for kids. The family who owns the guesthouse was so lovely to us all the time and made us feel like we are part of the family. You could feel that it was really important to them that we feel comfortable and if we had some needs we could always tell them and they made sure to take care. We had breakfast every morning and sometimes lunch or dinner in the little restaurant belonging to the guesthouse. You can choose from a generous menu and everything we ate was very tasty. The family can tell you a lot about Berastagi and help you with planing your activities. Winnie and her sister Karin even took us on a tour and showed us the city which was great fun. You can also book tours for example hiking up the sibayak at sunrise. We did the trek to sibayak with guide uncle Erwin. Erwin is a very well experienced and funny guy. He’s in the tourist business since a long time and got a lot of contacts which is very convenient. He helped us with finding an accommodation for our next destination due to his contacts. Overall staying in the multinational sibayak guesthouse was a great time for us and we would like to come back!
