Ramayana Suites and Resort

We came to Kuta , Bali imagining crowded streets, aggressive vendor markets and an over occupied beach around New Years. What we saw and experienced was a quiet corner of Kuta, very calm street side stores with their sellers eager to strike a deal but not bargain much. The beach was crowded on 31st Dec between 9:00 pm - 2:00 am but thats expected. This trip was for our kids and for us to re live our Bali honeymoon. After searching and comparing several hotels in Kuta, we finalized Ramayana and the hotel exceeded our expecations in evert possible way. The Hotel Lobby is simple and elegant. The staff are extremely pleasant and responsive. The Pool was a cool place to be in , both day time and the evenings. We didnt have breakfast as part of our plan so I dont know how was the experience but the settings looked tempting always The have a fabulous sports bar but we didnt get a chance to go there. The kids area is nice and safe for kids to stay , in case the parents are away for a while. We got a New Year Eve's Dinner voucher from Al Dente restaurant which was a pleasant surprise. The dinner experience was awesome with vegetarian options included. The staff was all decked up and they made sure all women and girls also tried the glamour patches. Lots of good music and dancing there ! The Hotel is near the Kuta beach which I found to be pleasantly clean and quiet. For early morning walkers, it was clean as well The Spa was clean and hygenic. The massage for my wife was excellent and rejuvinating. Pity , we got only 1 slot in 4 days. I highly recommend families to consider this property and location . The beach is quieter and less crowded as compared to other places I saw. There are options for water sports but we didn't have time so maybe other visit, another time in future.

Nothing to complain but some how the booking was without breakfast. It would have been nice to have it included at the same price.

The location was fine, it takes about 15-20 minutes to walk to central city of Kuta. The breakfast was good, but it would be beneficial to include gluten free options such as yoghurt, bread, noodles etc. The room was adequate but could use improvements as it appears outdated. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service.

The mattress and pillows were uncomfortable. affecting the overall quality of sleep. The shower head was leaking, and the air conditioning wasn't working because of a leak. However, it was promptly fixed. The Wi-fi wasn't the best, it would occasionally cut off, requiring reconnection. The balcony door wouldn't shut properly due to damage, and it didn't look very nice, it has been fixed. The area outside the restaurant faced a busy road with cars and motorcycles honking, creating excessive noise.

The location was very well appointed, walking distance to everything we needed otherwise a short taxi ride/drive to anything else we couldn't or didn't want to access on foot. The amenities were great, everything we needed on hand. Our room was extremely spacious and the beds were prefect for us. Bonus points for the pillows, they were XL sized but so comfortable. I suffer from migraines and almost never sleep on pillows provided by accommodations, however these were a dream. The room was somewhat 'tired' if you will. but this sort of thing doesn't bother us. The pool was super clean, very well maintained and the daybeds were great. We absolutely loved the bar/lounge area right next to the pool. We were able to order (on site restaurant) food and drinks at any time the pool was open. More bonus points for the music selection, it was so relaxing. We loved the onsite restaurant and were very happy we made the choice to take the daily breakfast option. "Bali Belly" did enter my mind when selecting this buffet option, however all hot options were freshly cooked, cold and fruit selections were kept chilled and water/milks/juices were all separate to allow people to make their own choices. Nobody from our group became unwell at any point in our stay at Ramayana and we ate breakfast/pool service/dinners daily. The restaurant and menu is exceptional, no negative feedback whatsoever. The highlight though, was absolutely the staff. So calm, accommodating and happy to help with anything. They are the best asset of this accommodation.

The only two faults we encountered were the dripping shower head and paint smell from the A/C vent. In hindsight we should have reported these as soon as we noticed it but we didn't spend much or enough time in the room for it to bother us. I do note that alongside the A/C vent, we had another heat pump/aircon unit in the room which we were able to utilise. There also appeared to be some renovations and painting just down the hall from us so while not ideal, we weren't overly fussed. The positives majorly outweighed the small negatives and we would absolutely stay again.

This is an older, but very well maintained hotel that is like an oasis in the center of Kuta. It has well established grounds and a relaxing atmosphere. The beach is a short walk away and there are many good eating options close by. The Waterbom Park is an easy walk away for the family. We had a family suite which was very comfortable.

My wife didn't like the food very much saying it was too bland and the pasta undercooked. The rest of us thought it was good though. The room had a lot of mosquitos upon arrival which we took care of with a quick trip to the mini market for some spray. It was ok inside after that. The wifi would fade in and out making some work zoom calls challenging.

Excellent staff. All very approachable and happy to help. Front desk were great at meeting our need to change our room. Staff in the restaurant were very accommodating and did their best to meet our dietary requirements. Water dispensers in the room was an unexpected bonus.

Choice of food in the restaurant is limited, especially if you are a vegetarian and staying for several days. Having said that the quality of the food was great.

We stayed three nights here (two of us) Room was lovely, close to pool, breakfast, Luch and dinner area and reception. Actually the best meal we had around the area was in the hotel's own restaurant, beautiful and yummy meal for a early dinner. Buffet breakfast had plentiful and wide range of food which was tasty. If you want bacon ask the egg chef for it, they will bring out two pieces of bacon per plate. Pool was lovely, loved the shape and the orchid tears overhanging it Hotel is virtually half way between Discovery Shopping Mall and Beach Walk Mall either way. Plenty of dinner options around the area. Lots of massages places nearby for your tired feet.

Water in shower didn't drain very well, the bottom of the water kept on rising. Had to turn off tap to wait for water to drain. No mirrors outside bathroom. Keep outside door to balcony closed, unless you want mosquitoes having a go at you.

The suite was very spacious. It had a seperate room for kids and living room. Close to shops, restaurants and beach.

There were lots of broken things like tab, toilet seats that would have been fixed. Not all staffs are very pleasant. Some staffs behave differently to some nationalities. Cleaners should also take the dust from the room regularly.

From the first greetings when we arrived, the staffs were amazingly friendly and helpful. Because of a system error, I was put on a different room type (initially booked a two bedroom suite, got a family suite instead). However, they gave us some extra benefits as a compensation. The rooms were modernly refurnished, clean, with a touch of traditional Balinese interior. The location is very close to some great cafes, with a minimart right beside it. Its not a beachside property but it only took us about 3 minutes walk to Kuta beach and a 10-20minutes drive to Seminyak and Canggu.

The soundproofing could do with a little bit more work as our room was quite close to the restaurant's bar and we were there during worldcup. Got woken up a couple times around 3am by the cheering fans. We don't really mind as none of us has any problems with falling back asleep but would have given it a 10 if not because of this.

The suite was beautiful the gardens were purposely build to shade the resort naturally They provided added services which we didn’t know every day we had a amazing afternoon tea The staff would come around in the evening to see if you wanted clean towels or anything followed by a bedtime snack with a note saying have a lovely evening and turn down your bed tidy your room

The reception area was open planned on arrival the heat inside reception was incredibly muggy and hot we were left for about 10 mins waiting at reception desk But as we had a suite we were invited to sit in the suite lounge which is air conditioned but sadly I would of thought we would of been offered a cold face wash and a refreshing drink instead offered a warm bottle of water on arrival The only other issue was breakfast the juices were warm making them not inviting to drink The way the buffet is designed there is no place to sit your plate having to hold in one hand lift the food contain lid but then you needed another hand to put food on plate which I found a bit frustrating when you are on your own
