We stayed in the Fave Hotel, Makassar, twice in February, 2023. Fave is a modern hotel with all the amenities you need. It is in the Pantai Losari area, very close to the seafront walkway, with multiple neighborhood restaurants and food carts easily available. Though a bit back from the main road, everything is easily accessible. The location was perfect to allow us to explore Makassar either by walking or taking a tuk-tuk (motorized rickshaw - just ask the front desk for recommendations on how much to pay and negotiate that before your trip!) It is a bustling area and is a great spot for experiencing Makassar. The staff was friendly and helpful and had enough English to answer our questions. I often WhatsApp texted with a Fave representative who was quite helpful in arranging our transport to and from the hotel and confirming other arrangements. We upgraded to a sea-view room on an upper floor, and had a spacious bedroom with a secondary attached room with seating and kitchenette. The view over the harbor was really a pleasure. The bed was comfortable, good air conditioning, and there was a hot water kettle for tea or coffee. We enjoyed the Indonesian breakfasts each morning - and they will cook you an egg to order. And when we were too tired to go out again, we had a pleasant lunch in the coffee shop.

The bathroom, however, only had tepid water - not a huge hardship because of the sweltering weather. The location was a bit back from the main area and looked a bit run down, but being off the main street is probably better to decrease the noise from the cars and the entertainment that occurs at the Losari Plaza on the weekend.

Best location 1st time check-in in the city of Makasar we choose the correct hotel There is plenty of street food near the hotel and getting around is easy with Grab and Maxim. Recommended hotel to stay in if you like to explore nearby area.

Nothing is dislike about this hotel

Perfect location. Very clean. Reasonably quiet.

No fridge in the room. A bit much water on the floor after shower because of the way the shower section is designed. The Do not disturb sign very easily fell off when opening and closing the door.

Good breakfast

I wanted to upgrade my room so that I could work in it with others. This was not possible, although the hotel would have benefitted from my extra payment for changing to a better room.

The location was amazing! We looked at the magnificent mosque from the hotel and walked around the harbor.

The taxi drivers outside the hotel were very agressive.

very small bathroom. should at least provide a floor towel in the bathroom because whole place flooded everytime we bathed.

Restaurants, ATM, the mosque with the 99 domes and possibly a hospital are all next door. The hotel offers every comfort and service.

The location is very comfortable to walk around to find the restaurant.

It would be great if you can provide the breakfast with more variety food.

It was ok. Lots if people at 8h30… not a lot of food left But we ask the staff and they bring us more food and it was good
