We spent 5 nights in downtown Asti as our base in the Piedmonte wine area. The B&B was located with easy access to both historic Asti and to roads that took us out of town quickly and easily to the Autostrada to explore the area. There was very convenient and secure paid parking right under the facility (Price very reasonable). Hard-working Guido, the facility manager, whose family owned the properties for many years was wonderful and so helpful. He helped with restaurant reservations and all kinds of information about Asti and general information and we really enjoyed talking with him. We had a 2nd floor accommodation that included an in-suite bathroom, queen bed and studio kitchenette all with ceramic tile floors. The breakfast facility was across the street in another part of the property and served a large array of foods, fruit, meats, eggs, breads and sweet. The price of the facility was very good for being in the city and it was in easy walking distance to the activities in the historic part of the city. The WiFi worked perfectly. We highly recommend this B&B. We Enjoy B&Bs because of their diverse accommodations compared to standard, cold hotels, and the great people we get to meet. We highly recommend this B&B.

Right from our arrival we enjoyed helpful attention from the personable staff in this family-owned guest accommodation on the edge of the historic centre of Asti. We were given helpful recommendations for informal dining in the town, provided with directions on the city map and assisted with parking. The bedrooms and breakfast room are delightfully decorated. Access areas feature a fascinating series of family photographs and there are furniture and knick-knacks collected by the family in the rooms. The breakfast is really special and caters for all tastes - including delicious warm brioche ( thank you, Guido)!

There was construction work underway in the courtyard. This reduced the available parking spaces and also caused loud noise. It could not be helped and was explained by management, who did their best to minimise inconvenience

We did not expect much but the whole place was so in character - warm, Italian hospitality and comfort! We were charmed from the first minute of arrival till when we left the next morning. The room was big, decorated with beautiful old furniture. It truly is a home away from home. Breakfast the next morning was exceptional - great spread of fresh fruit, all sorts of baked goods, juice, teas and coffees etc. Location was perfect to walk into the old city centre and the also had an indoor / gated parking.

If you are looking for a modern vibe, then this is not the place for you. However, if you want authentic Italian "old" decor and charm, then this is definitely the place to experience it.

We are really very enthousiastic about our stay at Fabbrica d'Oro in Asti. Our host was as efficient as welcoming (very!) and we stayed in a room straight out of a romantic dream. It is aptly called La Romantica and really beautiful. Our host collects all sorts of wonderful things, which are displayed all over the Fabbrica: playingcards, watches, telephones, toys, puppets, a wonderful spectacle. More mundane: the Fabbrica offers an extremely good breakfast, ditto parkingplace and is dogloving. We'll be back!

I have stayed here multiple times. This was my first time in just a regular double room and the experience was as good as always. The wifi works great, the room is comfortable and nicely furnished and the shower water pressure is great. And the breakfast room was right downstairs in the same building, so it made it very convenient to go down and back up while I was working in the mornings. The buffet breakfast has everything. Guido is the most amazing host!

The host was the owner, a very nice people person. the location is prety central, at a walking distance from all turistic points. Parkings are available also very close to property, some with payment some free of charge. about 4.5 eur per day to park. Rooms were nice, not with numbers but nicknames, clean and with antique furniture that made you remember the simplicity of other times.

The 2 bedroom apartment was incredible. It had air conditioning and the kitchen and both bedrooms had balcony's overlooking the piazza. The decorations were artsy. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was a lovely size and the wifi worked well also. It was convenient to everything. Only a few min walk into the historic district and a market, pharmacy & bar were within feet of the property. Definitely exceeded my expectations and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Mauro and Guido were super helpful also. I highly recommend this property.

The kitchen in the 2 bedroom apartment could have used a few glasses and some dishwashing liquid and a sponge, but otherwise absolutely no complaints.

I love everything about La Fabbrica dell'Oro as I have stayed here before. Mauro & Guido are great hosts. The accommodations are always spacious, well kept, attractive, clean & comfortable. The location is perfect, being only a 5 min walk to the center and right on the corners of the B&B are a Despar market, pharmacy & a great cafe. It was fixed up so lovely for Christmas also. They make you feel at home and can't wait to return again!

Decor was very interesting and unusual. It was nice to meet the painter who did much of this. Great to be able to park in the enclosed courtyard. We were lucky to get an upgraded room with fridge.

Bread at breakfast was very poor, but if one wanted cake there was loads of choice (I dont eat cake at breakfast) Very poor soundproofing between rooms when other people came back late.

The host laid on an elaborate breakfast in a room where there is so much to look at. Bathroom was very clean.

this is not really a criticism just a remark: The deco is quite quirky- which is fine, if a little over the top for some tastes. It occurred to us that the ceiling decoration was applied in the wrong orientation, because if you look at it from where you lay your head the image of the putti is upside down. But that is an experience in itself! overall positive experience. we were very grateful to lay our heads down after a long journey.
