Run by the sweetest family, The Parnas turned into one of my most memorable stays during a lengthy trip across Bali. Excellent location, clean rooms, a very comfortable bed, beautiful territory covered in flowers, a delicious breakfast and a great pool to cool down in. I felt as close to home as that is possible.

Wayan and her family are the most wonderful hosts. We absolutely loved everything about our stay at The Parnas. From the moment we walked in and were welcomed we felt very much at home. Wayan greeted us and took time to ask us what we would like to do while on the Island. She suggested a snorkeling trip which was such an authentic experience with her uncle. We hired motorbikes for a couple of days enabling us to get to other beaches and eateries around other parts of the Island. There is a local spa just a 2 minute walk away with a restaurant opposite and a little shop to get water, snacks and local gifts. The balinese massage was a highlight., there are many treatments available aswell. The Parnas itself is a beautifully manicured garden setting with gorgeous traditional style cottages to stay in. The bed was very comfortable, everything was clean and everyday the room and bathroom was freshened up and water replaced. The pool offers plenty of day beds for lounging and was clear and clean. Each .morning we were treated to breakfast with other guests. Being vegan Wayan made us a special delicious breakfast of scrambled tofu. I'm going to miss that for sure. My husband loved the balinese coffee he's going to miss that. The breakfast menu is great offering a serving of fresh fruit, fresh juice, eggs anyway with bacon and ham and toast aswell as omelets and pancakes, there is slso a couple of Indonesian dishes. I've spent almost a month in Bali and this guest house has been by far the best place I've stayed in. This family really demonstrates how supportive a balinese family is. The couples parents were there every day, gardening, cooking, cleaning and taking care of there young son (who we adored) and grandad was our taxi driver on our last day. Wayan and her family have created something really special here by just being themselves and taking great care of their guests so naturally. This is a special place.

Our stay at The Parnas exceeded our expectations. It was conveniently located within walking distance from everything we needed, including the beach. There were several restaurants nearby as well as a high quality spa, where we enjoyed late afternoon massages. We were able to relax and simply enjoy the island because the host, Wayan, organised just about everything for us. She booked us ferry and taxi transfers, bicycles to get around, and a dive trip to Manta Point. (My partner is a PADI Instructor on the Great Barrier Reef and he loved it) The rooms were cleaned daily and the property itself is immaculate. Staying on Nusa Lembongan wasn't part of our original travel plans, yet it turned out to be our favourite part of the stay. We'll definitely be back!

So glad we chose the Parnas. We were made to feel very welcome from the get go by Wayan and her lovely family - nothing was too much trouble and Wayan was so very knowledgeable and helpful, recommending places for sightseeing and organising everything for us. The accommodation was typical of the area but really well set out detached wooden cottages with their own spacious inside/outside bathrooms which were spotlessly clean. The cottages are set in the most beautiful gardens which were lovingly tended daily by Wayan’s mother. The accommodation was on a bed and breakfast basis and we were provided with a daily menu from which to choose - everything from omelettes to Nasi goreng, beautifully cooked by Wayan who was an expert on poached eggs. There was also a lovely swimming pool to cool off in after a long day of sightseeing or to merely just chill and read whilst taking a Bintang if you chose to. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it for another 3 nights. I don’t think we spoke to a single guest who didn’t love the place and wish they were also staying for longer. Cannot recommend highly enough - 5* - thank you to everyone at the Parnas we will miss you .

Highly recommend. I had such an awesome stay here, the family make everything so easy, comfortable and inviting. Rooms are great, strong air con, mosquito proof, I absolutely LOVED the outdoor bathroom and showering under the stars, bed was super comfy and the pool was awesome. Waym speaks english incredibly well which is really helpful in terms of getting help organising things, but is also lovely if you're interested in asking questions about culture and traditions. Great location, can scoot to Mushroom Bay in 3 mins but you're out of the way of the noise etc. Would be a good spot for a long-term digi nomads stay. Can't wait to come back :) thank you Waym!!

There was nothing I didn't like

I had a lively stay at the Parnas. The hosts were lovely, arranged to pick me up when my boat arrived, no question was too much trouble. The bungalows are beautiful and the green surroundings very peaceful. They also helped me with getting tickets to travel on to Nusa Penida and dropped me off at the harbour. Breakfast was excellent. I felt very cared for throughout the stay!

Wow.. What a hidden gem The Parnas is... Thank you for a fabulous stay.. Wayan and her family are the best hostesses... Super friendly and very helpful.. Location is great..many places to walk to.. Or hire a bike or scooter straight from them. The rooms are amazing..and the decor was 👌.. with all the extras..Great plugs/lights placed around the room..kettle n coffee/tea.. fridge outdoor bathroom even toothbrushes if you needed. . Nothing was missing.. The breakfast was cooked with love and delicious with a good selection The bed was beautiful with mossie net and was the best I've slept in on my entire trip.. Great balcony to enjoy the fabulous gardens that are kept prestine.. the pool was great to come back to after a day out. Loved every part of my stay.. Thank you again.. I will be back for sure.. ❤️

we had a wonderful stay at the Parnas. the family running the place is wonderful and they go above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay. they recommended us a great diving trip, helped us to get scooter and organised us transport to Nusa Penida on the last day. the room is lovely, with a great bed. plugs next to the bed so you can charge your phone. internet connection was ok, we were able to work from the room. we also loved the location, close to dream beach, sunset point and mushroom beach. we can’t wait to be back!

We loved it! The garden was so green and taken care off, the room was incredible clean, the shower and bathroom were soooo nice, one of the best bed I’ve stayed in, super airco(!), swimming pool nice and relaxing and Wayan and her family soooo friendly!! You could tell that they want everything to be perfect! We rented a scooter, she arranged us the boat tickets and transportation from and to the boat. Breakfast is very nice! Everything is close by, great restaurants ( sushi and incredible seafood on the left, others on the right!), sunset bar is a 3 minute walk, beaches close by! It takes about 10-15 min to get to the north with the scooter. But we loved the area were we stayed more :)

The location was ideal for us. Close to 2 beautiful beaches that the kids had fun at. The owners were very welcoming and helped with setting up a couple of tours we needed. Even got us some bicycles that we planned on using but had to cancel unexpectedly and they did not charge us for it. Simply said they'd return them. My wife has a gluten issue, so they even let her cook her own breakfast!

If you don't have a scooter or ride, it can be tough walking around after dark, as too few street lights.
