Hotel Du Lac

Location - for our journey from other areas of Italy, train/ferry to the doorstep with luggage it's ideal! During the holiday bus and ferry are on hand for trips in any direction. Breakfast - straightforward self service, very helpful and efficient staff, ideal variety for good healthy start to the day, on a personal note I got grapefruit juice every morning as I have at home - rarely found in other hotels we stay in. Room spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and balcony/views exactly as expected. Receptionists very helpful with local knowledge and booked us a taxi to the airport with a very pleasant, efficient and helpful driver.

Would have liked a bath and a wall mounted shower not a rain shower one

Very cute hotel. The location suited us well. The area is not to busy and we could travel with the ferry to other parts of Lake Garda. The hotel offers a nice breakfast and you can sit outside and enjoy views of the lake while enjoying the good variety of breakfast. The hotel is clean and the staff is professional.

We did not enjoy the size of our room. It was very small and we had hardly space to move. The lovely balcony overlooking the lake is great though. But if you are tall, have big suitcases or stay for more than two days,I will recommend a bigger room. There is no work space or dressing table. The shower is very very small.

The location is fabulous, just a very short walk to the boat service that takes you around the lake, breakfast was lovely, all presented very well, a really good choice, something for everyone, spotlessly clean, nothing was too much trouble, room was really good, spacious, plenty of storage, air con very nice too.

I think the menu could be improved with a little more choice, some of the dishes were a little salty, we ate every night in the hotel, staff were excellent, very attentive, table linen immaculate, really nice vibe, such a lovely position overlooking the lake.

This hotel has been one of the best we have stayed at. Staff on reception were so lovely and really helpful. We took 2 children with us, and nothing was too much trouble. It's the little touches around the hotel that make it so special. The pool was fabulous and sunbathing area clean and well kept. It's an absolutely amazing place to stay with children, and we highly recommend it.

There is nothing to complain about or raise.

The hotel is modern and very " fresh" You do need to.walk to.the hotel and parking is about 200 meters away. Our room was small by American standards but had a very nice bathroom and very comfortable bed. The Breakfast was excellent and dining in the restaurant one evening was very good. The desk staff were friendly and very helpful.with recommendations and booking reservations. Overall the location of Gardone was very well placed on the lake and the ferry dock was only.A few steps away. For visiting the other towns on the lake the.ferries are the best choice.

I would have preferred a larger terrace, but those rooms were not available.

Perfect location overlooking lake. Great breakfast. Good staff on reception informative & friendly. Boat leaves from outside & northern lake tour worth doing. 20% discount given to hotel guests.

Absolutely no where to put anything in the room. No drawers or shelves even in the bathroom the only surface was the windowsill not suitable to put anything on as the curtain was too long & window opened inwards. Sink in room again very little surface around it & had to store make up bag in the sink. Small wardrobe but couldn’t get to second door as close to the bed. No where even to have a suitcase to live out of. Definitely a design floor.

An absolute gem of a find on Lake Garda. Great location with stunning surroundings - directly overlooking the lake, beautiful nature everywhere, ferry pier just outside of the hotel and the most amazing lido and beach 5 mins walk away. Magical! Hotel staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant twice and the food was great, especially a fresh truffle pasta - oh my God, delicious!!! Rooms are all renovated and despite being on a smallish side have absolutely everything one might need and more. The best 3* I’ve ever stayed in by far!

It’s a little bit further away from Verona, so our taxi ride was a bit expensive, but it was well worth it.

We booked 7 rooms for our son’s wedding on Isola del Garda. We give Hotel du Lac, Gardone Riviera a 10++. The rooms we’re clean and comfortable. The views outstanding. Breakfast was a tasty variety. The service was the best. Martina/Jackie and staff are wonderful. They went out of their way to be helpful with many parts of the wedding weekend. Including searching for a lost diamond from mother of groom’s ring, to assisting with last minute transportation needs, clothes steamers, calming the wedding chaos, and even finding a tailor to fix the zipper on the mother of bride’s dress within minutes before the ceremony. Hotel du Lac is a 5 star hotel for us and we highly recommend staying there.

Nothing

The hotel itself is really nice, right on the beach. Breakfast is good, a lot of varietes but lacking live egg station. Room was clean, although a bit small.

Microlocation is nice but Gardone riviera is a very small city not a lot activities. You either have to take a boat which departs right outside the hotel or a car to drive to other cities.

Location, was excellent, right on the lake, and although the shops around it were quite exclusive and expensive, there was no tourist tatt. Well maintained. 30 seconds from ferry. The staff in this hotel were without exception very friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem. We enjoyed relaxing at the Lido.

Gardone Riviera itself is a little awkward to get to. From Milan train to Brescia then a service bus, which was very cheap, but took over two hours. We opted to share a seven seater taxi back to the airport.
