The building still looks new and well taken care of. The design choices and colours were inspirational. Room layout was excellent and love how the space was used in a smart way. Buffet breakfast had so much selection for Asian diet. Not as much options for Western food though. Location is handy close to many amenities. Late checkout till 1pm was highly appreciated too. Free parking under the hotel was also convenient. Welcome drink at the Atmosphere lounge was a nice touch too.

Room we stayed in smelt like cigarette even though it was non smoking. We had cleaner spray the room again but unfortunately the smell lingered Wish there was a higher divider that covered the toilet area and sink. And staff started cleaning the breakfast area before 10 minutes before 10am and so I didn't know some of the names of the food offered. Felt almost like I was being ushered to finish the breakfast quickly. Pool area only had outdoor showers and so it wasn't comfortable showering there when there are so many rooms that look onto the pool area.

The location in downtown Padang, the airy and spacious lobby, the breakfast spread (generally not the same from the previous day), the bathroom, toilet, the sky lounge was pretty. Generous amount of bottled drinking water provided in the room and replenished daily

The idea of not having a cupboard - having hangers and therefore seeing your clothes hanging & exposed is not a pretty sight. A hotel of this class should not have this arrangement because the room is reasonably big enough to fit in an enclosure which would have hidden the clothes on the hanger

For the area and other properties Santika is a beautiful hotel. Well appointed and refreshing to arrive at. The rooms were good size and the bed was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast had great options and delicious. As always the team was gracious and helpful.

The sitting area in the suites was a little awkward along with the slab floor in the rooms made it a bit cold but not uncomfortable. The rooms were well air conditioned but stepping out into hallway you were hit with the heat and humidity. Also, need to work on BBQ night.

The staff service and genuine politeness were wonderful from start to finish. They always helped me when needed, and I never once felt neglected. The breakfast is amazing with so many options from Western to Asian cuisine. Great coffee and excellent service too. Housekeeping was always available and offered me water even if I didn't need cleaning service. The hotel felt like a 5 star property and the views were beautiful while enjoying meals. I will always stay here when I'm in Padang!

I cannot think of any room for improvement. Great hotel!

Breakfast fantastic 10/10 Staff that changed bed sheets were great especially Riski helped me and my partner and went above and beyond 11/10 for him. Good evacuation protocol and concern for peoples safety during the earthquake and the tsunami warning after the earthquake. Hotel been amazing, especially the parking for bikes and the place to order food. Security staff have been great and looked out for our safety whilst dealing with taxi drivers or food deliveries. Overall it has been the best hotel I have ever experienced!

Having to leave that wonderful hotel and return back to England.

I like this place and it's so nice that we had to stay here twice

Only downside is the behaviour of some of the guests which can get a bit tiring. Overloaded plates at buffet, impolite behaviour at pool, pushing in queues waiting for an omelette, lack of courtesy and respect when speaking to staff. Simple things like a please or thank you from the staff when asking for things.

Breakfast was top class, rooftop restaurant was good, beautiful setting, great facilities.

Nothing really. I paid a little more than I wanted to as I booked a more expensive room without realizing it through booking.com but compared to a similar hotel in the US it was not over priced.

the foods are variative and delicious

Location - near to restaurants, cafes. Breakfast - Variety of Indonesian cuisine with a bit mix of western dishes. Room - Comfy and clean Staff - Super friendly and helpful Facilities - Acceptable

I stay in Tower 2 @ 9th floor. The floor was too noisy with people banging the door especially at night. It seems there's a group of Indonesian people staying in several rooms. You can hear them talking from your room, so I presume the room is not sound proof.

Enjoyed almost every aspect of our stay Bed comfortable Staff very kind Everyone pleasant and happy to deal with

Worst part of the experience was the behaviour of some of the other guests at breakfast who overloaded their plates and wasted a heap of food
