Beautiful resort, absolutely fantastic staff and outstandingly delicious food - highly recommend! From welcome drink, fruit and massage to Balinese 4-course dinner with traditional dance, over to morning yoga or a relaxed day by the pool with happy hour - we were taken care of around the clock. The hotel also offers a shuttle to Ubud at various times during the day. Beware: For solo travellers or couples, a scooter might be more convenient and much faster, since traffic can be very heavy.

The toilet could use a little more privacy (a door would be nice) ;) and a water refill station would be handy. The staff at the restaurant however did fill up personal bottles at request.

The Wakanda was the oasis of tranquility I was searching for. The room was gorgeous and had everything I needed, including an incredible stone bath. The pool is clean and the view from it is stunning. The food was amazing and there were plenty of vegetarian options, especially as the chef was able to adapt some dishes that weren’t labelled vegetarian on the menu. The spa treatment I had with Ria was divine. I loved the waterfall trek so much I did it twice: once with Ogi, who taught me a lot about life in Bali, and once with Aris, who helped take amazing photos. The free yoga classes were the perfect was to start a relaxing day. All of the staff were warm, friendly, and happy to help with anything I needed during my stay. 100% recommended to anyone needing to escape reality for a while! If you’re there on a Tuesday, make sure you join the cultural dinner.

The room had a slight damp smell, but that is typical for the climate.

The people are the best feature of this resort, but of course the ambiance, surroundings are stunning too! surrounded by paddy fields, away from the main streets, perfect for retreat and a break from the buzz. my husband and I really enjoyed the hospitality, especially from Adi (receptionist) and Dodil ( shuttle driver). Adi has been so kind to fulfill our request and responsive as well! We particularly enjoyed dodil’s explaination of the culture of bali and the conversations as we travel back in the shuttle. (oh yesss, if you’re worried about the distance from the hotel to city center, there’s a free shuttle available!) which was a pleasant surprise for us! Overall really memorable and great stay!

the design of the property was beautiful it felt super connected to the nature surrounding it and incorporated it. the room was so comfortable and clean the bath with the view over the rice field was such a bonus and felt so luxurious. the staff were amazing specifically- satria, Mia, aris and sumer!! They couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating if they tried it truly elevated our experience! We did the cooking class while we were there and it was such a great experience we got to understand the local food and grow such an appreciation for the ingredients from the chefs clear passion - we laughed a lot and the food turned out great! They even provide a free shuttle into central Ubud which is such a nice touch and made it even more stress free :)

Staff were super attentive and friendly. The resort is super clean and well maintained. Free bike rental was nice to see the village and the view over the pool into the rice fields was amazing. Room was spacious and the bathtub was excellent! Breakfast was generous and good :)

Only a few things, but nothing to do with the staff or service. The design of the rooms means that on the lower floor you can hear your neighbours and your neighbour’s bathroom / pipes very very clearly. For us unfortunately this disturbed what could have been a romantic/peaceful retreat setting. Location is quite far of Ubud (more like 45 mins with the traffic). Last thing- there is no door separating the bedroom from the shower and toilet area.

The choice of the hotel was not wrong. I have been to Bali three times before with friends. This was my fourth visit with my wife for our honeymoon. I wanted to find a new place for myself and my wife, so I spent time looking for hotels. I finally chose this hotel for 3 nights and 4 days. Amazing service.  The cleanliness of the hotel, the service, the quality of breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the room arrangements, wifi, the hospitality of the hotel staff, and many other good things aside, the surrounding silence is our favorite. The view of the pool is also my favorite. Having the "floating breakfast," one of Bali's signatures, made me fully feel the vibe of Bali. I would like to recommend it as one of the best hotels for couples. The width of the 360-degree rice field is also beautiful. It also makes it convenient to go to Ubud Center by scooter for about 15 minutes. You can also take the ferry from the hotel. I would like to recommend it as the best place for couples who want to experience the full taste of luxury.

No negative comments

The room itself was pleasant and situated in a favorable location. The availability of a free shuttle service to the city center, providing both pick-up and drop-off, was incredibly convenient. I thoroughly enjoyed participating in the complimentary morning yoga class. On our wedding anniversary, the team went above and beyond by arranging towel arrangements, adding flowers to the bathtub, and surprising us with a complimentary photoshoot session, including one free photo as a keepsake.

There are a few areas that could be improved. The breakfast quality was subpar and could benefit from enhancements. It would also be preferable to have a glass door separating the WC from the shower area in the room for improved hygiene. Additionally, there were concerns regarding pest control, as we encountered numerous insects on the porch and even had a large lizard enter the room. The staff had to employ specific tools to safely capture and remove the lizard.

A wonderful location to have a relaxing holiday with a beautiful setting near the rice terraces, fantastic spa facilities and various breakfast options. The rooms are spacious and very luxurious. And the bonus is the free 15 minutes massage of your choice and a free photo by a professional photographer! The location is far from the centre of Ubud due to the traffic which is everywhere in this area. But still the hotel offered free shuttle services and could arrange private taxis for us.

The facilities were great. This would be perfect for a couple. I stayed solo. The room was lovely. I also did a cooking class and that was amazing! The staff were extremely friendly during the cooking class and the staff in the restaurant definitely made me feel welcome. The bath was definitely the highlight as well as the cocktails. The breakfast was beautiful too and there was plenty of options.

Too far from anything else but it’s perfect if you want to stay at the resort and enjoy the resort. There is a free shuttle to the centre.

Staff was extremely friendly and almost overly courteous. Breakfast was really good. Smoothie bowls and traditional Indonesisan breakfasts were our favorite. Balianese coffee is fine but it is unfiltered. Espresso drinks were quite good. The property was generally well kept and its location away from Ubud and on a rice field was really quite nice. Shuttle into Ubud runs a few times daily and can save you money, although local drivers are very eager for work and happy to take you as well. A small maintenance request was fixed in a very timely manner. Communication through Whatsapp was simple and effective.

Pool cleaning was inconsistent. There was a small miscommunication regarding the times of the shuttle/how the shuttle works. It's best to notify staff well in advance if you would like to use it.
