Staff were second to none, really helpful and friendly - even offering moped rides so I could see more of the island. The rooms are big and clean, it's a small place with only 6 rooms which means the pool/breakfast area is always calm and quiet.

I wouldn't call this beachfront, it has a lovely sea view and is only roughly 5 mins walk down to a little beach. The steps and entrance into the place is very difficult to access especially with lots of luggage. If you are a chronic over packer like me, or you have mobility issues this is something to bear in mind. The island often experiences power cuts, so a few times the room was left in the dark without air con. Knowing this happens often, it would be a good idea for them to have a torch or something in the room, so you're not wandering round in the dark at night.

It was a fabulous place to stay. Our host Fabian had no staff whilst we were there, but I must say nothing was too hard for him. He was a gracious host and looked after us beautifully. It was so peaceful and tranquil. Great pool with an amazing view over the island. Our bungalow was cozy with a balcony and outside shower. Anything we needed Fabian got for us. He made a great breakfast every morning and was happy to get on his scooter to go get a restaurant meal for us. It was a perfect short break. We are a couple in our mid 60's. We booked Rocky fast boat from Sanur. There service was very good.

The steps down to the villa are a bit tricky and if you have mobility issue's like me it was a bit of a challenge. But that was ok as I only went but up once. I was more than happy to stay put.

A Dream room in Lembongan Island. This place perfectly fulfilled all the requirements for the room I wanted in our budget. : 1. a sea view from my windows or private balcony; 2. close to the beach; 3. feel free to leave the window located above the floor. no one is coming and going, preferably ants either!; .4. an airy room with mosquito netting to let me sleep without the a/c on cool nights; 5. a fridge and ceiling fan is a bonus. The cleaning was done to a five-star standard and there was no need to wipe down the room before use. Of course, the pool water and the entire place are all clean. The semi-outdoor bathroom is almost a beautiful garden! The floor is covered with pebbles and there are plants in the corners, arranged so that they just catch the raindrops. The balcony has a set of deck chairs and a table so comfortable that you can spend all day there looking out at the sea. At night, when I finish the beer and lie down on a deck chair, I love to see the inside of the roofs of the bungalows well lit by the lights. It was woven with straw(?) carefully, I admired it every night. Breakfast is nothing short of wonderful. We didn't get hungry until noon so we relaxed. For us, our stay here was double the price of our previous stay in Bali, but we still felt it was too cheap. It must not be easy to keep such beautiful facilities. The daily cleaning of the rooms is no different. Thanks to the lovely owner couple and Mamma, Merci!

The 5 or 6 bungalows overlooking the pool and the (not too distant ocean) are stunning, the best I stayed in, in Bali. They are well equipped, the balconies are large and spacious, and the bungalows are well separated from each other. The breakfasts are amazing; fresh, tasty and filling! The infinity pool is very welcoming if you want a day off from the beach, and the sun loungers are comfortable and adjustable. Each bungalow is supplied with two beach towels (as well as normal bath towels). All in all, La Gautch Bungalows are highly recommended!

The only two (related) slight downsides are the fact that they don't serve food on an evening (food during the day nasi goreng etc was excellent) and secondly, there are not many restaurants around within walking distance. If you have a scooter, no problem.

- amazing view from the room - great bathroom and shower with open roof, it was amazing - strong air con, staff left it on for us so it was so nice to coming in to the cool room - the owner was so helpful, booked boats and transfer for us - staff was lovely and helped us when wanting to get rid of unexpected guests 🦎 - very tidy and clean - we recommend renting a scooter from the bungalow, u can hire for a full day or half day for small charge - it was the most quiet and relaxing place we have been in so far 😍

Location was great, a 10-20 minute walk from the beaches and restaurant areas. However, the route may not be suitable for those with mobility issues or poor fitness, as there are several steep hills and the terrain is off road. The pool area is nice to sit around, and beach towels are provided. The view is lovely, too. The bungalow was ideal for a couple or solo traveler. The bed is comfortable and there is a small wardrobe and a fridge to keep your water in. The bathroom is outdoors, which is surprisingly private and I didn't find any bugs or flies. It's fairly modern and clean, as well. The property was clean by Bali standards, and the bed is made every morning whilst you're at breakfast. Breakfast was included, and the banana pancakes were amazing. Wonderful laundry service! The clothes were returned clean, ironed, and folded. Fabien, the owner, was friendly and helpful. He arranged for a private snorkeling tour, which was incredible. The other staff were friendly and accommodating. Overall, this was a lovely stay.

The pillows are massive and a bit lumpy, which weren't too comfortable for smaller sized guests. Bring earplugs, or sleeping tablets, as the noise from the birds and animals is incredibly loud! A kettle would've been nice addition to the room as well.

This was a very lucky find, was very relaxing, clean, peaceful, intimate, and a personalised retreat, Fabian has created this by keeping it small with what I think are about maybe 8 or 10 small king sized stand alone villa’s . Everyone was polite and respectful. Fabian provided lots of local knowledge on how to explore the island, and the breakfasts were for me perfect. French in style fresh simple and home made. Even the yoghurt. I loved the out door bathroom the view from the front veranda ( watching the sunset) and the small beach down the hill that was never busy, also at the beach was a lovely business providing beauty treatments including a wonderful alo Vera massage for the excess sun exposed. I look forward to returning here on my next travels to Nusa lombogan.

For me there is nothing to not like here.

Cosy little bungalow with beautiful views & lovely coastal walk nearby. Staff were very helpful in organising a scooter for us & giving great local recommendations for exploring Lembongan & Ceningan. Everything they offer is also great value for money, the best hire rates etc we came across on any of the Nusa Islands. We loved relaxing in & by the pool. Great breakfast with a warming smile every morning too! :)

Communication through Booking app very slow, best to contact Fabian on WhatsApp instead (his number is on booking confirmation), he's super helpful & responsive.

This place was the highlight of my trip, the view is spectacular and the place is charming, love the outdoor shower, Fabien the Manager is a great guy and very helpful, the rest of the staff are amazing. the bungalows are a bit away from the busier area which makes it more charming. I would definitely stay there again.

If there is anything to mention it would be the distance from the main road which could make it challenging for those who don’t want to hire a scooter, the water pressure could be better, and hope the construction nearby will finish soon though the noise is only during the day.

The bungalows are very cute and have incredible views. It’s a short walk down to the beach (bit of a trek back up but it’s not too bad). The staff was lovely and helped with renting a scooter and getting laundry done. The breakfast was nice with fruit, juice, coffee/tea, toast, and banana pancake. The air conditioning worked well in the room. The pool was lovely with gorgeous views.

The pillows on the bed were so thick and firm - they were quite uncomfortable for sleeping. The steps to/from the property are a bit treacherous so be careful!
