The hotel was an excellent base for exploring the Cinque Terre, just a short walk down steps to the station - or into the centre of Moneglia. We had one of the 'studio' rooms which had a fabulous, private, split level patio with a lovely sea view. Wide choice of things for breakfast, though we weren't staying on a B&B basis, so mostly self catered from our kitchenette.

Coffee provided at breakfast was a bit disappointing.

The pool was fun to have for our kids, and the location out of the fray of the Cinque Terre but with a similar vibe was just perfect for us. Staff was also always lovely and super helpful. Beaches nearby were great, especially in the early evening.

It’s a little isolated at the top of the hill where you have to hike to the cute town or beach or train station…but that was also part of the appeal. Really not much to say that we didn’t like

Great facilities, the indoor pool was a welcome place to relax after a long journey. Rooms well appointed and staff very friendly. large garage at the rear of hotel great for parking our motorcycles in.

It’s a bit of a challenge to find the way to the indoor pool. signs point along a corridor but then disappear. needed to get the correct lift to the pool level. It’s a 10 minute walk down several flights of stairs to the main resort facilities and beach.

Great hotel, great staff, great breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised. What a great stay I had and how pretty and calm Moneglia is! The beach is 5 min away and the pool is great. The views are also stunning. For newcomers, I would only suggest a pick up service that can be arranged with the reception. The hotel is up the hill, which provide lovely sights but it can be hard with luggage. Staying there is definitely worth it and I can’t wait to be back there.

Very comfortable fully contained small room with balcony overlooking pleasant rural hillside. Spotless bedroom, linen and bathroom. Generous breakfast. Welcoming internal email providing directions for guests arriving by car - though I was arriving by train.

Without being provided with further information on the best way to reach the hotel from Moneglia railway station (which I did request by internal email) it appears that if coming on foot, you must walk up around 200 steep rough steps (with your bag) to reach the hotel. So when arriving at Moneglia station, head downwards, walk about 60 metres on the right side footpath, and watch out for a recessed sign saying to the Mondial hotel. Turn right at the sign, and start the upwards walk. Keep watching for further sign. It was worth the walk, as lovely views when you reach hotel at the top, but not very practical.

staff are very friendly very clean good breakfast location and view are fantastic only thing is if you have luggage or can’t walk uphill you have to call the restaurant before hand so that they could arrange a taxi for you we enjoyed our stay

there is nothing that I did not like but I wish there was a kettle and coffee available to make in the room instead of going to the restaurant each time you want coffee

The room was very good, and staff put a lot of thought to give us rooms that suited our needs, something I had never experienced before. Breakfast was excellent, and the area is fresh at night, as it is on a small hill. It is 5 minutes away from the center of the town.

Good breakfast, clean & well organized Rooms with a view gave a splendid vista over the sea and coast Quick access by foot to Moneglia train station but it would be difficult to do the footpath with luggage

Rooms functional but compact Access difficult - by road through tunnels although the hotel gave quite precise instructions on how to find the hotel. Otherwise by foot from Moneglia town via a footpath that was quite steep in places

very friendly family hotel. Great views and lovely garden. Owner really helpful and took me down to the station in his car, very nice atmosphere. Would definitely go back

Location a bit tricky with heavy bags at night, the train noise might put some people off but you don't hear it with the windows shut at night

Loved the balcony view and the swimming pool with open roof.

You should tell people there is about a hundred steps to climb to get to the hotel from the train station. It was a huge effort at the end of a long journey to get the suitcase up all the stairs.
