- AMAZINGLY kind staff - greeted us with a welcome drink, cold towel, we could check in early. Helped us book tours and arrange bike hire. They really helped to make our stay really special, particularly as it was for my birthday 🩷 - bed was really comfy - nice room with a lovely outdoor seating area for chilling - bathroom good with toiletries provided & room was cleaned daily. - food really yummy at all times of day and nice breakfast included ! Eggs on toast or pancakes and lovely fruit. - location was a short few minute bike ride from Main Street and was quiet at night which we liked. 10-15 min walk to the boat harbour. - nice refreshing pool

Very clean room, cleaned every day. Water jar in the room. Good bathroom with lots of pressure and very clean shower (water flowing from top, or hand). The water didn’t taste salty as in another accommodation (Paradesa Villa). Breakfast was great (oat pancakes, fruits, muffins, coffee/tea, scrambled eggs) The owners/staff made us feel really great and they were really attentive to us.

Guests are really noisy, and because of the proximity of all the rooms, it is difficult to sleep the morning. Improvements: add a curtain in the shower to not have water splashing. Bath mat could be cleaner.

There were table and chairs in our room and it kind of just felt like they were in the way. The bungalow rooms are right beside the common area/pool/restaurant and can be a little noisy at times. Breakfast wasn’t great, service at breakfast was awful. Staff seemed flustered and unclear about what they were doing.

Not my first stay at Katara and it gets better each time. They now have more staff who are very friendly and keen to help. They are constantly making sure your stay is going to be good. The rooms are exceptionally clean and the mattresses are incredibly comfortable. The property benefits from being 5 mins away from the busy front so you can relax by the pool without being disturbed. The food is also exceptional with a choice of local or western . New on the menu is the smashed burger which has a new theme on an old favourite. Highly recommended . Ps the WiFi is good here.

The staff it's so bloody nice. The place is very well kept. Pool is nice, and big enough. Yeah you might find a couple of floating leaves here and there, but guess what? that does not make the pool dirty. food is 10/10 position 10/10 - close enough to everything, far enough to not hear the mosque and prayers. room 10/10 - yeah ofc there is some rust here and there, but what do you expect? this aint a 5 stars hotel, so do not have 5 stars hotel expectation! totally recommend.

The best place to stay in Gili ! Staff is amazing, beyond expectations. They help you arrange everything you need (transport, activities, laundry). I have extended my stay because I was having a great time in Gili, and there was no other place I would rather stay than Katara. Room is neat, a/c works well, swimming pool is nice, breakfast really good. Location is great as well. Thanks again to all the staff, thanks to Ayu and Wira for their everyday smile and friendly chatting. When I come back to Gili I will stay here for sure !

1. Each guest room features an adjacent storage room, but the design includes a small glass window connecting to it, causing disturbances when staff turn the lights on and off at night 2. Swimming pool 3. Breakfast 4. Bathroom could benefit from a thorough deep cleaning. 5. The entrance’s ambiance is marred by the unsightly amount of garbage strewn on the street in front of the hotel, detracting from its appeal.

Food: Thanks to Riyaan, the food was really nice. The menu is limited. Check-in: It is not possible to make full payment through booking.com. Location: If you are looking for bar hopping, this may not be the right location. However, the staff is always cleaning and the property is really clean. The staff is hardworking and helpful with bike rentals. The room has AC and a fan. The bathroom tiles are not that clean. The bed is comfy.

The service and staff were so helpful and kind, especially Wira who helped me from start to finish of my time in Gilli and it ended up being one of my favourite memories and moment of my trip. The room was spacious Bed was comfortable Hot water worked great Food was delicious

Neighbours were a little noisy so didn’t get the best sleep but that’s not on the property, hit and miss anywhere you go!

Staff was very friendly and remembered my name and always checked to make sure everything was good. Comfortable small room, great wifi, and breakfast was good. Also their kitchen in general for other food was great. Easily the best fries I've had in Indonesia for the past 2 months.

Place was listed on Booking.com as 4-stars. Not entirely sure where that came from. It was nice for the area but I'd consider it 2 maybe 3 stars but to be fair I am comparing to a Western metric. Also no space for lounge chairs/to hang out by the pool unless you are in one of the bottom rooms. Their room key also comes with giant wooden circular thing on it which makes it necessary to bring a bag to carry the key in as not accommodating for a pocket.
