The grounds were very pretty and the room was nice and sufficient for a one night stay. The breakfast was very enjoyable.

Parking was quite a ways from the room. And then we had to go up a couple of flights of stairs to get to the room with luggage. (Two women, with luggage traveling Italy top to bottom lol) When having a conversation at the front desk whilst soaked to the bone, the clerk kept saying, but we could’ve helped get your luggage for you Because it was raining outside and I said well you could’ve helped with the luggage but that’s a long walk to my car in the rain either way.

I really loved the beautiful villa and the garden, the beach was fantastic and the hotel workers were all very friendly!:) Special thanks to Angelo, one of the owners, who was kind to show me some parts of the Roman times wall that is still in the hotel area:) Also special thanks to Indira from the reception was very helpful and friendly and who speaks Russian, which was helpful to me:) Everything was great, would love to come back again!:) The vibes of the place are very aristocratic and relaxed and it’s a great place to de-stress and just enjoy sun, beach and good food:)

The Pool and grounds were sensational. The pictures do not do it justice. The rooms were very nice and clean. Check in and check out staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely friendly local cats! :)

3 out of the 5 nights we stayed, there were private parties / weddings on and the hotel pool area was then occupied and out of bounds, we felt like we were intruding and not aloud to be in the hotel grounds. The pool shut at 6pm every night which in my opinion was too early considering it stays light until nearly 9pm. We are a young family with 2 children (13 and 10) and the rest of the hotel guests were a much more mature croud, an elderly woman told my 10 year old daughter to stop talking in the pool as she was trying to relax. The Restaurant was overated and the food was not great. The Breakfast buffet was not great The fold out bed for my children in our room was extremely uncomfortable.

We stayed for a week in the villa with our extended family which included three children (14, 7 and 1 year old), and all of us enjoyed every moment of our stay. We absolutely loved delicious breakfasts with home-baked pastries! The hotel has a very nice beach on a wooden platform with a tent which saved us from the scorching heat at the end of July. The sea next to the platform is knee-deep and and is good for children and adults as it gets deeper further away. We liked the swimming pool as well: it is large, clean, and there are both a deep part for swimming and a shallow part for young children. The garden around the villa is beautiful and well kept. We are grateful for having three rooms for our families next to each other. There is so much history on the villa to explore! The staff are friendly and helpful.

There was nothing we didn‘t like

The property is amazing - on large grounds, surrounded by olive and lemon trees, with a beautiful large swimming pool. It has a real Mediterranean feel. The buildings have been wonderfully renovated and retained the old-world Italian charm and class. Excellent value for the money. The buffet breakfasts in the morning were delicious with a good selection.

I liked everything. Just keep in mind that it is not the best location without a car: the nearest beaches are not right there but a few minutes walk away, and Gaeta is a short drive away. With a car everything is perfect: restaurants, beautiful towns like Gaeta and Sperlonga, lots of great beaches and coastlines, mountains with panoramic views, etc., are just a short drive away.

Location is good. Close to the beach and quiet.

-Showers should be updated, it’s so easy to install a rain shower and make it look and feel better. -Being in a building that is more than 100 years old is super nice, having furniture from the same time is not that good. -Breakfast was the biggest disappointment, felt like there is nothing to eat, everything was bought from outside, so little options, not was you expect from a hotel in Italy.

Everything was amazing, especially the location, the lemon and orange trees all around the property, the swimming pool, the bar... the restaurant was okay-ish, nothing spectacular, so we only had dinner there once (the service was very good though, very nice and friendly staff). The rest of the time we ate at a nearby restaurant/pizzeria by the beach.

The private beach wasn't really a beach, but a deck with lounge chairs with steps into the sea. But it had its own bar and the guys tending the bar were very friendly. Also, the 'beach' closed at 6 PM, which was a pity... we would have enjoyed staying later, at least until dinner.

Where nice garden and hotel complex with private beach. It has also good restaurant offering tasty lunch and dinner. Stuff was very friendly and good WIFI everywhere (even in the beach and garden). It is very easy to go from Rome with train (1 h 23min) and hotel is near to Gaeta-Formia train station.

Rooms are bit too old, they could try to make them still classical old style but more modern and trendy touch to it. It is not so easy to get to nearby cities when you don’t have a car. There is local bus what is possible to use, but walk would be more than 1h to Gaeta. But there are also few other restaurants nearby the hotel.

The hotel was beautifully landscaped. The pool was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and it was nice sitting outdoors while sipping our cappuccinos. The location was good and outside the congested old town area while being convenient to it. Highly recommend staying here for a relaxing visit to Gaeta.

The bathroom was a bit small and there were no hooks or anything on which to hang the wet towels after showering. The towels and sheets were changed everyday which gives a feeling of luxury but in the spirit of trying to be “environmentally friendly ” it wasn’t necessary and the hotel may want to consider their policy. Nothing to do with the hotel but make sure you make dinner reservations if dining in the Old Town. It was impossible to find a restaurant in the Old Tiwn one night without one.

It is a grand old hotel with beautiful grounds and buildings. The staff was ver helpful.

The shower and hairdryer were old. The shower was in a smaller bathtub with a curved bottom, not leaving much space to stand comfortably. The hair dryer looked like it was from the 70s, one speed, one heat level.
