Stepping into this cozy house was like stepping into a warm embrace. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the most exceptional hosts who made us feel right at home. Their attention to detail and genuine warmth set the tone for our entire stay. The house itself was a haven of comfort, with every corner exuding a sweet charm that made it impossible not to feel relaxed. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the wonderful terrace, a hidden gem that offered breathtaking views and the perfect spot to unwind with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the hospitality of our hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our visit was perfect, from providing insider tips, planning our journey back to the city, to whipping up delicious breakfasts that left us craving more. In all, our experience at this delightful house exceeded all expectations. It's a rare gem where comfort, charm, and hospitality converge to create an unforgettable retreat. We can't wait to return and experience its magic once again.

We didn’t have enough time to enjoy everything

An incredibly beautiful, historic property, just a couple of minutes walk away from Pepe In Grani. We were offered a whole floor to ourselves; including a big bedroom, private bathroom, dining room & terrace with stunning views. Damiano & Floriana were beyond wonderful hosts, they made us a sensational breakfast, very kindly catering for our dietary requests. The room was immaculately clean & location is restful & quiet. This place is an absolute must, we only wish we had stayed longer. Very highly recommend & we’ll definitely be back. Thank you Damiano & Floriana!

Turning an 18th century olive mill into a B&B was a stroke of genius. We have never stayed at any place like it. And even better, it was just a one minute walk to Pepe in Grani, which is what drew us to the region in the first place! Floriana and Damiano took very good care of us. They were always thinking of what we might need, and even gave us lunch one day just because. They are wonderful people.

This is a highly personal observation, but for me the bed was much too firm. In America I would rate it as an extra, extra firm. My wife liked it though. Your mileage may vary.

This place is stunning and unique. You can feel the love the owners invested in when they prepared the rooms. You can find so many details when you explore the rooms. At first, I thought it would be cold due to the stonewalls, but I was proven wrong. It was so cozy and warm, and we all felt comfortable there. The mixture of old historical and modern elements makes the difference and the uniqueness. There is also a lovely fireplace available. You really can feel the power of this place. The owners are charming and friendly, and we got a very, very lovely breakfast served with traditionally made coffee and bruschetta with homegrown tomatoes and basilica, eggs from their chicken, and various other local delicacies, which made our day. The view from the terrace is stunning. The parking area is nearby, and the best Pizza place on earth - Pepe in Grani - is 20 meters away. We will definitely come back, but then for more days.

All was perfect!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Casa Aulivo in September! Floriana and Damiano were fantastic hosts! From the easy and attentive check in to the delicious homemade breakfast, it was a delight to stay at their property. They made sure you felt comfortable and enjoyed your stay, which we definitely did! We were visiting Caiazzo for Pepe in Grani and the location was perfect walking distance and right near the center of town. We also drove in, and there was a free parking lot a short walk from the property. If you're looking for an authentic, rustic experience this is the place to stay!

This was the highlight of a month in Europe. Damiano and Floriana were wonderful, cheerful and helpful hosts. The carpark is free, safe and easy to access and the offer of their transport of baggage in their beautiful old Fiat Cinquecento should be taken as it's enough effort to climb up the 100 or so steps yourself without bags. The house is wonderfully furnished with period furniture and curiosities from markets. Damiano's beautiful photography graces the walls and displayed in albums, some available to purchase. The bedroom was a cool refuge from the "yellow alert" heatwave. The terrace views rivalled those we'd previously had at Montalcino. Wonderful breakfasts with home baked cakes, wonderful fresh fruit, there own hens eggs.... We hardly needed lunch. Free apperitifs, spirits, tea, coffee, beer... Amazing generosity. They helped us with logistics of transiting in and out of Caserta and Naples each day and considering the more moderate heat I would recommend this. The Caserta Reali carpark is cheap, cool and secure and trains into Naples easy to negotiate. Then... their is Pepi in Grani! Less than 100 metres for the best pizza artistry we have ever had the pleasure to eat. Unable to book 6 months ahead we nevertheless managed due to the excellent management of the restaurant to gain a table 3 nights running. The staff there are wonderful not to mention the great generosity, genuine engagement and casual friendliness of Franco Pepe himself. An unmissable experience we will forever remember The whole experience of Caiazzo, Casa Aulivo and Pepe in Grani should be in 1001 things to do before you die.

The atrium to our room was stifling. Made the bedroom itself seem even more relieving though.

What isn’t to like? Floriana and Damiano have created the perfect B&B in their 18th Century home. Their attention to detail, design aesthetic and genuine warmth as hosts made our stay one of the most memorable of our trip. We came to Caiazzo to eat Pizza at Pepe In Grani, as the location was almost next door. We left having eaten excellent pizza, but it was our stay in the Casa Aulivo that had us wishing we had another night to settle in and have another breakfast on the terrace. Many of the ingredients are lovingly grown and prepared by Floriana and Damiano. We highly recommend taking the train to Caiazzo and experiencing this stunning B&B, and visiting the famous Pepe In Grani.

We were greeted by Floriana who gave us a tour of our stay. We learned from Damiano about the history of the residence. In the evening we enjoyed hot tea from our terrace while the sun set and in the morning we were served fresh orange juice, pastries, coffee and eggs (fresh from the hen!). There was generous heating in our rooms and plenty of hot water during showers. Floriana and Damiano have meticulously curated a beautiful experience through this space - unforgettable and hospitable! Thank you so much!

Damiano could not have been any more welcoming. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. Fresh eggs and produce from his "little farm." Sitting out on the balcony enjoying a breathtaking view with coffee, pastries, hardboiled eggs, fresh fruits and vegetables. This was an amazing gem. We came to town for Pepe in Grani but the relaxing morning on that balcony was the highlight of our 2 week Italian adventure.

Our hosts’ hospitality was warm and welcoming. Damiano met us in the parking lot in his Fiat 500 to collect our luggage and drive it through the narrow alleys to the inn. The residence is exceptional, both the architecture and the decor. Our ”room” was actually an apartment: bedroom, bathroom, large salon/dining room and a kitchen with a terrace overlooking the mountains. The breakfast menu and serving time was at our choosing. All in a word… perfetto!

We loved everything. Seriously.
