We loved the charm, cleanliness and helpfulness. The owner was very helpful and the breakfast was delightful. We traveled with our adult children and this was their first trip to Italy. I wanted to them to experience the charm and vintage feel of Italy. And this Palazzo Rustici did exactly that.

As with almost all places in Italy, parking is difficult. However, the owner was very helpful in assisting us in parking. And, once you get the feel of the area, we managed. So this really wasn't a problem.

We enjoyed the whole experience! Paulo was an excellent host. He was friendly and very helpful. The location was very good. A short walk to the Duomo Piazza and so many of the sights. The courtyard was quiet and there were chairs for us to sit and relax outside.

I don't think there was anything about the stay that could have been better!

Location is perfect- very close to Piazza Duomo, actually in the street lined with palazzos and other historic buildings. The hotel itself is the historic house, very well maintained. The owner, signor Paolo, is a nice person, responsive and helpful, he provide us with some valuable advices Concerning the l’Aquila city- which is beautiful- places to see, to eat and bye things. Insomnia, very recommended.

Well situated within walking distance to major attractions. Received a warm welcome and was provided with a details guide of the local and regional attractions. I highly recommend this B&B.

Nothing in particular. Public parking may be a challenge some days but received help from the property manager to find a spot.

This place was a hidden gem. Our host Paolo was amazing - we had trouble at the beginning getting from the airport and parking but he always answered when we messaged. The lodging was incredibly beautiful - hand-painted frescos and antiques mixed with modern touches like Kartell lamps. The bathroom was a dream and our breakfast was outstanding. We will definitely visit again and would recommend it to anyone who would like to stay in Aquila.

The Palazzo was lovely and the owner and his family couldn’t have been more helpful.

L’Aquila is still suffering from the 2009 earthquake and is still in the process of being rebuilt. So from an absolutely selfish point of view our terrace was spoilt by having scaffolding right in front of it.

Paper plates and cups at breakfast! We were not offered the use of the hot tub/spa. Maybe it was closed for the end of season.

Great location, Paolo was an exceptional host, room and facilities could not be faulted, good breakfast. Lots to see and do in the area. Must Ray Arrosticini Divini for great local food. Parking just opposite.

Nothing at all

Beautiful suite with vaulted ceilings, very large rooms, and adequate air conditioning — even by American standards, even in July. Terrific local cheeses and salami served with breakfast, which is delivered to the room every day. Wonderful hospitality — friendly, helpful, eager to accommodate requests, no language problems even though we don’t speak Italian. Location is perfect — close to Piazza del Duomo, but still on a quiet street. Cool shower with no less than SIX different water options and digital water temperature. But the shower is nothing compared to the bathtub. It’s HUGE and has its own room, its own towel warmer, even its own Bluetooth speaker. (Yes, the “bathroom” is actually a long hallway with multiple rooms.). The bedroom windows have wooden shutters which are very effective at keeping the room dark after sunrise. The whole apartment is very well lit. This suite is amazing and I hope you don’t rent it, because we want it to be available again every time we return to L’Aquila!

Be careful about driving in and out of centro. Much of the city center becomes a pedestrian only zone in evenings and on weekends. We would have been better off if we’d parked the car on arrival and left it parked until we checked out. The good news is that everything is easily accessible by foot.

The host, was fantastic. Gave us lots of great travel tips and advice on things to do in L’Aquilla. The photos are exactly as per the room. Beautiful place to stay.
