incredible views and amazing swimming pool

all activities (massage, snorkeling, scooter rental, etc) were priced much higher than anywhere else so we had to explore and book elsewhere there was also some noise at night

The view was amazing

They mixed up our rooms. So they gave us a standard room while we booked a suite with view. They had to remove the other guests from our room. I asked to clean the room ofcourse again as the other guests used the facilities allready. We had to wait a long time to make use of our room. As we were there only for one night this felt as losing time a lot. We had to contact the hotel themselves to ask for a compensation. Nobody could give us the service at that time. When leaving on the day of departure we had to ask ourselves again. Nobody noticed at check out. At the and they gave use the compensation of using the transfer back by boat to Bali island.

The views from our garden villa suite were spectacular. We stayed 3 nights at the Acala, and woke up every morning to watch the sunrise from our terrace or from the infinity pool. It was extremely peaceful and mesmerising. The staff were very kind, always a smile on their faces and ready to assist. There were plants everywhere, so lush and green! The Acala is located on the East side, quite far from the hustle and bustle of Jungut Batu or Mushroom Bay, but it was exactly what we were after. We couldn't have picked a better place for our trip! Thank you!

The only thing that I'd recommend is earlier and later free shuttle transport to the other popular areas of the island. At the moment, drop off started at 10am and pick up (back to the hotel) was about 3pm. That doesn't give much time to explore the island.

The views over the water and sea were beautiful! The staff were very accommodating and happy to help with any issues or problems that might occur. The daily shuttle service was also very helpful especially getting you to your ferry on departure.

For my partner she struggled with having a more rustic experience with little critters appearing in the bathroom. But with an outdoor bathroom this is to be expected. The breakfast was ‘ok’ it’s nice to have so much available however I think it fell a bit flat.

This hotel is in the most incredible setting with the infinity pool looking out over the best view ever. Our room was lovely and spacious and had all the things we required. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful with any request. Their whatsapp service to ask questions/request things is a brilliant idea and worked so well. We rented a scooter from the hotel too which was easy and cheap. We use their shuttle service to and from the beach/boat (they forgot to be there on arrival but with one prompt they made it down to collect us with very little delay). There were lots of options and plenty portion wise for breakfast that is included with the booking.

The only thing that let this place down for us was the lack of vegan options for food- but there are so many options locally that it didn't matter too much, we just went out.

We absolutely loved out stay here, the view from the pool and our room were amazing, better than expected. It was so beautiful that my partner picked that exact spot on our front terrace watching the sunrise to propose to me! The pool was also so beautiful, with floating beenags overlooking an amazing view and can order drinks.. we honestly were in awe. Staff were all lovely and attentive. The rooms were devine, outdoor bathrooms and a modern, island feel, the way they are set up they feel more like villas. Would happily recommend this place and have done so to friends already!

The only downside is its further out and you cant walk anywhere, its a decent 10 minute bumpy drive from restaurants, beaches, etc. however it only cost $10 and can be organised through the hotel, most of the restaurants also have free drop off / pick up services. We ended up hiring a scooter for $10 a day. You have to be up there to get the beautiful views so the trip down was well worth it. Just be mindful this would not be suitable for elderly or people not good with stairs, there were steep stairs to get to and from the rooms, pool etc. (staff help carry bags)

I highly recommend the rooftop villa - perfect view and great size. The staff was helpful with booking the shuttle and trip to Nusa Penida. Breakfast was also good. I read comments about the roads and insects - this is standard in Nusa. We had no issue with the road and have seen only a limited number of insects.

The location is not ideal, but you can go quickly with a shuttle from the hotel - which is free until a particular hour, and after that, it is still available for a reasonable price.

The hotel offers the perfect location to gaze at the sunrise from the pool and restaurant as well as from individual villas. The villas are very well-maintained small cottages with adjoining outside bathrooms. The hotel offers a shuttle service three times a day, stopping at three locations on the island, and scooter hire. The breakfast was very good and there was a choice of about 15 different dishes. Breakfast included two dishes, a fruit selection, a juice and tea or coffee.

The music played in the restaurant and also at the pool was very one-sided and often repeated. The access road to the hotel was in a very bad condition. The Yellow Bridge was only a few minutes away, but there was no direct connection. So it takes 20 minutes on foot to get there.

- disorganized staff (the transfer back to main Bali was a catastrophe) - open/outside bathroom is a cute idea in concept but everything ends up getting wet if it rains and also there are naturally tons of mosquitoes and other creatures

The staff were amazing, super helpful and polite. 10/10 service! Their food are super tasty and they have such a beautiful sea view from the room! 🙌🏼 They have a lot of stairs going down from lobby to the rooms, I see that as a plus point because I am forced to walk more. 😅

The first time they checked me in. My room was so humid and there were huge molds patches on the wall. Needless to say, I was disappointed and reported to the front desk and immediately they changed my room.
