Located on the main road in to Porto Cesareo, I found this to be a quiet, relaxing stay. The rooms are clean and well ventilated. There is a spacious outside area with sun beds and a pool should you want to spend a day quietly relaxing. I found the staff to be courteous and welcoming. The breakfast was well-presented and I also chose to have the meal in the restaurant one night which was of a good quality.

The location of this place is a bit of an issue. Ok, if you are driving into town it's fine. But in the evening when you want to have a drink and a walk it's a bit of a stretch into the centre of Porto Cesareo. The return walk is also not particularly well lit at night so you need to make sure you know where you are going.

The staff were very attentive. The breakfast was traditionally Italian and was a great way to start the day. The pool area is vast and great for lounging with your friends. The A/C in the bedrooms was fantastic.

The receptionist was nice and welcoming. Garden well kept. The breakfast was quite nice.

-Nothing to do in the area, one needs to have a car. -Just a sliding pane to separate the room from the tiny bathroom. -No complimentary water bottle in the room. -We asked for a room far from the road noise, yet our small bungalow was the closest to the road. That said, since there is no moquito net on the window, we chose to sleep with closed window, which isolated the noise quite well.

Very nice property, not too far from the beach. Very quiet and peaceful, in a beautiful garden. The pool is very comfortable. The whole property is very well kept and clean.

It would be good to have towels by the pool as a plus.

Overall experience not comparable to a 4 stars hotel. Breakfast very disappointing, swimming pool very close (almost into) the parking, location not connected by anything else your own car.

The worst experience at this hotel and trust me the proof is in the pictures. On September 18, 2023, I booked my hotel stay in Puglia for 4 nights at Villa Hermosa Hotel. Before booking, I made sure to check all reviews for this hotel. Everything seemed great, the pictures on booking and the reviews seemed promising as well. I booked a standard room with 1 queen bed for my fiancé and me. Long story short, my fiancé and I made our way to our hotel for early check-in. We were both very anxious to finally check in and settle down at our hotel. As soon as we walked into our room, we couldn’t help but notice a tiny, old, and filthy room. Let’s just say that the pictures, services, and amenities that were described by booking, did not match upon our arrival at Hotel Villa Hermosa. Our AC did not work, the room was hot and humid, and the sheets were wet from the humidity. The room was very dirty, there was rust everywhere in the bathroom, our safe did not work, and was not bolted to the wall. The hotel staff knew the issues we had with our room and didn’t bother to come fix it for us. We took a tour of the hotel and couldn't believe how dirty, depressing, and old the pool area looked. The pool was yellow, the hot tub was even worse. To top it off, the hotel manager told us if we needed to use the pool, we had to use a shower cap at all times. It’s clear to say that the pool area was not at all as advertised on booking.com. I felt like I was lied to when I paid for my 4-night stay at this hotel. There was a random stain of blood on the sheets, the comforter was ripped. The bathroom was a disaster, there was rust in the shower, cracks, and hair in the sink. Not to mention, we had no hot water while showering. The chair in the hotel room was falling apart. The rack to hang wet bathing suits was falling off the wall outside of the hotel room. The walls were old and stained. It was not at all what we both expected.

The hotel staff mentioned that they were fully booked and couldn’t do anything for us. When we spoke to the man at the front desk the night before we checked out, he told us that there was nothing that could have been done and to come back in the morning when Lucia the manager was there. He didn’t seem to have a care in the world about our concern. When we got to the front desk the following morning, we told Lucia that we couldn’t stay at the hotel because of all the reasons I listed in this review, and she was so aggressive, not understanding, and rude. She started to get mad at us and didn’t want to listen to why we didn’t want to stay. She didn’t try and resolve anything with us or accommodate us. She didn’t try to change our rooms either. She told us to deal with booking.com, as that is who I booked the hotel with. I had to book another hotel room for the following day, and it was very expensive. I had to spend more money, which was completely inconvenient and unacceptable. To whomever is reading this and is considering booking this hotel, please look at the pictures and reconsider. Puglia is beautiful but try and find a better place to stay during your holiday.
