Hotel Sorga Cottages

We booked only for one night due to a connecting flight early next day. We loved the room with the nice balcony, the very good location, a very short walk to the beach and many restaurants around. It was quiet at night, the pool was great and the staff very aware. All in all a perfect stay for us.

The room is big, its basic but comfortable. All the staff is friendly and super nice. Very helpful receptionists , u can rent a bike next to the hotel. Value for money if u plan to stay for long term. They clean the room everyday for me and give new towel. Upon arrival there is welcome drink as well. Wifi is excellent in the room.

Not so much option for breakfast but anyway the hotel is close to alot of restaurant. But if they provided plenty options for breakfast that will be great.

The hotel had an exceptional pool which was extremely clean and in good condition. The airconditioning was very effective. The grounds of the area were beautiful, with several ponds and a bamboo xylophone. The area was surprisingly quiet considering its proximity to the main roads & the 'party areas' in Kuta. The balcony was comfortable and gave a good view over the grounds. A nearby warung "Munchies" does very good coffee & nasi goreng for a great price.

The room had a total of 2 power outlets, one of which was in the bathroom. The shower took a very long time to warm up, however the water was hot when it did finally come out. There was no soap or similar provided with the room. Drivers sometimes struggled to navigate the alleyway out the front to access the property.

The hotel is built in traditional Balanise style with lots of sculptures, nice gardens and a good pool. The room was fine if a little dated. Plenty of hot water, aircon good. Food pretty basic and not appealing at all.

Such a pity it is in what is now a rundown area made worse by every graffiti on every available wall. Empty shops in what was pre covid times a super little area of Legion. It needs drastic action before it is too late. The hotel deserves more.

I have visited many countries, stayed in many hotels, but this hotel is the best I have visited so far. I offer great comfort for a low price. At first glance, you can see cleanliness and order here. The staff is nice. The whole hotel is quiet and the beautiful garden are away from the traffic noise. The wonderful and clean swimming pool is serviced daily. The staff also cleans the entire hotel and rooms daily. We have an affordable bar where you can eat and drink anything.

Card payment machine was not working and had to go to the bank to get cash payment , I paid for upgrade to air conditioned room but it was very noisy and I had to turn it off after awhile as it gave me a headache . The property is close to the beach and shops and down an isolated narrow laneway , I had real issues with all the savage dogs in the laneway , I couldn't get back to the hotel or go out as they were savage and blocked the laneway and they went to attack me , barking and jumping up at me and I was frightened of them so I had to get a taxi back to the hotel to get past them .

The best part about Sorga is the staff, location, pool and the people you will meet. Where they fall short is in their rooms. Beds are quite used and only come a sheet that slides off, no bed pad. Showers lack water pressure.

The room was clean and looked good, the balcony was a sweet little extra. But the highlight was definitely the hotel itself: the architecture looked so good! And the pool was also really nice: Clean and not to hot or to cold. I would definitely recommend staying here.

There was only one power outlet and it was in the bathroom. Also you should really stay in a room with air conditioning. Otherwise it will be way to hot, even with the big fan on the ceiling.

Excellent value , friendly staff , spacious room , comfortable bed , clean bed linen , 24 hour hot water , pleasant garden setting , 24 hour reception with good security .

The only issue is the savage dogs that hang around the both ends of the laneway making it difficult to enter and exist the hotel without experiencing some discomfort , luckily local residents came to help me to get past the savage dogs

I decided to stay in Kuta because of its proximity to the airport as I had a flight early morning. Kuta turned out to be disappointing but it was not the case of the Hotel Sorga Cottages. I liked the property very much. It is located in a very quiet street and it is possible to rest very well there. Though the hotel seems a bit isolated, in fact the beach and restaurants are in a walking distance. The room was spacious and well equipped and it had a nice private balcony which I liked very much. The receptionists can arrange airport transfer.
