We spent 6 nights at La Boheme Hostel in Labuan Bajo. We slept in an eight-bed dormitory. Each bed has a small locker and a curtain. The air conditioning is sometimes set too cool, but can be adjusted with the remote control. The toilets and shower rooms were always super clean. In addition, there was permanent drinking water and tea. Breakfast consisted of pancakes, fruit and nasi or me goreng. There are several great retreats such as a hammock, sofas or the chill corner at the reception. There is a lot of coming and going in the hostel, but this gives you great opportunities to meet other travelers. While staying in the hostel, you will sometimes be entertained by the beautiful singing and guitar playing of Charlos. He's helping you with every question, for example, he organized a tour to the Komodo National Park for us very quickly and easily. The hostel also has its own restaurant. We ate there every night as we enjoyed it so much and the waiters were so nice and funny. Jhon, Andrian and Rival not only entertained us, but also showed us great spots in Labuan Bajo and we spent many great hours together. Many thanks to the whole team! You made our stay memorable and hopefully we can come back sometimes!

The staff is truly wonderful! They make you feel like family, a home away from home. Jovi, Carlos, Ayu and the others at the reception made booking excursions and extending so easy. The bar staff and andrian are really good at there job and make sure you have everything you need. The food is cheap and super good, especially the fish. The sunset and quiz night organized by Jovi was super fun and good to meet new people. One of the things that make the vibe is all of the staff playing guitar and singing together.

The only thing that could be a bit better are the beds, they sleep fine but not the most comfortable.

We stayed three times here and every time there were some issues. They changed the room without telling us and we found out all our stuff were put in a different dorm when we arrived back in the hostel. The second time they gave my bed to another guest and when I told them they said ‘you can’t have two beds’ so they didn’t even listen. The third time they didn’t make up the bed of my friend and when we asked to do it they didn’t look what was on the bed and lost a good t-shirt of my friend. We asked politely if they had seen it and they just responded ‘maybe you lost it on the beach’. I think it’s important they take responsibility for what they do but they didn’t in any of the cases which changed our mind a bit about the hostel.

-the social vibe and respect of the travellers exchanging stories -many common areas that invite for many different group hang outs -not directly in center but it's a walkable distance (and I m lazy)

-the electricity is very slow so unless you have a fast charger it will be very difficult -there are not many sockets in the room for charging at night or so so far away from the bed that if you want to charge over night and have an alarm on you might need to climb down the bed and find the phone first which is very annoying for everyone else in the room (get a portable battery for the duration of your stay) - if you are staying in upper bunk, good luck, the ladders are not attached to the bed so if you are not careful it might as well fall off, the beds are very wobbly and skinny so if you have your phone next to you it might fall off during the night (I tied everything next to me in a bag on the bed frame) -no WiFi in the rooms

Cool, quirky property in a primary location, a short walk to the Main Street. Lots of places to hang out and socialize and lots of clean bathrooms to use if needed. Breakfast was pretty good. Shuttle to airport provided for a small fee.

Staff was kind of hit or miss in terms of attitude/niceness but helpful regardless of demeanor. Only real frustration was that the first night it was ridiculously cold in the hostel room and the second night it was ridiculously hot so it was impossible to sleep between both nights. Also I think the price was a bit more expensive than it had to be for a shared room.

Cool architecture. Very tropical. Amazing food at the on site restaurant.

Very young skewed demographic. Most coming or going from the Bali-Flores boat trip. So not a quiet place then the boat loads arrive. The location is pretty sketchy on first arrival and walking around it at night. The back way (up the hill) is worse - the foreshore entrance is safer. They close it all up and turn the lights off quite early, and lock the back entrance up. Not the best lockers or beds - probably the worst of all my stay in Indonesia. It’s fine but its pretty flimsy and privacy isn’t a thing.

Fabulous staff, great food, wonderful outdoor areas

Minor things only. I stayed in two different dorms. One was great, one was average with no power near the bed and the power sockets in the lockers not working. Staff are super friendly and keen to sit down at your table to chat so sometimes you have to politely tell them you can’t talk if you’re trying to get other things done. Quite a few young and inexperienced travellers who maybe haven’t learned hostel etiquette yet so be prepared to be woken at all times of the night as they loudly return to the dorm drunk.

This hotel offers everything if you are not dependent on excessive luxury. The city center is easily accessible on foot. The staff are all super friendly and very helpful in organizing any request. They also all speak English extremely well compared to other accommodations we stayed in during our stay in Indonesia. In the evening the atmosphere is very homely and full of life - you can have a drink at the bar while someone sings on the guitar and children play together. Still the night's rest is respected. Highly recommended!!!

Be prepared for the open bathroom.

Loved this hostel and had booked it twice when we returned from Komodo. The private room was clean, comfy and had AC and a fan! The bathroom was an ensuite but outside which was cool. The staff were super helpful and friendly. They recommended a great waterfall for us and helped us rent bikes. The food there is great, they offer free breakfast and free tea/coffee. They also have drinks for a fair price which is nice. The location was beautiful and really easy to access. It was a 30 minutes walk to the airport and 15/20 minutes to the harbour. Good social vibe in the restricted and loads of places to sit and chill around the tree house style hostel.

Nothing. We were recommended this hostel and would recommend it to others!

The private room was perfect. Nice bed, lots of plugs, AC and fan! The bathroom was an ensuite and they provided toilet paper (no hot water but it's 32 degrees so we didn't mind). Breakfast was great - you get shakes and a different menu. There was always free tea and coffee as well as water refills for 2k. The staff were amazing. They offered cheap laundry service, and were able to book us motorbikes! They also recommended great places to go and explore. The social vibe was good - there was plenty of space as well as hammocks, roof top seating, a pool table and table tennis! We loved it so much, we booked again when we returned to Labuan Badjo

Nothing. It was really great - the price was more than two dorm rooms but that's fair as we got our own space.
