Bed was comfortable. Great swimming pool. Very friendly housekeeping stuff.

Unfortunately the air conditioning in my room was very loud. The air conditioning unit was very old. No remote control available. I have to always stand up to adjust the temperature. I could even hear the one from the next door when mine was off resulting to a non-peaceful sleep and few headaches. No microwave in the room, when I asked for it, they said it will cost me 10$ per night. They don’t have any microwaves in the facility. The only one available was the one in the stuff room but can’t be used by client. My room door was a pain to open, it gets stuck and needed to be pushed hard to open.

We had an excellent stay at Ruby Foo's hotel. The rooms were very clean and the sheets and towels were replaced every day. The beds were very comfortable and had goosedown pillows and comforters. There were also nice bathrobes provided for each of us. The pool was so clean and warm and it was a quiet and peaceful place to relax. We did not experience any negative issues as described in the other reviews of this hotel. We felt very safe and well taken care of. We would most definitely stay here again on our next trip to Montreal.

Pool hours should be extended, as it's a very nice place to relax!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this location. The private parking was a definite plus, and the receptionist's friendly attitude during check-in was much appreciated. The room itself was exceptionally spacious, with a generously sized bed. Moreover, both the room and the washroom were immaculately clean. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this place to others.

The room left something to be desired, as the furniture appeared quite outdated. In particular, the closet was showing signs of wear and tear, with a faulty and damaged door. Additionally, the elevator seemed to require some maintenance to ensure smooth operation. To top it off, there was no hand soap provided in my room.

The room was very cozy and soundproof. Location was great for food.

No bars of soap. One small bottle of shower gel for two staying for 2 nights. Had to ask for extra.

I like that its close to downtown. And staff if nice. The area is clean. The room not so much.

When we arrive the housekeeping manager was just going into our room to check if its cleaned properly and she said its okay. We have arrived passed the arrival time bc we went downtown. But not even minutes into the room the toilet is dirty, has used tissues and unflushed business waiting for us. Then when we asked for towels, it has stains. The tub was draining very slowly which cause to have bath water while showering. They dont have toothbrush when I asked which is very strange. The staff was very nice to offer maintenance.

I had a signature room. The bedding was of very high quality from sheets to pillows, comforter and mattress. The room and bathroom was fully updated and provided all needed amenities. There is lots of free parking. The pool is very well maintained and private.

The restaurant and the hotel do not have a deal so there is no room service. For the price it is understandable but frustrating. I would have been willing to pay a $5 delivery fee to the restaurant to have room service rather than going down, ordering, waiting, and bringing it back to my room in to go containers including the wine in a cardboard cup.

It's a decent hotel in a decent location. It's located outside of downtown Montreal/Old Port but it is a 5 minute walk to Namur Station which will connect you downtown quickly. The hotel is a little dated but overall decently maintained. The room was spacious, clean and cosy. The pool was fine too. I think it is underrated because it is dated. The price is fair for what you get, in comparison to what you see in the city.

On the day of checkout, we saw glass in one of the parking spots close to us - it leaves us wondering if there was a break in. The hotel provides free and ample parking which we are appreciative but free means security is lacking. So my advice is for visitors to remove all valuables from your car and check from time to time. Also the hotel should really check the lamps and other electronics in the room before guest checks in - our table lamp didn't work - it was necessary for a dimly lit room. Also note to other guest that the a/c is old and is loud but that didn't bother us as it became white noise.

Room was very nice, bed was comfortable and the location was and is fantastic.

Checking out. Because of my method of payment which has always been the same, as I've stayed here at this location many times. The receptionist had to physically go check my room to make sure there was no damage. I had even told her the cleaning lady was in the room next door why couldn't she just call like I've seen other hotel's do? It took 20mins just to wait to check out. That i believe is unacceptable. Other than that it was fantastic.

Beautiful room overall. Easy wifi. Helpful staff. Perfect location.

Hard to navigate TV when there’s no guide to show me what was on each channel. My shower didn’t drain properly so I had to stand in my own filth. The fridge froze my drinks. Really missed having room service. Pool should have been open past 8pm. I didn’t like that people were eating at the restaurant right beside where I was swimming. It was a bit awkward being so close so I stayed in the shallow end. Add a soap dispenser to the showers by the pool.

I was pleasantly surprised by the overall stay at this hotel. It is a very longstanding and iconic place in Montreal and is unique. Although it is tired in places our room had been renovated and was excellent. It was large with an exceptionally comfortable bed and a large bathroom. It was clean and although we were told that there was reduced housekeeping the bathroom was cleaned everyday and the whole room a couple of times during our 8 day stay. The room was well equipped and surprising quiet considering that the hotel is next to the expressway. There are two restaurants on site one of which is excellent for breakfast. Although the hotel was busy it never felt crowded or noisy. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Slightly better coffee/tea set up in room. Could only really make espresso. No need to change the towels every day, might be good to move to a system where towels on the floor or bathtub mean change them. This would be more eco friendly. Also found they threw the soap out every day and replaced it which again was wasteful.
