When reading the reviews, I suggest to keep in mind two things: 1)the resort is located in a national park, 2)the total capacity of the entire resort is 3000 people. The room was clean and we had daily cleaning, the mattress was very comfy, aircon worked flawlessly and wasn't noisy, we had wi-fi at all times in our room (a couple of times when I'm guessing more guests arrived and the nr of IP addresses was exhausted, we had some waiting time to get wifi until someone disconnects - having said that, we alone had 4 devices on us), although sometimes we would have no signal. The resort itself is beautiful and well kept, and large. There are several beaches (rocky and sandy), you can take kayaks and SUPs for free, there were enough loungers when we were there (the resort was not fully booked though). There is an excursion point where you can book tours (e.g. we booked a motorboat for a day to go along the coast, fantastic experience), and it's also possible to rent bikes and scooters. There is a daily tour around the national park (including the animals), and once per week there is an evening dedicated to Sardinian culture and cuisine. Tennis and other activities are available. I am sure there is plenty more available, just ask at the reception. Staff are absolutely amazing! Helpful, trying to resolve anything you ask for. To address some negative comments I've read online: -cleanliness of the resort - please be mindful that you are in a national park, not relaxing on a manicured lawn. Yes, there will be leaves here and there, hello, that is normal. I was more amazed with how tidy and clean it was, I can't imagine the work being put into it every day to keep it so neat. -ants everywhere. there are ants, but not in any bothersome numbers, and they are attracted by food. we left a pizza box on the floor one day, don't do that, this is how you get ants. they cleared up as soon as we threw the food away.
Did not like the food. Breakfast buffet is very limited and the ingredients are cheap, you can taste that it's low quality. Didn't dine here, but took a peak one evening at the dinner - didn't look good, once again cheap and not really local. There is a pizza restaurant on the premises though, they make great pizza, also available for take out. Second thing - transportation to Arbatax is not easy or cheap. Resort has a shuttle but it is fully booked, and I think they should organize additional shuttles then. We were lucky to find another couple going to Olbia same day as we did, so we booked a private shuttle together (280 in total).

The resort is fairy-tale like! The staff was truly lovely, friendly and always in a good mood. Once you arrive, you are picked up and escorted to your room. It is a large resort so it definitely means lots of walking. But, there is a bus which you can take to bring you to the points you want to go. However, we loved walking, especially in the park Bellavista. Due to the change of the staff which recently happened, the food quality improved. It was very delicious and both, breakfast and dinner, offered a variety of options for all tastes. I would definitely come back one more time.
The rooms in Dune require a bit of renovation but when you look at the whole picture more closely, it is a huge huge resort and taking care of it requires a lot of time and a lot of financial means, which is definitely challenging and needs to happen gradually.

We liked the room we had with the view. Easy access directly to the beach with umbrellas and bar was excellent. The ocean was beautiful and clear water. The amenities were great even if a little old.
Very hard to get to the car and come and go from the property which was very big in size so it was too far to walk the whole way. The only way to get around the property was a hop on hop off bus that ran every half an hour. It also felt like the staff wanted to keep you inside the resort and not go outside to see and experience the whole area of Arbatax. Very little information was shared about Arbatax itself. The food was average for the price. Very over priced ala carte restaurant inside the resort. Having to wear wrist bands the whole time you were made you feel like you were at school camp. We didn't wear ours all the time. Only for when we had to eat as they were very strict about it.

Very beautiful place! Water is clear, with beautiful fishes, you can find sand beaches or rock beaches and all of them are amazing and clean. I need to say that personal is very friendly and nice! Special thanks to reception service for being nice and helpful, «Dune» manager a very nice Woman🤍 every day we had a clean service at the room with new towels. Dinners was delicious and various, a lot of meat, fish and seafood (but it also a loot of vegetables and fruits)
Firstly I found a Parking place too far from my room, but it is a huge resort and they have a bus every 30 min so with a time it was not a big problem. Breakfast can be more various but you can find everything what you need for normal breakfast and they have very tasty coffee.

The resort is amazing and very large. The resort is so large they have a bus to transport you around if needed. The private beaches are beautiful and there are water activities there as well!
There wasn’t much we didn’t like. The resort is really beautiful and had friendly staff. The only thing (that I found even consider negative) is you have to have the desire to stay on the resort. The resort is so large if you want to leave you have to wait for the bus to take you to your vehicle. It’s hard to explore more of the island of Sardegna because of the size and location.

It was our honeymoon trip and that was the best place to be! Barbara helped us so much! And we really loved our room in Dunes area! Amazing views, amazing territory, beautiful beaches and we noticed that its very cool place for families and kids, because it feels safe there. Another thing that we loved that there were many activities like paddle/tennis, we made hiking (area is huge with lots of plants and blossoming flowers), we played with animals, went to spa and enjoyed our boat trip to the most stunning areas of the island. The stuff was very friendly. Thanks for our unforgettable stay!!!
Nothing to complain 🫶 First I was questioning why we can’t go with a car to our house… but next day i realized it was for better purposes. There is a car parking close to the main gates and then when we made check in, the driver took us with a golf car to our house. It is super nice they do this and avoid cars going around the resort. And they helped us at night with all our luggages 🙏🏻 We really felt that its the place where they care for the guests.

We had the most amazing week in Arbatax Resort - The Dune, it was the first stop on our honeymoon and we loved every second of it. The service we got is the best I've had out of all hotels/resorts I've ever been to, they booked everything what we wanted to do for us, boat tours, renting a boat for a day, spa, massage etc. Kayaks and paddle boards are free to use. Staff was super kind and helpful and we have mention Barbara in that sentence, she was definitely the person who made our stay extra awesome! Thank you so much!

It was a beautiful resort in a private peninsula with a gorgeous nature, wild animals, coves and sea where you can definitely do snorkeling and see a lot of fish. Free canoe equipment was surprising in a positive way. There was also a possibility to rent a private boat to see the gorgeous coves nearby. Our room and especially its sea view was breathtaking! We enjoyed our time overall!
Our aim was actually to rest in the hotel all times, but there was just one a la carte restaurant and it was not that good which is a shame. Because for a high standard hotel we were expecting also high quality food. So after eating 3 days in the same place we decided to eat outside, but reaching the parking or outside was also not that easy since the residence area was quite big. So we lost every time a lot of time.

Location and the site are great. The ways are relatively short and the beach is great to swim. The room was very nice and clean.
The offer at the buffet for dinner is very poor. Half of the food was cold and was not worth it for €40,- per person. Better to go for the Pizzeria or Casa de la Pecorino. Also the selection for breakfast was poor. Much better in Borgo, which is the other resort in Arbatax.

The Dune area of the Arbatax Park Resort in Sardinia is a fantastic destination. The natural beauty is stunning, with breathtaking landscapes and a private beach that offers a serene escape. The accommodations are comfortable and well-maintained, and the staff is welcoming and attentive to guests' needs. The cuisine features a delicious array of traditional Sardinian dishes. I highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in the beautiful Sardinian setting.
