Beautiful eco resort middle of jungle. Decoration was amazing and everything was clean and pretty. Very good breakfast and menu aswell . Beautiful pool area. Friendly and helpful staff. Pretty rooms also.

The location was on top of the Nusa penida which was surprise for us. There was very foggy and also colder than in the shore. One night it was pouring rain and electricity went off. Also a lot of wildllife so be prepared to sleep under mosquito curtains. There was also many other insects and after raining some weird flying insects came inside the room and also to the bathroom as well. After that the hole room was full of their wings and it wasn't nice. And because of the location there was very humid and all clothes and sheets felt almost like wet.

A great physical retreat from hectic Bali. The room was so lovely, but the floor did need an extra clean, which was done immediately on my request. Staff are calm, friendly and attentive. The chef here is absolutely brilliant, with freshly grown produce used in every meal. The flavours achieved far exceeded expectations and recent experience of hotel food in Bali.

I would like The Mesare Resort to provide a valid recommendation of trusted dive operators on Nusa Penida. The referral they gave me did not connect/was out of date and the Mesare did not have an alternative. The dive shop I eventually picked was not a great experience.

My second stay at this property. If you like the nature and not bother you some Insekt or noise it's definitely a nice experience. Nusa Penida it's a very unique and nice Island with some gorgeous Beaches. The Pool it's nice. Food it's delicious. You can rent a scooter direkt at the property. I like very much this Hotel and i definitely come back again .

My wife & I stayed at this resort for 6 nights and it was a really great, memorable stay. The manager, resort & restaurant staff were so kind, friendly & couldn’t do enough for us. The huts were spacious & pleasant, being cleaned every day. The food was incredible! We loved the menu selection & it always came out fast, hot & good quality. The restaurant staff were very professional. A special shout out to Ayu Parwati, Jagad & Trisna who always had smiling faces & made us feel very welcome. Thank you so much- we hope to come back again one day!

Location is out of the way, but I you have a scooter and are comfortable riding the roads it's no problem. Otherwise their tours sound like a goer. The location is far from town, but it's quiet and is probably the best place to launch from to reach all attractions on the island.

The staff was super friendly, the food delicious and the place so tranquil and quiet. The location in the center of the island is excellent to explore all sides of the island.

The location is a bit removed from restaurants etc. but is central to the island so that none of the activities are as far away as if you'd stayed on one side of the island or the other. It is a big island and does require driving or scootering around. We rented a scooter. The roads are not great and can be busy with day tour traffic, but were in better condition than the roads on Nusa Lembongan. Be aware that google maps will happily send you down "roads" that are more like limestone goat tracks. The roads to/from the resort are fine but we did encounter these when scootering to attractions. The staff were really lovely, very helpful. Breakfast was great. Room was cleaned very well although there was evidence on two evenings of a rodent having visited the room between when it was cleaned and when we came back from dinner - no fault of the resort, I just think they would be impossible to keep out.

The pool had was not particularly clean. I initially thought that wasn't a big deal but my husband did some research and it can apparently be quite dangerous to your health to swim in a pool with algae, so we were not able to use the pool despite it being one of our main reasons for booking this resort.

If you want to have a calm retreat in a middle of jungle this place is just right for you. We were very happy with our stay for several things: - we could not come as planned on the first day due to food poisoning and we decided to stay one more night in Canggu, however the staff were very nice to make modifications of our reservation on the same day - very short notice - Shery was extremely helpful and pleasant. Everything we needed in Nusa Penida we booked through hotel and could not be more happier. We asked for a pick up from the harbor as well as the drop off afterwards, it was easily arranged and even gave some advises on the time. We also booked east and west tours suggested by the hotel and visited all the places we planned initially and some additional. Everything we asked was provided in an extremely efficient and pleasant manner - Our driver Putu was excellent from the very first trip (the pick up), later the tours and afterwards the drop off at the harbor. Nusa Penida is really dificult to drive for the tourists, unless you do not care for the time you will spend driving by yourself. Therefore we were extremely happy as we visited everything we wanted in a quick and safe manner and even managed to spare some time than it was planned originaly. Vardas was also very kind and nice, we got some additional information about the locals there - Balinese massage is nice. My husband and I tried it twice. Our suggestion would be, if the massage is going to take place later in the evening (8-9 p.m. in our case), schedule it directly in your room. Usually it is in an open space and in the evenings it might be chilly and less relaxing - Food in the restaurant is good. I especially enjoyed breakfast menu - Room was very clean and tidy. What I liked the most, even if the bathroom is open, there were no unpleasant living beings such as lizards or frogs. I could not say the same about other places we stayed

Resort was so beautiful and secluded from busy roads and traffic. if you’re looking somewhere to relax and unwind from everything this is the right place because it literally is middle of the island and not much attraction around the resort. Pool and restaurant were great and food and fresh juice were delicious, only problem for me personally was the internet connection and didn’t think about this much since it gave me an opportunity to focus on other things.

Even there were “no smoking” signs at the restaurant some of the other guests smoked. I hope they can monitor this better in the future.

Beautiful resort, in the middle of nature. The staff is very nice and professional. The rooms and facilities are great (bonus for the yoga platform). The Mesare was one of the best places we stayed during our 20 day trip to Bali.

The resort is a far from everything. In the middle of the islands and you need to drive at least 30min to each attraction. It's better if you have a scooter and are a good driver.. The food is a bit under compared to the rest of the services.

This was the highlight of our trip so far in Bali! The staff were amazing from the beginning. I was worried before I arrived that I was on a remote island and didn’t have much cash out, but they allow you to put everything on the room bill and pay with card. Organised transfers to and from the port for us which were great. I loved the restaurant, still thinking about the Pasta dish and chocolate cake I had there. Our servers Ayu and Jagat were so friendly and amazing. The huts were super cool and unique and had that slightly fancy feel despite being in the jungle. Pool was very well kept. I loved how eco-friendly the place was. Lastly, we booked the west side tour with them and it was great. The driver was very skilled and helpful, and showed us all the sights, even offering to take cute pictures of us. Only wish is that I stayed here longer.
