I was looking to a place close enough to the Valley of Temples in Agrigento, and Borgo delle Pietre could not be more perfect. It is ideally located in an idyllic area of olive trees and vines not far from the main road which leads to the temples. The property is very new and stunning in every detail, from comfort to decoration and lighting. Breakfast is excellent, but the absolute highlight is the property restaurant where we ended up dining both nights. Chef Adriana prepared two of the best meals we had during our whole three-week stay in Sicily. To sum up, I would certainly not look further when visiting the area.

Very good breakfast -- we were the only guests that day and they laid out the full breakfast buffet for us. Lovely staff, particularly the owner Dominico and his wife, Mara... and Mark, a friendly half-Irish, English-speaking member of staff who we really liked (although we do speak Italian). The style and design of the place is well-thought-out with a great deal of care and love... my wife liked the pool area and there are some great touches, such as the rows of cacti in large pots and the swinging sofa under the olive trees. Highly recommended.

The 'smart' TV was quite difficult to tune... but that is all.

This is an ancient inn in the country, lovingly restored by the owners. It is surrounded by fields and olive trees (and some solar panels) and cooled by the breeze off the ocean. The charming courtyard is the heart of the stone structure, a good place for breakfast, an aperitif and conversation and I imagine dinner, too, on warm nights. Kitties sleep in the sun and don't seem to bother the birds that fill the air with their song (and even keep a nest in the reception area). The indoor dining and living room is very attractive, modern yet cozy. Behind the hotel is the inviting swimming pool. Dinners were a highlight - we enjoyed two excellent meals served by the very friendly, helpful staff, Angelo and Marc. The owners are very generous with their time and are personally interested in your enjoying their hotel. The Borgo is close to the Valley of the Temples and a number of great beaches.

I would recommend booking early. Our room was a good size and very comfortable, but the windows were right on the courtyard, so less private then others. If I had reserved earlier, we would have had more options.

No words could describe how wonderful this place is! It's just a true jewel and one of the best places we have stayed at. From extremely friendly and helpful staff, through a beautifully designed and renovated historical buildings to the most delicious dinner we had in Sicily. It is a family business and you can really feel the level of attention to details they have to make their guests' stay unforgettable. Located in a calm rural area, surrounded by an olive grove. A very convenient location to explore the coast and the Valley of the Temples. A car is needed and the road to the property may be a bit challenging but it is really wort it. Do not hesitate to book a dinner (vegetarian option available and a good selection of local wines) and, if only the weater is good, enjoy it outside. It's magical. The chef Adriana is a star! I am also very grateful for such a great dining experience. I am allergic to some of the most popular products in the local cuisine and they we able to accommodate it and made me feel very safe. Huge thank you to the amazing staff and above all to Mara and Domenico who created such a wonderful place and were the best hosts!

brand new premises, stylish, exquisite decoration. room ample, well decorated, all details for a comfortable stay. excellent rapport with owners and staff members, all committed to ensure a pleasant stay to visitors. dinner offered on site (quite conveniente given that location is three km away from any alternative) is excellent, chef Adriana makes sure that guests enjoy different tastes evening after evening. breakfast is very good with wide offer of local products. once again, staff shows commitment to guests satisfaction and this include breakfast, bar and dinner personnel. would return, no doubt about it.

while first impression is that premises are far away from main road, it ends up being pleasant to feel yourself away and happy to enjoy and relax in a natural way environment

Staff, room, amenities and breakfast - all 5 stars.

Location: up the hill about a couple of miles from the main coastal road - the way is an unlit, one lane, windy path with several spots with big pot holes and gravel. It can be dicey! especially if a car is coming in the opposite direction. The location and road to and back is NOT a deal breaker - just be aware! The good news is that it’s only a 10 min drive to Turkish Steps/beaches and about 30 min drive to Valley of Temples.

Beautiful stylishly renovated farmhouse property. Each room is unique and all with bespoke furniture. Bathrooms are spacious too. The most fabulous breakfasts including freshly home baked cakes each day. You must have dinner here too, local produce beautiful prepared and presented and tasted wonderful. Family run by Mara, her husband and their team, all of whom could not have been more helpful. Pool area and a variety of shaded area to sit at.

Only that there is a narrow and bumpy road to reach the property which takes about 5-10mins from the main road. But it is worth the drive.

Lovely breakfast, presented with care and attention. Loved the fresh orange juice as well as plenty of fruit. The cappuccinos were of a thirst-quenching size. To sit on the beautiful terrace and enjoy a calm breakfast or dinner was heaven. The dinner menu was perfect, with something for everyone. A very personal approach from Mena and Domenico made this a very special place to stay and the highlight hotel of our Sicilian holiday.

All lovely. The road up to the hotel was a bit bumpy, but beautiful in its own way, and once at the beautifully restored Borgo, all was calm.

Beautifully-designed rural hotel with charming hosts, nice pool, and fantastic breakfast. Food is brought in daily for the dinner menu which is simple and largely fish-based. They do check on allergies/dietary limitations in advance and can make accommodations for which I was grateful. Convenient for local sights like the Valley of the Temples.

Perhaps the hosts could consider a half board rate. The room with dinner/drinks on top felt expensive.

Utterly beautiful restored property. Absolutely charming and perfectly done. Our room was a delight, super comfortable bed, and amazing shower, good aircon, lovely windows, Netflix and Apple TV login possible etc. Treated with 5* service, drinks by pool etc. You will not regret staying here if you are visiting the temples, stay here for two nights to experience a little bit of luxury and beauty and a short distance from Agrigento - a region which, other than the temples, has not much else to appeal. The road is not a problem at all by the way. Just like other roads in Sicily.

Liked it all.
