The location and the view was unbelievable. We could see the Temple of Hera in the Valley of the Temples from our room. We weren't sure what to expect with a Private pool, but it was a nice feature where we could take a quick swim and enjoy the fabulous view with out leaving the room. All of the staff were extraordinarily helpful, from the check in with Alberto, the wait staff, and even the porter who drove us and our bags up to the car on departure.

Breakfast was a little disappointing in the variety and quality offered at such a nice facility, but the staff was quick to keep the coffee cups filled. The restaurant was great for one night, but did not really offer enough variety for more than a short stay.

The hotel is set on a hillside with a spectacular view on the valley, including Valley of Temples. The view could be enjoyed from our room, poolside and restaurant. The pool is lovely and has a swim up bar. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Italy. Everything from cereal, fruit, through cheeses, cold meats, eggs to pancakes and home made pistachio granita.

The restaurant although serves delicious food, cooked with locally sourced ingredients, is a bit overpriced. The food portions, especially of the secondi piatti dishes don't reflect the prices.

Unbelievable. Wonderful. Extraordinary. We had a suite with a private pool and a view of one of the ancient temples. Between visits to the historical sights, we made frequent use of the pool to cool down and to enjoy both the view and the immersion in the natural surroundings. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. In particular, one of the front desk staff — the man with round glasses whose name I have sadly forgotten — is a prince: helping us arrange transport from Catania to Taormina (at a good price, no less), arranging charging of an electric car, and more. We had a wonderful stay and strongly recommend the Doric Boutique Hotel.

One thing to note: they take being green quite seriously. For example, they strongly discourage flushing even toilet paper, providing a water sprayer and hose instead, which was … rather surprising to these American tourists.

Modern and clean with spectacular views the Doric is enchanting. The whole property is breathtaking...beautifully maintained gardens, comfortable and well designed rooms, an incredible restaurant. The website pictures and information did not do it justice. It is the staff, though, that really helped make our stay so special. They clearly take tremendous pride in the Doric (as they should!)--the chef, the gardeners, the service staff, reception---all seemed happy and eager to make our stay special from the warm welcome, to help navigating the attractions, impromptu tours of the gardens, preparing fresh carrot juice with breakfast, and creating delicious and beautiful food in their restaurant. I will always remember their kindness and warmth. Thank you all!!

Having to leave

Pretty much everything. The staff was very thoughtful as my wife is gluten intolerant. They even made her a gluten free mini cake during breakfast for her birthday out of their own will. The room with private pool are extremely awesome. The private pool was completely private, only open window was with view on the valley of temples

As expected for a 5* hotel, the restaurant did its best to prepare overcomplicated small meals/courses, while I had to fill my belly with "cover charge /couvert" bread.

The setting, the location, the views. The minute we walked into the reception we were awe struck by the floor to ceiling glass windows and balcony over looking the Valley of the Temples. The staff was extremely kind and attentive, the amenities and decor was first class in every way. The owner and his wife live on the property and welcome you to their home. Three generations have cared for this property. The hotel rooms are surrounded by the family’s organic pistachio and almond orchard. The restaurant and chef is award winning. We enjoyed some of the best food in Sicily here at the Doric Boutique Hotel.

Only thing was our GPS has trouble finding the address. The hotel sent us the exact coordinates which was helpful.

Very luxurious and well appointed room with a private pool. The view from the property of the Temples at the Valley of the Temples was amazing. Great country hotel with excellent facilities and efficient and friendly staff. Salvatore in the restaurant is to be commended for his attentive service.

Approach road to the hotel is in need of repair. Better signage at the junction with the main road would also be very useful

Amazing view from the swimming pool, not to mention the view from the mini jacuzzi pool that was part of our room. Staff were very helpful and friendly and food from breakfast to dinner was great. We liked sitting at pool bar drinking cocktails (and eating the little aranchini and snacks that came with them) and chatting with other guests. There was a good little baggage buggy too which carried bags, and people if required, between the car parking and the rooms. It's not a budget place to stay but we really enjoyed our couple of nights of indulgence there.

Where to begin, this is by far the best hotel in Agrigento, worth every penny. The service is exceptional (grazie Christian, Salvatore, and the entire team!) The view and rooms will take your breath away, all attentions are on point and the pool bar service and evening dining exceeds expectations, thank you 🙏

Great proximity to the Valley of the Temples. Beautiful pool and views. Great breakfast. Staff was pleasant.

We had the ‘Standard’ room. Can’t have more than 1 person in the bathroom at time. The window covering looking out was a joke, everyone at the pool can see into the room. Too much upselling for everything.
