Griya Santrian a Beach Resort

A lovely resort, full of Balinese charm, with beautiful gardens and perfectly located on the beach within reach of plenty of good restaurants. The 3 pools and beachside were well kept, our room was great and service was wonderful. Thank you for another excellent holiday Team Griya Santrian. We loved it.

Music at the beachside pool was repetitive, a little annoying and occasionally much too loud. It would have been nice to have no music for a couple of hours each day. The other pools were nice and quiet, but it was often hard to find a free sunbed due to some guests reserving with their towels first thing, then disappearing for hours.

Allowing smokers to smoke in common areas which are used by non-smoking guests. Should have out of the way designated smoking areas.

Great location on the beach. Pools were excellent and having mutliple meant they weren't overcrowded. Staff were amazing. Close to plenty of restaurants within walking distance (both street and beach) if you don't feel like dining at the resort. Property itself is a beautiful piece of paradise.

Rooms felt like they needed something more. It is such a large space that it could have used a sofa and mat to make it more comfortable and welcoming. Soft furnishings in the rooms would also dampen noise from other rooms (chairs being dragged around) Breakfast was a bit hit and miss and they only had one 2 slice toaster available which meant if you wanted toast, be prepared to wait. As a personal preference, we found Sanur too quiet. Market stall holders in the area can also be quite agressive to the point of pulling you into the maze of stores and becoming angry if you don't buy from them

Breakfast was good, a variety of dishes to choose from and the staff were friendly and accommodating

There was nothing I didn’t like about the hotel. I was very disappointed in booking.com increasing the agreed price 2 days prior to my stay. I had always assumed the price booked was the agreed price. Not a lot of help from them but the hotel gave us a room upgrade to compensate

The location of Griya Santrian on the beach makes for a relaxing holiday. The extension of beach walkway along the beachfront is now almost complete and makes walking or cycling very enjoyable. The pools are clean and grounds well maintained. The staff are excellent and our room was very clean and comfortable. We will be back.

Guest who leave towels on chairs for hours preventing other guests to use them

What a fabulous resort. My partner and I loved everything about our stay. It was so relaxing. The food in the restaurant was incredible and the staff within the hotel were very friendly and accomodating. The pool and gardens were superb. We enjoyed the esplanade and hired electric bikes to check out the rest of the surrounding. Sanua is a quieter part of Bali, so if you’re into partying you should stick to Kuta/Legian/Seminyak. We will definitely be going back. If you love relaxing and eating and drinking all day then this is right for you, the pool is one you can lay by all day long.

Love the location, the staff is so beautiful, kind and just lovely. The hotel is a small hotel with only 128 rooms, it has a garden in the middle and it's really quiet. We loved the home feel of the hotel and the beach is beautiful. The staff really takes care of the beach, hotel and all the amenities so it's always clean and looked after. The spa is great and the ladies are just amazing.

The food in the main restaurant is good but needs a bit of refreshing with more healthy choice options, buffet breakfast offered a lot of options but not a lot of healthy options. All the food is with a lot of sugar. Also the rooms are a bit dated, the bathroom could be renovated. The rooms could be really lovely with lighter colours like the spa they have but otherwise its great.

Big resort in the middle of Sanur. Facilities are good, with private beach and nice pool. Rooms are very clean. Towel service. Extensive breakfast buffet.

The resort is supposed to be environmentally friendly, but uses a lot of plastic bottles, and paper letters for information in your room. Recommend refillable glass bottles in the room. And no more “welcoming and goodbye letters”. Many guests “occupy” sun beds for the day (with their towels), without actually using the beds. Its hotel policy to remove the towels, but never done so, therefore challenging to find available pool beds.

Love the fantastic location of this resort! Right on the beach and in a great part of Sanur in the north. Beautiful pools and immaculate grounds! We stayed in one of the Deluxe Rooms closest to the beach which had the biggest bed I’d ever seen! Buffet breakfast was great! Lots of choices (and they even had Vegemite for my partner!).

The vanity was quite dated and when you turned the tap on it sprayed all over the place! On the day of arrival, we had no towels put in our room and had to ask 4 times for them to be delivered. Would also be great if there were some USB ports installed to charge up devices. Didn’t like how most of the sun lounges are already taken by breakfast. People reserving them from the morning but not actually using them till later in the afternoon. Would be great if there were some amenities (shampoo/conditioner, soap etc) in the bathrooms near the lobby for those with late check out who need to use them when leaving later in the day!

First stayed here in 1980! Still love the Balinese architecture and beautiful well-tended gardens. The 3 pools were well maintained. We thought the breakfast buffet provided a good variety. The ‘egg’ man was excellent and well organised, cooking to order and amazingly always remembered our requests. All staff were helpful and friendly.

The only power point that was easily accessible was in the bathroom (had to boil kettle beside the toilet). We needed to pull out the TV cabinet from the wall to access more power points to charge devices. Towel racks to dry swimming clothes would have been helpful.
